Episode 1: A Trainer's Grand Debut!
[Video post, backdated to afternoon or so]
[There's a young man on the network, maybe seventeen or so, handsome and pale as only a sheltered rich kid could be. He's smiling in a friendly and charming manner.]
Good day, everyone. For those who might not know me, my name is Kyouya Ootori. I'm a little [completely] new to being a Trainer, and so I thought I might ask if anyone had advice for someone on their way out to the forest for the first time.
[Social networking is important no matter where you are, after all, and Kyouya wants to get a feel for how this part of society handles itself. Being a polite newcomer should be a good way of accomplishing that, particularly since he's not even lying.
A canine nose suddenly interrupts the video feed, which is abruptly moved.] Hotta, no. Down. ...Here, have a look. [It's returned to its position, but now there's a Houndour next to Kyouya, regarding the video feed curiously.] It's for communication. [Really, he isn't sure how much a Houndour will understand, but talking to things that can't understand you is a charming and harmless quirk, so he doesn't have any problem displaying it.]

[She waves at the Houndour.]
Hello there.

[She thinks about it for a moment.]
Well, I've always traveled with someone else, and that's helped me get out of trouble most of the time. It also makes things a lot more fun.

I can certainly see how strength in numbers would come in handy. [Kyouya, being Kyouya, doesn't really take 'fun' into consideration unless prompted.]

[Well, Sora isn't about to deny assistance to someone who is new at training]
Well, I guess the most important thing is to watch out and be careful not to get near groups of Pokemon. Like Pidgeys are no sweat on their own, but get them in a flock.... [And it's pandemonium]

Well it depends on the type of Pokemon, but if the ground looks much more disturbed than usual with tracks or digging, or if you spot a nest or two- you should probably be extra cautious. The number of droppings can be a good indication too if it's a place a lot of them spend time.
Oh, and never go into the tall grass without your Pokemon by your side. [NEVER]
Video
[Hearing his name, the Houndour's ears twitch, and he huffs slightly.]

[She thinks for a moment, going over what she was told and what they didn't say.]
I guess... trust your instincts, and trust your Pokemon. If you have a bad feeling about something, don't approach it.
Weapons and supplies can be replaced, but people can't. So please-- stay safe.

Anyway, if you get hurt, don't hesitate to let me know. It's the least I can do for a fellow newbie.
