[ The video is choppy, and a bit grainier than usual. Judging from the scene behind her, Lux is quite a distance away from Union. A campfire roars behind her, a few tents speckling the background. The blond looks surprisingly chipper despite having traveled so far. Sitting with her back braced against her pack, she smiles at the camera. ]
Good evening, everyone. I know that a few people know already, but I won't be back home for a while. I'll be doing a bit of work for the Seekers in Sanctuary, helping to establish relations there and, if things go well, hopefully a chapter within the city. I believe that there is a lot that we can learn from them.
[ There is a brief pause as she stands, grabbing her pack and heading toward one of the tents. ]
We're close to the edge of the Warp Band's reach, so we've been thankful enough to travel with a supply caravan moving into the city. Otherwise, this might be a much harder trip than it has been. I hope to be back in signal range within a few weeks, but this job may keep me a bit longer, depending on how negotiations go. I will do my best to write letters, at the very least.
[ Finally making her way into her tent, she lets a small ball of light float toward the ceiling, depositing her pack in a corner. ]
Of course, I have other objectives as well. I'm traveling with a few others, to do some investigative work on the homunculi rehabilitation project, and whether Sanctuary is being completely honest with their plans and intentions. It is also my hope to, quite frankly, learn more. The knowledge we have is very limited, and if we are to help people cope, then we need any an all information that we can find. I doubt that it will be easy, but I've always liked a good challenge.
So, hopefully all will go well. I don't anticipate they will, but I will keep in touch as best as I can. Be well, Union, I'll see you again soon.
( ACTION. )
[ Throughout the trip to Sanctuary, Lux can be found buzzing about, busy as a combee. She is reading through notes, directing the few assistants from the Seekers she happened to take along with her, conducting interviews with various traders who have been within the city walls--doing everything that she can to prepare. And yet, she still seems a bit on edge when left on her own.
And when engaged by others? She is on 200%. Lux is smiling, more vivacious than usual, despite looking a bit worn down. There are times where she nearly drifts off on the back of her Rapidash, and she can be found reading by lantern light outside of her tent, a tin mug of coffee by her side. ]

Whoa!~ That sounds important! Hope you have safe travels and good luck!

Thank you. Hopefully I won't be away from Union for too long. I don't want to miss the trees verdant forest change colors.

Waver asked himself that question for the umpteenth time since they began their journey as he flopped unceremoniously into the dirt that afternoon, too tired to care about the heat, the dirt, and the fiendish bugs that lurked around every corner. His feet ached from the long trek, and muscles that he didn't even know existed twinged with every movement.
Atlas and Orpheus, the Seismitoad and Foongus that were his oldest companions, had known to expect this; Helen, the demure Vulpix, did not. As such, she remained close to his side in worry while the other two pokemon attempted to prod their Mageling to get started with setting up the tent.]
--Okay, fine, [he grumbled, and gingerly dragged himself back to his feet to start trying to make sense of the mess of poles and canvas that was supposed to be a tent.
However, between Helen clinging to his feet and his own inherent clumsiness that leads to a tangle of poles and an inevitable bout of swearing, it's apparent that he might need some help...
Perhaps a veteran traveller could be of assistance?]

I haven't exactly been camping before, [he grumbled.] But it's simple, right? The sticks go up, and the fabric goes over it.

...Do you have a better idea? [He asked in a strained voice, as if the very fact that he hadn't burst out into tears so far on this trek had been an arduous task itself.]

Hallo. Not bothering you, am I?

Feeling his presence next to her briefly before he spoke, she placed a bit of ribbon in her book before stretching a bit and giving the man a gentle smile. ]
Hmm? No, not at all. I'm surprised to see anyone else still awake. Can't sleep?

I'm sure you'll do well.

I hope so, at least. I'm not sure what to expect once I get to the city.
video.
You can expect a city that wants to hold on to its tradition, much like Caldera and Union do. That much I can tell you, we've been allied with them for some time.

Hmm? Oh. Volunteers, mostly. A few people related to the city. It's good to have people who know where to look and who to look for once we're in Sanctuary.
Why? Is something the matter?
Re: Action
Not the kind of folks I'm used to working with I guess.
[Wow he was even polite about that statement, stop the press]

I hope your travels are safe, Lux-san.

I'll be all right, don't worry. This isn't the first time I've been on an extended stay from Union, after all, and certainly not the first place I've thrown myself into the unknown.
When do you plan to be in the city, if you don't mind my asking? I'm not rushing you of course, but I want to make sure that all of the proper arrangements are in place.

[Her expression does lighten just a bit, but there's still the worry that Eiji is out there working with the Seekers too. It's...troubling, but there are worse things, she supposes. And they'd all been to Sanctuary before under much more dire circumstances.]
As for that, I'm not sure. I have to remain here until after my girlfriend's birthday on the 10th. I won't miss Ami's special day. After that, Olympus should be able to get me there within a few days. He won't let me go alone, and a Charizard is fast enough to cover ground swiftly.

not to mention the trouble he's having just keeping his eyes open. his evolution took a lot out of him, and he's still recovering; if he could, he feels like he'd sleep for a week. everything aches, skin crawling and bones grinding together, a tense kind of hurt shot through him like growing pains - which might be an accurate way of putting it, given how uncomfortable he is, how he doesn't seem to fit within his own body anymore. any time they stop to rest, Jack is unconscious almost immediately whether he's in a tent or not, frost spreading over his body and across the ground around him.
he isn't much enjoying any attempts made to eat, either; although he eventually accepts his problem with heavy, sullen resignation, the first few times he picks up a drink or tries to eat something and finds it ice cold, he makes a sound of frustration and throws it away. ]

She kept tabs on him when she could, a bit worried about his health and well-being. But... she couldn't say anything. It wasn't her place, and that pained her, wanting to be there for a friend, yet not quite knowing how. ]
Jack.
[ Hands held behind her back, she smiled at him as she always did, a bit of fatigue also apparent on her face and voice. Traveling seemed to be taking its toll on her as well. ]
action; sorry for the late ;u;
