So, yeah... Now that we're all back.

[Duo was looking a bit better after getting knocked out in Glacier and spending most of the celebration there healing up. He held up his gift from the locals, a Blastoisinite.]

I've learned that most special stones like these usually do something with Pokémon, and clearly this is a Blastoise something. Has anyone figured out what the ones we ended up getting actually do, yet? Like... does it evolve them like Sun Stones or something? Seems to make the most sense, yeah?

[A Gardevoir wanders over and peers at the Warp Band's camera with a curious little noise, interested in whatever her trainer is so excited about. He taps the Gardevoirite held around her neck on a necklace.]

We've been practicing with this for a while now, so we're pretty good at using it!

Huh... so... I'd hafta get my hands on a Blastoise then to see what this one does.

But, you still have it. So it's not like a Sun Stone or something like that at all, then.

Right, it's not just a one-time deal! It's for Pokemon that are already fully evolved, to kind of give them a little extra pow! for a while.

Ready to show him?

[Feeding off of his enthusiasm, the Gardevoir gives a perky little nod. Feliks smiles at her brightly.]

Okay! Mega Evolution!

[A strange light flows around them and between them, brightening until it fills the Warp Band's screen entirely. When it fades, Feliks is standing next to a Mega Gardevoir, grinning excitedly.]

Woah! That's AWESOME!

[Duo was definitely impressed.]

Damn... So... is yours called Gardevoirite or something like that?

[Feliks beams so hard he starts sparkling.]

I know, right? Like, she was really strong before, but she's even tougher like this!

And yeah, you got it! It's the only one I have for now, but I'm hoping I can find one for some of the others I travel with.

I wonder how many there are. I mean, to have a temporary evolution that you can do multiple times. That's really awesome. How long does it last?

Until she decides to rest, maybe? Like, definitely long enough to get to the end of any battle I've ever been in, but it can come and go pretty quick if we aren't actually about to use it for anything.

Well, I've been spendin' a lotta time around Scorched Forest lately, but I might have to stop by the Lake Shrine and see if I can't find a Squirtle. I wanna see what a Blastoise looks like with this thing on it.

[He grinned.] Thanks for showing me that!

Ohmygods, do it. I totally wanna see how cool a Mega Blastoise would look!

...Just like, not up too close. Water types are kinda a problem for me.

[He calls a little flame to his hand by way of explanation for that one. Even now that he's far stronger than anything near the walls of Union, he still sort of avoids the Lake a bit.]

Anyway, yeah, no problem!

[Duo laughed a little.]

No problem. It's going to be interesting to see how it interacts with my other fire types. [Two firey dogs already, and working on a fire lizard, sooooo... should be fun.]

But I think I can handle it. Dark/Ghost, myself.

This'll be my first year celebrating for real. I've never participated before.

Kinda... I mean, I ended up here at some point, but I don't remember how. And I don't know what happened to my parents. So, I'm not sure where I'm from.

But, it's kind of a long story otherwise.

Sounds way complicated. So you don't remember before coming here, or what?

Not really? It's kinda fuzzy. I was pretty young. I spent a lotta time on my own.

[He shrugged.]

Either way, I'm here now, and I plan on enjoying it.

That's what I figured. [He laughed.] Better to enjoy it than sit around doing nothing, right?
