[The feed is quiet for a moment while she finishes adjusting the camera. Still, the video has been carefully framed, like someone's spent a lot of time thinking about it. There's a faint noise from behind the camera of a Pokemon giving some encouragement.]

Right, okay. Hey, everybody. I just got this band recently, so I thought I should say hello. [She rubs her arm briefly and glances away as if trying to remember something.] I've been out of Union for a while. Has much changed?

[It's pretty early in the morning, so maybe there won't be many people out at this time. This way maybe Max can get a few photos of what decorations are still up before there's too much hustle and bustle.

But while Max is preoccupied with that whole taking photos thing, her Deerling has other ideas. Ever the social butterfly, she's started roaming a bit. Hey! You there! She's totally trotting right over to you, whoever you are.]

Dee! Dee deeer. [Isn't her fur just gorgeous? It's about time she got some more admirers.]

[Now that she has to think about it, it's kind of hard to describe.]

I don't know, it just seems... different? [She frowns slightly. C'mon, words.] There seem to be a lot of new people. There's a lot of outfits and goods that I don't remember - have there been a lot of new arrivals?

[She gives a small smile back.]

Well, we did recently have a lot of new people come in. Some refugees from different places, and we've had contact with some other settlements that we didn't know were out there before.

Maybe that's what's different?

[He nodded, making a note of the name.]

That would explain it. [She gives a soft chuckle.] I guess that's what I get for leaving for a year, huh?

Anyway... How far away are these places?

A year? Wow. What were you doing that you were away that long?

[He shrugged.] Depends. By flying type, it's not terribly far, but some of 'em are a couple of days travel by foot.

Nothing much, really. Spending some time away? My family thought it'd be good to get a change of scenery.

[Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. Things sure are different now, one way or another.] Still, that sounds pretty far. I'm guessing a lot of them have Warp Bands over there?

That can be good sometimes. [He nodded.] I get the occasional bout of wanderlust.

Some of the places. I'm not exactly sure how far it goes now, but we just recently managed to get the range all the way out to Sanctuary.

[That's... way farther than she would have ever imagined, though. How strange. Everything seems so strange now.

Here voice is a little airy as she muses on this.] Things really have changed.
