~First Doubts~ [Open/Action]

In the short amount of time that Ahri had been around Union, she's learned many new things but has also found many more questions. So many things she wanted to know more about and still. Was it all worthwhile? Things around here were much different than in the forest, more exciting for sure but also more complicated. Sure being a mischievous vixen has proven to be incredibly fun but there's more that she'd like to experience. But in turn that had also made her doubt her place. That wouldn't last long however as she's always been partial to let her curiosity and need to satisfy it guide her actions.

For now however, she was laying about a grassy area, looking to the vast skies along with the towering structures of the city itself. Every now and then she'd take a nibble of a snack she had pilfered from one of the nearby shops after causing a bit of havoc and having a bit of fun.

Somewhere, somehow, Fuuka looked rather disappointed. While she mean to look like that, she couldn't help but give a sad smile to Ahri.

"Well, I hope so! I thought it might be time for my Espurr to have another Pokemon friend with her! I'm starting to think she might be rather lonely!"

"Oh! Well, we wouldn't mind hanging." Ahri voiced with a small hint of embarrassment. She had a bit of a rough time at the beginning but she'd move on.

She motioned to the Eevee and smiled, "Kid's snoozing, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind having another friend! And I'm a Vulpix so there's that too~"

For a few moments, Fuuka merely blinked at her before she started to panic a little. "Oh...I didn't mean...I didn't mean to hurt your feelings if that's what you meant? I wouldn't mind having some company myself, it does get a little lonely if it's just the tw-"

Wait a minute here! "Um, I don't mean to be rude but what do you mean you're a Vuplix?"

At the same time, her Espurr slowly made her way toward the sleeping Pokemon before raising an eyebrow. Of course, she didn't do anything to make Kid wake up but she was rather curious about the Eevee.

Kid snoozed peacefully, his tail swaying every now and then in his sleep. Once in a while he'd make a little bit of sound as if dreaming of something.

Ahri on the other hand smiled apologetically at Fuuka. "Well uh, I don't exactly know the full extent of how or why, but I've been told that I'm what they call a shifter here. I'm both a me and a Vulpix! Which was what I've always thought I was since It's what I've been for the longest but then one day, poof~" she made motions with her hands as if signifying a puff of something happening.

"I was me, like this." she pointed at herself. "Now I can go back and forth."

As the Espurr kept watching the Eevee, she sat next to him wondering if she should wake him up. While her trainer and Ahri weren't ready to leave just yet, she had a feeling that she would have to wake up Kid sooner or later. He can't keep sleeping there forever....right?

Either way, Fuuka just stared at new friend trying to understand everything that was given to her. As she continued to blink at her, it took her a moment before she finally responded. "I see? I'm sorry, that is...certainly a lot to comprehend! I never seen a shifter before, it's pretty exciting! I wonder what it must be like to be a shifter!"

He definitely wouldn't, he's been napping for a while now and his stirring promps a yawn and a sleepy eyes look around his current surroundings. He's gonna take a second to be fully aware of what's going on.

"You tell me! I was completely confused and I still don't know everything about it myself. But... It feels... right?" she voiced as she tried to find a better way to explain it. "Like, this is who I was meant to be, someone between both worlds."

Meanwhile, the Espuur just stared at the Eevee before waving her hand in front of him. While a part of her felt bad for accidentally waking him up, that didn't stop her from trying to wake up him even further.

As Fuuka listened, there was a look of guilt on her face. "Then maybe I should apologize. If that's who you are meant to be then...I think I might have said something really rude and I didn't mean it like that..."

A few more blinks and the Eevee looked at the Espur curiously before smiling amiably. Hello!

Ahri smiled at Fuuka and shook her head. "What was rude?" her tails playfully swaying side to side. "You were curious no? Nothing wrong with that. I can't recall you being rude silly~"

As the Eevee woke up, the Espurr couldn't help but giggle. At least her experience with this new pokemon was a lot better than most of her encounters! When she gave her hand out to him, she too gave him a hello as well!

"Well, it just seems rude to say that! I know you are comfortable with being half Vulpix but at the time, I didn't so..." She trailed off before scratching the side of her cheek. "I apologise if I might accidentally make rude comments?"

Kid put his paw on Espur's hand and gave it a light shake, -I'm Kid! I'm new here! You been here long?-

Ahri laighed a little and shook her head. "It's okay, and I guess I'm not really half as much as I'm both?" Which made her chuckle and offer an appologetic smile herself. "I don't really know much about it at all honestly, and it didn't seem like they had much of an answer here. So I'm just learning more about this world while I'm out and about~"

With that, the cat just perked right up and gave Kid a big smile. "Of course! I've been here for as long as I can remember, I live here!"

"Well, if you need any help, please do let me know!" She said as she scratched the back of her head. "Although, I'm not sure what an Engineer like myself can do to help you figure out more about the Union though..."

Kid bounce happily. "That's so cool! I've always wondered what this place was but Ahri didn't like strangers before. When she was just a Vulpix. But now we're here and it's great! What do you like most huh?"

