[Action]

[It was a long hike back, and Rose spent the night in the medical center. Her wounds were such that they wanted to keep an eye on her. While Enlightened healing powers can do a lot, she is still on the mend. She looks it, too; she has a blue button-up shirt on, but the white bandages along her torso for her broken ribs are visible where the sleeves end and near her neckline.]

[Not to mention her left arm, which is in a sling, and black and blue bruises on her face. She looks like she's seen better days. But, she's out, and she has a mind to take a walk. Unfortunately... she doesn't really have the energy for it.]

[So about halfway through the walk, Rose is sitting down on a bench along one of Union's roads, trying to rest. Behind her, a Blaziken is fussing -- Efreet, who evolved on the way home.]

[Video, sometime later]

[Eventually, Rose does get back to the Tycoon estate. She's resting, then, but the room is visible behind her when she flips on the warp band. She smiles down at it; her face is a bit less puffy, now. Enlightened healing is a thing.]

Hey, everybody. So... that got intense, huh?

[ A hand reaches from behind Rose - scuse her, Efreet - to press a bottle of Fresh Water against her cheek. These were originally fetched for theater folk, but you look like you might need one. ] That successful, huh, Skitty?

[ Don't worry. It's just gallows humor. Haruka had a sucky week too. ]

[She's a little surprised to feel the bottle against her cheek -- ditto Efreet, though he just watches. Rose takes it, looking the bottle over it, then she smiles. She undoes the lid, before she looks over her shoulder at Haruka.]

I succeeded in breaking an arm and my ribs! I guess that's something. [Then, a sigh. It was a pretty rough week.]

Which target? [ Haruka manages to combine "coming around the side of the bench" and "sitting down on the bench" in the same effortlessly-cool moment. Actors, man.

She's also not asking what you'd intended to break. More like who you'd intended to break out. ]

[Rose is impressed. She knew, of course, that Haruka was an actor. She makes a note to learn to do exactly that. She looks up at Haruka and flashes her a smile, but her words are serious.]

We ran into their emperor.

[ Haruka has the sort of reaction to that a person has when they're trying not to react to something. Her lips part, then press together again. After a moment, she nods. ] I see.

[ Exhaling, she looks out across the street. ] They're only hurting themselves.

[ It's musing, really. How could that man have been so blind? So arrogant to corral the power of multiple Gods for his own use? No wonder the Elite Four have divine support.

Makes her even angrier they attacked Union, not Gigas. ]

I'm doing well! Although, I'm still feeling the excitement despite it having passed!

[Not to mention how she's surprised that she didn't get a heart attack after all of that!]

But what about you? Are you okay?

[ There's a rumble from behind the bench, the heavier footsteps of a large pokémon's approach that much more apparent. Then, slowly, a Haxorus stretches his neck, peering curiously at the human and her fire-type partner. The latter of whom gets a nod of acknowledgement, before he eyes Rose up and down.

What happened to your partner? ]

"Intense" is one way to put it, "horrible disaster" is another. [She shrugs, resting a hand on her Meowstic's head.] We're all okay, I guess.

Action at home because I do what I want

[Lenna has been fussing all over Rose ever since she came home. There's a light knock at her door after she's had a few hours to rest.]

...Rose?

Yeah. This is gonna get those other guys mad as hell. [The Elite Four, lest there be any doubt. She frowns, and then she looks down at the ground for a moment. Haruka looks pissed, too, she thinks. It isn't easy to see, sometimes.]

[Rose doesn't blame her. Not in the slightest.]

...I heard what their General said. The Gigans didn't know they have an emperor. He'd been... lurking down there.

But... they're gonna follow him, too.

I've been all right. I'm a little sore, still. [That's an understatement, if there ever was one.] I'm on the mend.

What were you doing, during it?

[Efreet turns. Despite the recent evolution, the Blaziken recognizes him. He nods once. Then, speaks, too: She was hurting fighting Gigas's emperor. He lacks righteousness and must be smote to the ground!]

