[The feed cuts on a few days after everyone's homecoming from Gigas. The warp band isn't focused at first and looks a little low to the ground. It's obvious that it's being handled by a pokemon after a few minutes. If not by the weird shakey picture then by the very pleased "Bulbasaur- saur!" that follows once it's raised to a reasonable height to capture the scene.]

[Cyan and Ranka are over by one of the big fountains downtown. Cyan is sitting on the edge, plucking at her guitar. She pauses and-]

What if I tried something like this?

[She plays a bouncy set of notes and then looks up for Ranka's imput.]



[There's a quiet "Azu" as well - a bit mischievous, a bit warning not to make too much noise. For her part, Ranka's a bit distracted, and after those notes she follows up by humming the same melody, and then hums a very rough harmony, and nods.]

Yeah! That's a really good start, it's got, um, pep!

[Ranka giggles a little at her own word choice.]

[Cyan giggles in turn and nods. She strums her guitar a few times, seeming pleased with that. She looks up.]

I'm glad! Okay, then... do you want to try and put everything together?

[The bulbasaur holding the warp band makes a quiet, excited sound. Something that could be understood in pokemon as at last! maybe the warp band will get a performance.]

I think we've got a good base to start from! Let's give it a shot!

[Ranka's excitement is starting to bubble over, and she's practically hopping back and forth from foot to foot, and an Azumarill grins. If THIS doesn't get Ranka's career started then he doesn't know what will!

No seriously he knows nothing about promoting musicians properly, but he sure means well.]

[Luckily, they go unnoticed for now. Cyan is practically glowing with excitement. Getting to preform with someone else was really exciting and her tail swishes back and forth as she settles herself, nods a few times to get the rhythm started in her head and starts to play.]

[The instrumentals start, and Ranka taps her feet, finding the rhythm. Her lyrics are going to be a total placeholder, and she starts to work on her end of the melody with just a lot of 'lalala'. Very musical, clear, and quite beautiful words without words, but just as she's about to start on some actual lyrics her eyes visibly flit towards the camera and she freezes.]

I-i-is that on!?

[Bobby the Azumarill leaps away with a squeak that translates pretty closely to 'busted!']

[Bass the Bulbasaur follows suit, dropping the warp band as Cyan lets out a very distressed KYAAAAAA TURN THAT OFF! The feed shuts off.]

[OOC: Cyan is blue and Ranka is in green! Replies will be from both!]

[ Well, this is a mood changer from most of Haruka's life at present. So much so that she can't help but laugh and address it. ] What a shame. You were just getting to the good part.

[After some scuffling and chasing down her pokemon, Cyan is back on the warp band with a disheveled but sheepish expression.]

A-Ah.... everyone must have seen that, huh?

[ Happens to everybody, don't worry. Haruka might not even know all of the things her Pokémon have broadcast. She grins at Cyan. ] You found a bandmate.

[ Congratulations. ]

Not exactly! We're not a band or anything but Ranka is a friend and we are preforming together.

[A smile!]

We wanted to see how well we sound together.

Th-there barely is a good part yet! We only just s-started!

[ Haruka has met Cyan before, and heard her guitar. She's found a vocalist now? Adorable. ]

[If there's anybody present who knows even less about promoting music than an Azumarill, it's probably Ryuko. She's not even sure how she ended up a test audience for this duet's debut but here she is anyway, sitting cross-legged in front of a fountain with Skullface in her lap and listening.

... Well, Ryuko doesn't know a lot about music but she does know what she hates. And she's not hating this. It's actually pretty good and she's just starting to get into it when pandemonium breaks loose, both girls screech at the Bulbasaur and Ryuko is left blinking in confusion.

At least Skullface liked the show, judging by the Cubone's happy applause.]

Hey, what'd you stop for? I thought you two were doin' pretty good.

[She's managed to get her hands on the warp band to confirm, yes, it had been recording. She feels a little sick to her stomach and oh great. Preforming in front of a few people was one thing but...]

T-The whole network saw that...

[Surely you see the problem, Ryuko.]

[ Ranka's managed to corner her Azurill enough to huff at it - and just showing her disappointment is the best she can muster. ]

...it wasn't even CLOSE to ready yet.

I-I haven't preformed in front of a lot of people before...s-so.... I just wanted it to be really good when I finally tried!

[Wait, he did compliment them though, she turns pink.]

[ Settled on one of the trees opposite the fountain, one branch is decked out with four flying types: a bright eyed Fletchinder, a rather large Rufflet, a Starly and (notable for his sullen stare and silence) a Murkrow.

The moment the music ends and the girls react in fluster, there's a multi-bird chorus of objections.
Hey, don't stop!
Yeah! That was really good!
Indeed, dear ladies! A fine aria! Wasn't it good, Hogun!
"..."

Understood, or not, evidently your audience wants an encore, girls! ]

[Luckily Cyan is a psychic type so she definitely understood their intentions at least. She bristles like a startled cat and turns red.]

[Cyan's pokemon, a Mareep and a Bulbasaur, all call to agree.]

U-Um, thank you!

[ Fortunately none of these bird pokémon seem concerned by Cyan's kitten features, Hogun maintaining his position and dead-eyed stare as the other three descend to lower branches, making excited earnest noises.

The Starly even makes something of a bow to both girls, a dashing show of feathers. Please do play on, my dears, practice can only improve on perfection, after all!

Firesong the Fletchinder, lover of music, then descends down to their level, gliding to land on the lip of the fountain - enough away not to be splashed, of course. He'll even join you! He loves to sing, even if his voice isn't quite so tiny as it was as a Fletchling. ]

[For a number of reasons Sonia hasn't been keeping up with ongoing events, but if there's anything that can grab the idol's attention in an instant, it is of course music. A smile spreads across her face as she listens to the inadvertent performance, and while she's momentarily taken aback by the feed's abrupt end, she's sufficiently impressed that she can't help but offer a few words of encouragement.]
