action; FOREST SHRINE - backdated to Thursday, all day

[Eren has to make time at least once a week for "field trips" outside of Union. The pokémon he bonded needed fresh air, space, and, in Napoleon's case, to hunt for prey. Eren had never visited the Forest shrine, so he figured that today was as good a day as any to visit it. He sets down his bag of snacks, supplies, books, and his Ranger application and warps his Pokémon into the area. From there, they sort of fan out to do their own thing.

Eren sighs, petting Blitz, who sits at his side] How the hell did I end up bonded to so many Pokémon. How.

[He sighs and takes out his application to work on]

[Rosa the Zubat is fluttering through the trees, collecting berries and fruit and occasionally attacking the shit out of some poor weak bug pokémon for its delicious life juice. She's skittish, though, and may hide if approached]

[Victor the Lombre is taking a nap in a patch of sunlight by the shrine. Hey, it was as good a place as any, right? He's also dressed… cutely… He has on a knitted vest and a silky scarf because wow he's super cool]

[Matilda the Scraggy is not so quiet. She's rampaging through the forest and clearing, challenging any Pokémon she comes across to a fight. Any pokémon. She's kind of ridiculous.]

[And of course, Napoleon the Tyrantrum is on the hunt. He's not very subtle, but he's pretty quick, and he makes up for his ungainlyness with big jaws. Of course he misses. Several times. And lets out a roar of frustration!! HE'S HUNGRY, DAMMIT!! Why won't the food hold STILL?!]

{I haven't seen Whirlipede or Scolipede but I bet they're cool! You were really cool when you evolved!}

[Bug could you be more obvious. He hummmmmms and hops a little closer when Victor scoots because he is obviously leaving him room to sit right.]

{Ahh, you think so? Well, shucks. Thanks.}

[Victor can't help but smile a bit. COMPLIMENT HIM MORE, BUG. He's vain as can be]

{Super cool! And... heroic and stuff too!}

[He looks a little shy then, wriggling.]

{Thanks for saving me and stuff......}

{Aaah... well... you're welcome, and stuff.} [he rubs the back of his head, then moves forward to scratch behind the flower on his "ear"] {Not in my nature to let folks get crushed, you know?}

[SO COOL. Bug's eyes may be extremely shiny at the moment.]

{I want to grow up to be really cool too! Do you think I can be?}

[wow kid you've got something in your eyes there. glitter? doesn't that hurt??? wow]

{Aaaaah... I think you can do anything you set your mind to!}

[he likes being so cool in this little pokémon's eyes. It's doing wonders for his ego. Not that he needs it]

[Bug will continue to stroke Victor's ego, forever. Even when they're big grown up evolved Pokemon. Speaking of evolution though, Bug is starting to get really revved up on all this heroic talk. He jumps up and starts running circles around the other Pokemon.]

{I wanna evolve! I'm gonna do it!}

[Victor is getting tired just watching Bug run around. He frowns a little and puts a hand on his back]

{Hey, relax, huh? All your running around makes me nervous.} [DREAMY SMILE] {Worry about all that later. Today is a day for relaxing. It's warmer than it has been. Spring'll be here soon.}

{Spring's best time for evolution! I can't fall behind!}

[He continues round and round, starting to... glow a little bit in his excitement. That dreamy smile doesn't help his enthusiasm.]

[Victor blinks. is that little bug glowing? Really?]

{Uh, hey, you've got a... some light. Stuff. Going on there.}

[springcleaning]

{Huh?}

[Clumsy Bug, when he looks around at Victor to see what he means he trips forward again and goes rolling... and rolling... and with a blast of light, he wheels around to the other. Wait, wheels? Bug has evolved into Whirlipede! Through..... the power of love? Or something. Either way, he kicks up grass as he spins back to the other, not quite sure what's happening.]

[Woah. Victor had never seen a pokémon evolve before. Of course HE had, but he didn't see it. And Victor had been taking a nap when Blitz evolved (damn these humans who always did things during the day!). It's really kind of... magical. He can't keep a small grin off his beak]

{Wow, kid! You evolved!}

[springcleaning]

{I did? ... I did!!}

[He bounces excitedly, off a rock on the ground and... heads right for Victor. He doesn't seem to know how to stop... Luckily he's just evolved, so he's not going at the massively high speeds of a trained Whirlipede, but when he crashes into Victor the Lombre gets a taste of his new spikes.]

