[For Raine, since the return from the unexpected journey to Glacier, it has been a few weeks spent studying, catching up, learning some of the quicker ways to get around Union and... settling in. Something which had been easy enough for her and her brother; less so when it came to her Pokemon bondmates.

In particular, her Oddish had become somewhat difficult to handle since her return, not adjusting to the changes all that well and the fact that Raine had been away for a while. It had developed a tendency of shaking some form of sleep powder or stun spores at any humans who got too close before retreating somewhere to hide.

While she was used to dealing with it, it would be unfortunate if someone else had unknowingly agitated the Pokemon while it was having one of its fits, though she doesn't feel comfortable broadcasting the situation. Still, she's looking a little harried, after the Pokemon scampers off after being re-summoned, yet again, and she's finally forced to consult the network-

... and yes, that is a Pikachu fussing with her hair in the frame.]

My apologies for bothering you with something like this, but if anyone has happened to notice an Oddish that is behaving -- well, oddly -- can you let me know where you've noticed it and keep your distance from it? We were in the business district, so she probably hasn't gotten very far. Thank you.

[Short and to the point. As it is, she'll get back to searching, herself, even though the Pikachu accompanying her also seems a little fussy, since here they are in the business district but no actual shopping seems to be taking place. Priorities...]

Hmm...

[The Pikachu makes an appalled noise and expression at the suggestion. There's a sound of something rustling from within the can.]

It honestly wouldn't surprise me. I'll check -- Limone, stop shaking your head and stay back. You too, Cass.

[Yukiko waits patiently, on standby in case she's needed.

Cassandra takes a few paces back, waiting to see if she's further required.]

[Raine pulls on a pair gloves before approaching the rustling can.]

Kerri, is that you in there?

[Either the oddish or a potential pokemon victim, but that was worst case scenario really.

At least there's a muffled Odd! sound that serves as some confirmation.]

Come on up, now. We're going to straight back to the room, all right?

[The exchange will continue much in that fashion for a few minutes, before the Pokemon finally emerges... and catches sight of the small group.]

Odd!

[The bin gets knocked over, luckily everything in there was in bags, as the small Pokemon practically squeaks and attempts to rush off after shaking a cloud of stun spore at everyone in the vicinity.]

[Well this joyous little reunion isn't exactly something Yukiko'd expected. The stun spore hits her and Cassandra, and the Absol seizes up but thanks to her typing? Yukiko is rendered immune.

Stepping forward after the living plant, she holds out her fingers and a small knot of vines zips out and catches up the Pokemon in gentle but firm fashion.]

What's gotten into you, little one? That's not very nice.

Careful --

[Well. Raine has to move out of the way of the toppled bin, though when she notices the state Cass is in, she hurries forward to cast refresh on the seized Absol.]

There, you should be all right now... careful.

[The Oddish, meanwhile, is alarmed when it realizes that it's being held fast, as it squirms against the vines, wriggling it's little feet in protest.]

They were just helping me find you. They mean no harm.

[The little plant is not convinced, demonstrating that by continuing to struggle.]

I'm not going to hurt you, little one. But I'm not going to let you go running off into the city alone. It's not a good idea. And your friend is worried about you.

[The vines don't let up, instead drawing back the Oddish and depositing it into Raine's blanket.]

[Raine takes a few steps forward, though stops moving once the Oddish is drawn to the blanket instead.

The Pokemon still unhappily squirms in the vines, though it also snuggles closer to the blanket, trying to hide in it. Which isn't exactly easy to do when trying to get the vines off.]

There, aren't you happy to see your blanket? You can't keep running all over town like this, Kerri. I'm sure the nice lady has places she'd like to go.

[What a stubborn little plant.]

[Once the blanket is wrapped around the Oddish, Yukiko's vines retreat, vanishing into her sleeves.]

No, it's alright. Trainers have to help one another sometimes. But...uh...what got her so riled up?

[Once the vines retreat, the Oddish curls up as best it can in the blanket.

And... strangers asking questions. Of course that was to be expected, with this situation. Raine frowns a little, but it can't really be helped.]

Thank you. She's likely just feeling overstimulated right now... there's been a lot of change these last few weeks.

Oh. Well...yes, there certainly has.

[Yukiko bends down and rubs Cassandra's horn, then starts scritching her face too.]

It's been crazy for everyone. But it's all taken care of now. She'll be alright. I didn't feel any injuries when I had her. [A pause.]

What's your name, Miss?

She'll be fine once we get back to the room.

[She shrugs a little. Of course it had been crazy for everyone, and it was hardly as if she was being specific about what changes.]

... It's Raine Sage. And yourself?

[Well. Yes.]

Yukiko Amagi. A pleasure, Miss Sage.

[So formal...]

Miss Amagi then? And yes, though I'm sorry for the circumstances.

Just Yukiko is fine. And don't worry about it. Trainers stick together, you know.

[Calling up that Rapidash again...]

Just call me again, if you need help. Though, if she runs off a lot? Maybe try and head to the Scorched Forest and bond a Growlithe or Houdour? They're as good as Cass is when it comes to noses.

Then please, call me Raine.

And I'll... keep that in mind. Although I was wondering where you had met Cass, actually.

Oh! I met her in Refuge. It's a bit further than a day-trip, but Absol live in the tunnels down there. I'm thinking of going back down there with a friend after Soulfasting, if you'd like to come along.

Hmm... that's to the south, isn't it? I'll have to keep it in mind and see how she's adjusting.

Correct. Through the Wildwoods, which...I don't recommend going through alone. The ghosts there are rather hostile.

[Aw, and look at that. The silly Oddish has either fallen asleep or is pretending to sleep. More points on the latter. The Pikachu just looks grumpy at the fact that they're hanging out in the alley.]
