Anyone going outside the city... please be careful, and make sure you and your Pokemon are properly protected.

[To most people, this would probably mean 'wearing a big fluffy coat and scarf' or 'making sure you have an emergency kit.' Jinxie is not most people.]

I have charms against freezing, charms to keep you from getting lost in the forest, charms to prevent your socks from getting wet...

[She'll go on like that for a little while. You get the picture.]

[Action - Forest Shrine]

[It probably isn't the wisest thing Jinxie could have done, but she's worried about the iron shortage too, and she feels like she needs to help in any way she can. The Forest Shrine isn't always the safest place to be, especially in dangerous weather conditions, but Jinxie always feels at peace there. Her trusty Duskull is with her too, so she feels a little more at ease. Maybe she'll be able to find something special around here that will help out with the city's problems - if not something she can make into a new charm, then maybe a Pokemon that can help.]

Let's pray for guidance, Dokuro.

[And she approaches the stone altar with all due reverence, bowing her head before pressing her hands together in silent prayer. Dokuro the Duskull follows suit, its red eyes slipping shut as it floats beside Jinxie's head.]

[Action - Old City]

[Once she's back from the Forest Shrine, Jinxie decides to take a look in Old City to see if she can find anything the salvage teams might have overlooked. Again, it's not that likely, but her desire to help is sincere, and now she's got the help of the Foongus she bonded with at the shrine.]

Be careful, you two. Here, wear these, they'll protect you.

[Digging two handmade charms out of her pockets, Jinxie applies one each to the foreheads of her Pokemon before they venture down into the tunnels.]

Near the edge of town. I'll give you directions.

[Which she does, because I don't know the exact layout of the city.]

[ IT'S OKAY I DON'T EITHER.

But she hums as she listens to that, and then eventually nods to herself, mentally considering how much she has for funds ]

H'kay. I'll be over there later today-- Wait. Name, what's your name?

Jinxie Tenma. You'll... probably know me when you see me.

[She's at least self-aware enough to know that much.]

Melaka Fray. I'll be the uncomfortable looking one with the dual colored hair.

[ Damn cold ]

[ As promised, it's later in the day. It's probably a good few hours later after going about other things in her day when she remembers "oh, right?" charms. And thus looks around for someone who looks like they would be a Jinxie Tenma -- oh, and wearing charms, that would help. She pulls her jacket tighter about herself. Ugh it's cold ]

[Yup, there she is a short distance down the street, wearing a protective charm prominently on her forehead and with a Duskull floating along beside her.]

[ Hah. Okay, charms on her forehead. Mel puts a hand on her hips and makes her way over to the other girl ]

Jinxie Tenma?

That's right. And you're Melaka, right?

Oh good, you remember.

[ A brief, somewhat wary, eye goes to the Duskull and then she nods to herself and looks back to Jinxie ]

So a money charm and the one for getting lost, right?

[Jinxie slides a stack of charms out from inside her sleeve, deftly spreading them out in her hand and selecting the two Mel had asked for before.

[ She nodded - but- Holy crap. She can't help but laughs a little - a very short "haha." at that ]

You make all those yourself? [ Despite the laugh, she sounds impressed ]

Uh-huh. Me and my family.

[ She nods again, and rummages in her pocket for-- three dollars? Is that insulting? It seems logical to her, and honestly, she's not sure she can afford more than that right now. but three bills come out of her pocket ]

Impressive. That's a lotta work.

[A donation is a donation. Some members of Jinxie's community have more legitimate jobs in the city, but everyone pitches in to make and sell little charms like this to help out where they can. She's not about to quibble over price.]

Here you go, then.

[She hands over the two charms, bowing her head gratefully as she takes the money and slips it back into her sleeve with the other ones.]

Yeah, no problem. [ A bow, and... wow she almost feels bad. Maybe it's just that this girl's got a bit of a sad face. She looks down at the two charms in her hand, and runs a finger down them before - ]

So how do I wear these?

You can just carry them with you. They'll be more powerful if you wear them somewhere on your body like I do, but people usually don't want to do that.

Huh - so it's no problem if I slap 'em on my shoulder or something, under a coat?

That should work just fine.

Awesome. He's hoping that they both come in handy for me, then. [ And she slips both of them into one of the pockets of her jacket for the time being. ]