Ahr smiled and nodded, "An engineer? Isn't that really important? Do you like it? What's it like?!" Now it was Ahri's turn to be excitable and curious.

With that, the Espurr pondered a little "Well, there's a lot! I get to spend a lot of time with my trainer, we get to go out into the woods a lot, and the people are really nice too! Ahri doesn't need to worry about strangers, most of them are really friendly!"

However, as Ahri excitement grew, Fuuka only got more nervous as she gave a chuckle. "I do! It's really important because I get to create a lot of things for people! I'm still new at it but I am trying to see what new technology I can make to help others!"

Kid's eyes grew as Espurr spoke and he seemed to be in really high spirits.

"That's really cool! I hope we get to enjoy this place as much as you seem to!"

Ahri nodded, "I'm sure you will. Help people I mean. You seem really nice after all." she smiled amiably at Fuuka. Starting up a conversation with someone like her made her think that maybe this place wasn't too bad after all.

Unlike her previous encounter with another Pokemon? Espurr too was getting just as happy as Kid was! "Then how about I show you what this place is like? There's a lot to do around here!"

Again, Fuuka shifted her weight before mumbling to herself. How does one take compliments? "W-Well, there are a lot of other people who are nice too! Perhaps you should meet my friends like Yukiko and Yosuke! I think they're more than willing to help you out!" A pause. "I think they might be able to help you more than me, they've been Pokemon trainers longer than I have!"

"That'd be so awesome!" Kid looked excitedly from the Espurr, to Ahri, and back and forth until Ahri chuckled and nodded. To which Kid jumped and let out an excited "Woot! This'll be fun!"

Ahri shook her head amused and looked to Fuuka. "I wouldn't mind, that'd be great. The more sources I have to learn from the better don't you think?"

She did smile warmly though and got closer to Fuuka. "And really, you shouldn't downplay yourself. I felt welcomed and at ease, that alone has been helpful enough. And I'm sure you can do more than what you say you can."

Espurr didn't need to look at Fuuka, she already knew what was on her mind when she saw how excited her pokemon was! "Then let's go! The faster we find stuff to do, the faster you'll be happy!"

However, despite knowing what her trainer would say, Espurr couldn't help but look at Fuuka. Instead of saying anything, the teal haired girl just stared at the ground before she mumbled some more. "I...I suppose so. It's just I can't really battle or do a lot of things so...I thought maybe they would be better help than I would..."

Kid hopped around excitedly and grinned, "Woohoo! Lead t'way new friend!"

Ahri crossed her arms and tilted her head for a moment before offering a friendly smile. "Hey now, let's not put a downer on you yeah? Everyone has a place and everyone is here for something or the other. Having a purpose is more valuable than people credit it and I'm more than possitive that you have many! That, and I'm sure I can't be the only one appreciating you~" she winked playfully.

Of course, before the Espurr could do so, she looked back at her trainer to see if it was okay with her.

But Fuuka just chuckled a little before she gave a nod to her Pokemon. "I know, I'm not trying to be! I just...I suppose I don't really think I can do much despite what other people say." Then she gave a pause. "But I think that enough about me! I think our Pokemon would like to look around and I think we should too!"

Ahri looked at the two adventurous Pokemon and smiled with a nod. "Ah yes, I think you're right~" she mused with a light chuckle. "Okay, I suppose I've rested enough for now, and here I just wanted to be lazy." she giggled before standing up and stretching.

"Lead the way I suppose~"

Without another moment to lose, the Espurr gave a out cheer before walking toward somewhere closer to the city, As she pointed to a certain direction, Fuuka just giggled.

"Is there anywhere you would like to go? Otherwise, I think my Espurr might try and show your Eevee everything she can find!"

Ahri giggled in turn with Fuuka and looked over at the two before shrugging.

"I know very little of this place and sometimes it's better to just let life guide you through places! So, feel free to show us around little Espurr~" she voiced in a warm tone as she smiled over at Fuuka.

Kid cheered and looked to Espurr, ready to roll!

"Well, if you say so!" Fuuka giggled along side with her Espurr. As her pokemon started to lead the way, she pointed to a nearby building before she started chirping!

"You see that building over there in the distance? That's where you find one of the biggest supermarkets around! And you get a bunch of free stuff there!" She said to Kid. ”I get a lot of free Pokemon food there!”

Ahri started to walk along with them with a nod over to Fuuka. "Of course, more time to spend along a lovely person and two sweet quick friends." she giggled a bit at how happy Kid seemed and so did the Espurr!

Kid in turn looked around excitedly, especially at the mention of food. "Really?! Oh man I need to go there sometime! I wana try the food from this place!"

Without another moment to lose, Espurr quickly marched straight up to her trainer before pointing to the building. Fuuka only giggled, she already knew what her Pokemon wanted.

"Shall we go over to that building? I don't know if you ever went there before but it's known for being a really big place for shopping! And sometimes, they might even give away free food!" She gave a smirk to Ahri. "I'm pretty sure we can even see if they might be willing to give away free pokemon samples too!"
