[Being friends with Lenna has its advantages. Case in point: not only can she live with her, she has a roommate on road trips. Just after the mission, she is on the way back to where they were staying. She beat Lenna there -- she thinks, at least -- and is thus in their room. She better change quick.]

[After all, she has a secret to keep.]

[Case in point: the mask made of bone, resting in her opened bag for the world (or, at least, the room) to see. Rose has it off and her hood down, but she is still wearing the brown, snug-fitting, and thick clothing she wears for her missions as the Scattered Bones's boss.]

[She's pulling off her her dagger belt, sticking it in her belongings, when she might hear the door opening.]

Do you want to try them on? I've resisted the temptation until now because I thought we should try them together.

Heck yeah I do!

[She plops down on the bed. It might look ridiculous: wearing leathers for a fight, pulling off her boots and socks, and beaming down at her blue Vaporeon slippers.]

[Lenna smiles brightly, sitting down next to Rose and doing the same.]

Ahhh, they feel wonderful! Just like dipping my feet into the ocean!

[Giggling happily, she lifts her feet, wiggling her toes inside the sandals.]

[On go her sandals! And she wiggles her toes right away.] Right? This is just perfect!

Hot sand is never gonna burn our feet now. This is the perfect beach invention.

I can't wait to try them out for real.

[The earlier unpleasantness forgotten, Lenna is all smiles and giggles now, waving her feet happily in front of her and playfully knocking her sandals against the sides of Rose's.]

We're totally gonna do that! We should go to the beach soon!

Yes, we should plan a trip to the islands. The weather should be nice and warm soon.

[Lenna smiles down at their sandals, each in turn, before looking momentarily thoughtful.]

Though, you know, I'm thinking I may have let you off a little too easy earlier for keeping secrets from me.

[Her expression is ever so slightly mischievous rather than severe, though, so whatever she's about to say probably isn't that bad.]

I'm game! The islands are great. And that's a place I've never been too before!

[Those are pretty rare. Rose travels a lot.]

[But then she tilts her head to the side, a little surprised; she might be worried, but... she knows what Lenna said earlier. And she sees that mischievous look on her face.]

[..uh oh.] You think so, huh?

Uh huh. It's time for your punishment!

[Giggling, Lenna slides herself down off the bed, reaching out to quickly slip off one of Rose's sandals. Bracing her foot with one hand, she starts tickling at it with the other.]

Aaah--Lenna!

[Rose isn't expecting that. She yelps -- and then the tickling, and she's laughing, falling back and giggling on the bed.]

What?

[It's said in her best mock innocent voice, even as her fingers dance along the tips of Rose's toes before dipping down between them.]

Aah--hey, no fair!

[She's laughing her head off, tugging on her feet -- but she's not trying that hard to get away. It's pretty fun, really.]

Lennaaaa!

Okay, okay...

[Lenna's ticklish herself, of course, so she doesn't want to mess with Rose too badly since she knows what it's like. So after just a little more tickling, she finally relents.]

I think you've learned your lesson.

[She needs a second to stop laughing so hard.]

...y-yeah, no more secrets! Got it!

That's right.

[Lenna can't help but giggle too, tweaking Rose's big toe from side to side as she nods and then finally letting go.]

Hehe... that was fun.

[Rose laughs, though it's trailing off; she sits up, wiping at her eyes with her finger.]

Sure... sure was!

[She laughs, softly.] I'm glad I moved in with you. It's been a blast.

I am too. It's been so wonderful, having you here these past few months. I can't even imagine how lonely it would have been if you hadn't come along when you did. But ever since you moved in, every day has been so full of smiles and laughter.

[Lenna smiles, warmly and wistfully, scooting closer to Rose on the bed.]

[Rose scoots over closer to Lenna, too. There's only the briefest hesitation, before she puts her arm around Lenna's shoulders, and does a good one-armed hug.]

It has, hasn't it? It's hard to imagine sticking around Union alone--or, you know, with just the other Spearowfeathers.

[She looks sideways and smiles.]

I'm glad I told you, too. I didn't like keeping a secret like that from you.

The Savior has a way of sending people into each others' lives when they need them the most.

[Lenna says this with an utterly straight face. She's always been very faithful.]

And I'm glad too. I hope we can share everything with each other from now on.

[Maybe it's a little corny... but Rose appreciates the sentiment just the same. She smiles at Lenna, then she nods.]

Mm-hm! I'm glad for that, too. Keeping secrets is pretty exhausting!
