Event - The White Dragon

[The Warp Band feed opens with the Matriarch’s impassive face looking slightly haggard]

Union, I have a problem and am in need of assistance. About two hours ago refugees just started streaming into the Citadel territory. They say they’re from a city called “Glacier” that is being ripped apart by a giant white Dragon god. Sounds like it’s something up your alley. I’m sending them your way, we should probably go take care of that before it makes it over here. If you guys want to help out, I’ll lend you some of our birds. My Valkyries are already heading over, I’m sending a few flights out to the other cities as well to see if they want to join the party. Let me know what you decide.

Oh, the refugee leader is a fellow named Birgir. I gave him a Warp Band so he can probably tell you more about the situation.

[As Fuuka looked at the pile of yarn, she just blinked at Haruka once more]

Preventative measures? Um...what is that suppose to mean? It looks like you might be knitting a lot though…

[ Haha. Her. Knitting. Uh-huh. The laugh dwindles to a chuckle, but the smile's still there. ] How's the cooking coming?

[You see that, Haruka? That is the look of someone who has been caught like a deer with headlights on!]

I...I...um...w-well, I think that I'm getting better! I took the advice from a friend and just followed the recipe for now...?

[...In other words, she hasn't done anything yet with it]

[ Haruka has seen that look on some Deerling, yes. Fuuka makes it somehow even more adorable. ] Take your own pace and you'll be fine. Nobody's rushing you.

W-Well....I know but I want to quickly find a way to cook for them so I can say I'm sorry. But a lot has happened lately so I just couldn't find the time!

[If Haruka looked carefully? She could see a hint of red written all across her face as she gave a nervous chuckle] Hopefully, I'll be able to find the time soon! And when I can make you something too!

[ Cute. All the more reason to get these errant gods to stop torching random new civilizations, too. It's cutting into Fuuka's culinary practice.

This smile is just for Fuuka. ] I'll be waiting.

[But as Fuuka gave a nervous chuckle to herself, she decided to quickly change the subject!]

B-But anyway, how have you been? It's been a while since I last talked to you! Not to mention I still need to work on the gift I need to give you too!

[ Haruka shrugs. ] Can't complain.

[ Not when she's supposed to be just a musical theater actor, not a god-hunting defender against the apocalypse. She nods to the street in front of them, indicating she intends to keep walking. ] Are you free?

Ah, yes I am! I don't have a lot that I have to do outside of buying a few supplies!

[Although, she does have to wonder. Exactly how much should she buy with this sudden revelation before her...]

Is there somewhere you want to go?

[ Glacier, actually! But rather than state that outright, Haruka just keeps walking. ] If you don't mind accompanying me.

I don't mind but...would it be all right to ask exactly where we might be going?

Or is that a surprise?

[ Persistent kid. Haruka would rather keep throwing chaff, though. Secret organization gotta secret. ]

Maybe the journey's the destination.

I suppose...

[And should Haruka look carefully, she'll see Fuuka giving a slight disappointed look.]

Although, it does seem like you're not telling where you are going.

[ Wink~!

And walking. ] It's just a supply run. Your errands are probably more interesting.

[Yeah, Fuuka doesn't know how to take that. But either way, she continued to follow Haruka before looking down at the list of things she had to do]

You say that but I really don't! It's mostly just stocking on some items for my parents! Just to see if there's anything else they might need like some vegetables or something! It’s quite boring really!

Then, want to speed them up?

[ She's totally been wheeling this Rotomcycle ~~that the mun didn't forget she had with her~~ this whole time, and takes this opportunity to pat the seat. ] I'll be gentle.

[ Test-drove the very first Rotomcycle and everything! It's almost as fun as riding a Rhyhorn! ]

[As Fuuka just stared at the Rotomcycle, she just looked back at Haruka and then back at the bike]

I...I suppose so but it seems like it would be really fast! And...I never really rode on one before either! It looks...

[...Exciting...???]

[ Haruka grins. ] Only one way to learn.

[ She swings a leg on the Rotomcycle herself, securing the fruits of her shopping trip to the back of the device with some rope. But she won't force Fuuka to ride if the other girl doesn't want to. Not everybody shares her hobbies. ]

[For a few moments, Fuuka looked back at her Espurr before looking back at the Rotomcycle. At first, the girl didn't say anything but it seemed like her Pokemon made the choice.

As her Espurr looked carefully, she eventually went toward it before placing her hand on the seat saying as if she wants to go on]

Well...if she wants to go on, I don't see why not! But please don't drive too fast though, I don't know if I can handle it!

What's that supposed to mean? [ Haruka feigns being offended - she's a very safe driver!! - but Espurr gets an approving glance. She does enjoy intrepid kittens.

Here's an extra helmet. ] Hold on tight.

Exactly what it's suppose to mean! [Okay, that was pretty mean of Fuuka but she simply gave Haruka a smirk. Just to let her know that she was joking.

But once Fuuka got on her helmet on, both her and her Espurr were starting to have second thoughts. However, it was too late now! With a gulp, she nervously looked back at her friend]

Uh...o-okay, I'm ready whenever you are...?

[ Oh, this is adorable. Haruka adjusts her own helmet and grips her handlebars. ] Broken Möbius.

[ Nope, that's not some arcane Sanctuary spell, it's the name of the Rotom inside this -cycle! Fuuka may hear what seems like a chittering laughter from deep within the machine, and then they're taking off -

- much faster than Haruka had wanted. She clamps on the brakes and urges her Rotom to behave, but it likes being a bike just as much as Haruka likes owning a bike.

Sorry not sorry for the wheelie they just popped. ]

[Yup, Fuuka and her Espurr were definitely regretting it now! The moment that she heard what Haruka said, she was not liking this one bit.

Her suspicions were confirmed as her worst nightmare came true!

Now that they were going off a lot faster than she thought? Both her and her Pokemon held on even tighter before she gave a loud "WHOOOAAA...!!"]

H-Haruka, what are you doing? This is a lot faster than I wanted it to be...!

Shoot--!!

[ Jeez. A Rotom spends most of its life thinking it's a Pidgey and it gets ideas about speed. Haruka gets the bike going at a sane clip, then slows it down even more as punishment for the unruly Pokémon. It can run itself ragged when she doesn't have passengers.

Whew. ] My bad. Everybody still in one piece back there?

[ If she jokes about it, maybe it won't seem like it was that bad? ]

[Should Haruka look back, she could see that Fuuka's hair was a mess and her Espurr was still holding onto her trainer for dear life! While she had her eyes open and shaking, she had to admit.

It was a lot of fun!]

I...I think so? Goodness, I never been on something quite like that before! I just didn't think it would go so fast!