{I'm sorry! I can't stop!!}

[stahlflugel]

[Oof! Victor takes the full brunt of the tackle! And the poisonous spikes on Bug's shell. They bite into his skin. He pushes Bug off and offers a smile]

{Ouch, kid! You've got some power there! It's fine, I'm... I...}

[Suddenly, Victor does not feel well. His flower and leaf droop and he pales a bit. He sits down and groans, shivering. Well done Bug, you poisoned him!]

[springcleaning]

[!!!!! Bug panics a little, his feelers twitching as he swivels around.]

{What happened? Are you sick?}

[stahlflugel]

{Uuuggbbblll.... I think... ya mighta poisoned me, kid... G... go find Eren. He should have some pecha berries... ... Ugggh I'm gonna be sick.}

[pardon him while he leans over to puke. Once he's done with that, he falls forward and passes out. Thankfully, not in his puke]

[springcleaning]

[Ewww!!! If Levi was here, Bug knew who'd be in trouble... when Gunsmoke pukes it's never a fun time for anyone. But, oh yeah, panicking!!]

{I-I'll be right back!!}

[He rolls off, looking for Eren frantically, all around the Shrine. He... slams right into him when he spots him and Blitz.]

{Eren Eren Eren Eren Eren!!! Victor's sick! He's sick, I stung him!! It was an accident!!!!}

[Eren is busy working on his application, chewing on the end of his pen. Lightly. Because you only need one mouthful of foul-tasting ink to know the limits. When an unfamiliar pokémon with a very familiar voice literally rolls up to him and rams into him, he lets out a yelp. Blitz had the good sense to get out of the way. He blinks and sniffs Bug. Definitely Bug!! Smells like Bug...]

{Woah! Bug, is that you? Slow down!!} [Eren (carefully) grabs Bug by his shell to get him to stop wiggling around] {You accidentally stung Victor? Is he poisoned?! Hold on.}

[Eren quickly shoves his materials back in his bag and digs out a dried pecha berry.]

{Take me to him, ok?}

[as annoying as Victor and his drool and his pranks and his EVERYTHING were, Eren was... well... attached. Victor had been the first pokémon he'd bonded with out in the wild]

[In his panic, Bug had forgotten he looked entirely different than before. Luckily, Eren isn't dumb. Well, he's dumb, but at least he recognizes his voice. He bounces a little when Eren sets him back on the ground, rolling back toward Victor.]

{Over here! Over here, Eren!}

[stahlflugel]

[Hey! He's not dumb! He's not the one who accidentally poisoned his crush, Bug. Eren follows, light on his feet, to find Victor face down in the grass, moaning about how everything hurts.

Eren quickly rolls him over and opens his beak, putting the dried berry in]

Swallow, Victor. Swallow it.

{But my stomach huuurrrttts}

[Victor seems to have forgotten he sent for Eren in the first place. Eren growls a bit and holds Victor's bill closed until he swallows. He kind of gags, but the nausea quickly passes as the berry takes effect]

[springcleaning]

[Bug watches worriedly from the side, rolling back and forth and bouncing and generally being annoying.]

{Is he okay? Is he okay Eren? I'm sorry!}

[stahlflugel]

{It'll be ok, Bug,} [Eren says, patting him a bit] {There's no poison a pecha berry can't take care of. We just have to wait for it to take effect}

[Eren crouches next to his ill Pokémon, looking a bit concerned. Soon enough, Victor's color comes back to his skin and he looks less pained in general. He opens his eyes]

{.... Ah...}

[springcleaning]

{I never poisoned anyone by accident before! Except Gunsmoke, but Levi said he deserved it so I didn't think it was bad but I'm really sorry this time!}

[Bug will remain panicked until Victor starts to get better. He rolls up next to him carefully, feelers drooping.]

{I'm sorry....}

[stahlflugel]

{Ahh, don't worry about it, Bug!} [Eren says with a huff. Now that he knows Victor is ok, he stands up to head back to his work.] {I said it's fine. Just be careful, ok?} [And with that, he heads back to Blitz and his application.

Victor offers Bug a thumbs up] {I'm feeling much better. Don't even worry about it, mon ami!}
