[For a moment or two, Fuuka didn't know what to say back. While people might hear the sound of her Espurr and Aerodactyl encouraging her, there was only dead silence on her end. As each second passed, she was starting to have second thought about asking people about this...problem.

But then again, it wasn't like she had much of a choice right? Despite that, there was only silence on her end.

...However, it also didn't take her that long either before she finally spoke up]

Um...excuse me, I hope it's not too much trouble. But is it possible for me to stay with someone for a little while? At least until I manage to find a place of my own.

I promise that I won't be much trouble and while I might not have a lot of money to pay you, I am an engineer! If there's anything you need, just feel free to ask!

[...] But um...if there's a place I can stay. Just...let me know?

[Hear that? That is the sound of Fuuka having no idea what to say back to Rise! However...]

I got into an argument with my parents. That's all.

...But I think by doing that? I just made things a lot worse.

Heh. That was the one good thing about my family. Any time any of us got into an argument, Grandma ended it.

[No one argues with Grandma.]

But arguing has to happen sometimes, I think. Even if it hurts to do, sometimes that's the only way to get your feelings across.

[With that, she gave a small sigh]

I suppose. Although, I did wish it ended a little differently and where my parents didn't have to act the way they did.

[Pause]

But in the end, it's either I go do whatever they want me to do or else I'll face the consequences. Of course, it turns out I'm not the perfect daughter they wanted.

That happens a lot, huh?

[She sighs herself.]

Did I ever tell you the story of why I became a radio star?

No, I don't think so.

[Pause] But mind if I ask what happened?

I can't cook.

[She shrugs, even though Fuuka can't see it.]

A hundred years, my family's been making and serving tofu and soybeans and all that other stuff we relied on before we met all those poor Pokémon herds living out on the plains, and every time I tried to make anything with it, it was...kind of a disaster. So much that no one wanted to train me, and I had to figure out something else to do with my life. I loved singing as a hobby, and when an opportunity with A.C.E. came up, my family kinda just...threw me at it to get me out of the kitchen.

I guess it's kinda the opposite of what you've got going on. I was so bad at what my family wanted me to do they just gave me something else. Still kinda hurt at the time, though.

[And here, as Fuuka listened, she couldn't deny as if it wasn't new information. Especially with now Yukiko already told her that.

But at the same time though, she couldn't help but smile at the other girl]

You're right, it does. And it doesn't change that no matter what we did, they didn't seem very happy in the end. My parents always wanted me to be a doctor but when they found out I was into engineering? They didn't seem very happy with that.

And now that I wanted to become a pokemon trainer? That just made them even more mad. But after what happened, nobody is happy about this.

Yeah. The thing about arguments though, is people get over them after a while. If you were doing something that makes you unhappy for the rest of your life...

I think you made the right decision. And they're your family. Eventually, they'll learn to deal with it.

I guess so. They'll have to deal with knowing that I'm not perfect!

[And for the first time in a while? You managed to make Fuuka chuckle, Rise!]

And besides, who would want a perfect daughter anyway? It would make things boring right? And especially when I'm not a robot, I don't need to follow them...

"Perfect"'s got nothing to do with how well you let other people tell you what to do, Fuuka. Trust me on that.

Yeah, that's something Yukiko and a lot of my friends tell me all the time!

But I know it must be kind of hard on you too, right?

Well...in a way, I guess I quit singing on the radio because I didn't think I could keep living up to the station's expectations. Not to mention my fans'.

Doing my own thing with the Theater and Pokémon has really helped, though. I mean, sometimes Haruka gets really bossy, but that's one person, you know?

Well the important thing is that you're having fun in the Theater right? And that even with Haruka being bossy, she just wants to make sure you're having fun too!

Or at least, that's how I see it anyway!

That's about it, yeah. It's probably the best decision I've ever made next to becoming a trainer in the first place.

Then do you think I'll be able to see you on stage one day? Although, I'm not sure if might be able to have time right now but I would love to see you one day!

It would be rude if I didn't!

O-Oh, are you sure? Wouldn't Haruka have a problem with that?

[She shrugs.]

We do get a couple free ones per show, you know, and I only really need one. And that's if Asemu's actually in town.

Mind if I ask who might that be? [HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM]

Asemu Asuno! He's a noble and a Ranger. We've been dating for over a year now.

We're uh...taking it slower on the moving in front than other couples, though.

[AH-HA, SO SHE WAS RIGHT!]

Oh goodness! Then I was right to guess he was your boyfriend!

But I didn't know you had one! Maybe I should meet him one day!

Haha. It's funny I didn't have a boyfriend until after my personal life stopped being everyone's business...well no, it's smart, really.

He's the son of a really important family here, so he's pretty busy, but hopefully someday we can all hang out.

Oh goodness, then I don't want to bother him! Especially if he's from an important family!

I definitely don't want to take him away from his work!

Hehe. Don't worry - I do want to take him away from his work sometimes.
