That's way impressive, though! Like, that whole night sucked to the max and all, but at least we stood up to them, you know?

It was definitely not my favourite night, but you're right. We made our stand and defended our home, and our allies came to help us rebuild.

We're dealing, though, you know? Like, my grandparents' place is looking as good as new, almost!

My grandparents have fully healed from their injuries now. Father is...adjusting to being heir of the family.

[Having willingly taken on his role as his own family's heir in the aftermath of the same attack, he can more than empathize.]

I come by my love of research and science honestly. He'd rather be doing his Engineer work.

[That, and it's hard for her father, being a fourth born son and then suddenly finding himself the heir because of the attack. They have mourned their dead and begun to move forward, but it was still a major hit to the family.]

Of course, now he and Mother have become a little...smothering.

[Which is weird for Pamela, considering how distant her relationship has been with them for more than half of her life.]

Smothering, or just, like, around?

[His own parents have always been pretty close with him -- except, of course, for all the time that he spent out in the wilderness trying to track Fai down and not talking to people. So he's the tiniest bit critical of parents who are more distant with their own children, knowing how important his own roots are to him.]

Smothering. They don't want me traveling because "it's too dangerous". They want me to finish the antivenin with Ami so that I can get married and have lots of little Isleys.

[At least his family has just quietly given up in recognition of his sheer stubbornness and gayness.]

[And in understanding of the fact that if he was willing to give up society in its entirety to try and save Fai, he's not going to put up with any attempts to tear them apart for his familial duty's sake.]

More than ever. They were pushing about it before Father was heir.

I don't even mind the idea of children...I would actually like to have a lot of them. I mean, if the amount of Pokemon I have is any indication...

I mean, like, me and Fai might have kids besides the Pokemon ones someday. It's not like kids aren't great, just like...

It's just weird that they're all on you about making them, right now, you know?

[If there's one thing Pamela has complete faith in, it's that. Their kids will be eccentric, no doubt, but they will be loved.]

At least needing to perfect the antivenin is a good excuse to put it off.

[Which...is probably why she's deliberately let that project fall by the wayside a bit. Oops. But Ami has plenty going on in her life, so it's not as if she's holding Ami up with her procrastination.]

I mean, like, I'm obviously kinda the best at finding a husband, right? Not quite exactly yet, but...

You found someone who you love and who loves you. That automatically makes you more qualified than me.

[Their relationship is enviable, really. Not everyone gets to find that kind of happiness with a significant other.]

More seriously, I would trust your judgment more than theirs, and I wouldn't want to marry someone who couldn't get along with my friends anyway.

That does help. Although he could be boring to you and still interesting to me if he was quite interested in research and science in general.

I think if he was loud-boring, I'd be tempted to drug him on a semi-regular basis just to shut him up. So it's best if I get your help with such an important matter.
