I haven't really met anyone else here yet. But my friend Maya bought one of the same charms I just gave you a little while ago!

[She could buy one, too, even if it's not likely to work.]

Protection against lactose intolerance, finding things you didn't know you lost, keeping you from getting lost, ones to keep you warm in the snow...

[So a few useful ones and a couple of completely absurd ones.]

I didn't know you could... [She doesn't know how to finish that. She stares for a couple of long moments, then she smiles, but it's a bewildered sort of smile, this time.]

I could use one to keep warm in the snow.

[Digging into her sleeve again, she produces the charm in question.]

[Elly looks it over, thoughtful, then her smile becomes a little more genuine, as she pulls her wallet out of a pocket.]

Hm, well... [She fiddles in the wallet, before she pulls out a generous number of coins, and hands them over.] Here.

[Jinxie blinks at the coins in her hand, and her eyes go as wide as platters.]

Th-this much...? This is too generous, Miss van Houten!

[She glances down at the money again.]

Are you sure?

Please! I insist. It isn't a problem for me at all.

[It could mean eating at the café a couple less times next week, but Elly can't really call that a problem.]

[Jinxie smiles brightly, happily pocketing the money. She does still look a little sheepish, though.]

I just wish there's something more I could do for you to deserve it. Are you sure you don't want to borrow my socks or something for the walk home? They're dry!

N-No, ah, no thank you, Jinxie. I... yes, I believe my feet will be fine. It's good to air your feet out, sometimes! The offer is, um, is appreciated.

[Jinxie rubs the back of her head, looking embarrassed.]

Sorry, I got a little carried away. But I do appreciate it. If the Rangers ever need any help with Ghost or Psychic Pokemon, let me know. I'm not half as good as Papa is, but I can still sense them if I concentrate.