[Rose, for her part, turns and blinks at the Haxorus. She doesn't recognize him yet.]

...Yeah. It's a disaster, all right. We had no idea that guy was down there.

Or anything like that.

YOU DO YOU, that's what I say

[Rose slept most of that time. She woke up a little ago; she looks up, now, at the knock on her door and tilts her head. She's wearing a sleeveless shirt -- which makes the bandages abundantly clear, and the bruising.]

[She still winces, and hisses, when she shifts.] Hey, I'm in here.

The path of least resistance.

[ Haruka exhales, slow but steady, as if she can dismiss the troubles in her mind as easily as she can empty her lungs. ] What will you do?

[ You were a traveling group originally, right? This doesn't have to be your fight. Haruka's voice is neutral - she won't blame Rose if the Spearowfeathers decide to seek different markets. ]

[ There's a growl in the throat of the Haxorus. He had not engaged directly in battle. But he had witnessed the Red Dragon depart to join it, and he had stood guard over the command center.

There will be time yet to repay debts owed. For now, it is time to recover. He then rumbles in (what is intended to be) a friendly manner at Rose, before he turns his head and calls loudly.

Mother-trainer will wish to see her. In case Efreet is wondering. ]

[Rose nods. Path of least resistance, especially given the Emperor's power. Anything that crosses him... that's not the path of least resistance.]

[But Haruka's got a good question. She looks off for a moment.]

...We're not going anywhere. I don't think it will be safe anywhere else, exactly, with something like that. Or with the Elite Four. Besides... dealing with these kind of problems is a side business, sorta.

[Efreet hesitates, before he nods. Later. We'll do it later. Rose needs to rest, for now. Rose looks at thew two Pokemon, confused for a second.]

[Then she blinks, but doesn't quite jump; she's a little too hurt for that. She is watching the Haxorus carefully.] Uh, you okay, buddy?

[I thought she may want to talk to her, Efreet says. Rose'll be glad.]

Feel free to bump us to the bottom of the list. [ Okay, her head's clear. Haruka cracks half a smile (if only half). The Union Divine Theater has been pleased with your work thus far, but restoring a Historic Monument can wait for after they're guaranteed future generations will be around to enjoy it. ]

We'll get to it later, all right?

[She smiles. They're on the same page there, too, it sounds like. There's a lot to do -- and if Gigas attacks, as she expects them to, there's a chance of more damage -- so it can wait. She looks up at Haruka.]

You think we need a plan? Gigas probably won't wait very long to hit us back.

[Lenna slowly approaches, sitting gently on the side of the bed so as not to disturb her.]

How are your injuries? Do you need anything?

They're on the mend. I'm sore, though... I think I overdid it today.

[She shifts, a little, to try to give Lenna more room -- even if that's a bit hard. It's mostly her legs under the sheets.] Maybe a glass of water in a bit. Or a beer. I could really go for a beer.

[ Haruka shrugs. Yes, she's hoping to have a plan - but it's also hard to plan for who-knows-what, so she figured she'd form said plan when they had an idea of what they'd be up against.

Besides, well, "gods". They should probably think of a plan to deal with gods so others in Union won't be put in undue danger. But that's for the Divine Defense Force to handle, not civilians (and she's pretty sure the solution is just "take out the Emperor" anyway). ] We'll see them coming.

...did the Emperor look...mobile?

[ It's not subtle but that can't be helped. At least it's relevant to the conversation. ]

...I think water would be a better idea.

[Beer will just dehydrate her, and that's the last thing she needs.]

Speaking of which, I do know some Water type healing spells. I don't think they'll fix things completely, but it might help with some of the pain.

That's a tough one. See... yes, he did, because there was an armor. It moved and could smack us around. [Obviously, given her bandages. But Haruka meant more than that.]

He approached us. The machine he was in is apparently tied to something in that place. I only caught part of it, but Rise saw more.

I don't know if he can bring it all the way out here. If he can, we've got a problem.
