[Naomi's grinning from ear-to-ear on the warp band, holding her new friend Oddish in one arm. She's in the park today, her other two pokemon no doubt nearby to keep an eye on her.]

Hey, does anybody wanna play tag with us? We're in the park so come stop by!

ACTION

[And that afternoon Naomi can be found running around the park with her three pokemon playing tag. Of course, if she sees anyone passing by there's a good chance she'll be running over and tagging them, whether they were coming to the park to play after he message or not.]

[ This is all new to Shelgon. She watches Oddish run around, trying to get a sense for the game. You...run? It's...a race? ] Shelgon.

[ She takes a few plodding steps in Oddish's wake. She'll...catch you? ]

Oh, uh, no wait a sec Sassy isn't it.

[Sassy being Oddish.]

'm it, which means you gotta run away from me before I tag you. If I do that means you gotta catch someone else 'nd tag them!

[She's not very good at explaining this, is she?]

[ Shelgon pauses to think about this (thereby presumably letting Sassy escape). So instead, she needs to run from the human! Is that right?

She turns and begins "running" away from Naomi, pausing to turn back every now and then to check and see whether she's doing this correctly. Running from a human would be much simpler if she could fly. Perhaps she should try. ] Gon?

[Sassy has escaped, hiding in a bush while no one is paying attention.

Naomi meanwhile waits, and watches at Shelgon begins to "run" away. It would be easy to catch up and tag the pokemon, but Naomi opts to wait, taking a few steps every time she looks back.]

Yeah! Like that!

Shelgon! [ This is a good game! Shelgon decides to focus ahead of herself and build up a head of steam. That way maybe she can run up a tree and fly.

.....physics does seem to be against her, but she hasn't spent her whole life dreaming of flight for nothing. She has to at least try! Now she has the extra incentive of not being caught. So she thunders along at a mighty pace...

...yeah, no. Even at that pace, Naomi may very well catch up before Shelgon reaches the tree. ]

[Well, Naomi can only go so slow for so long. After a few more seconds she reaches Shelgon, squatting down and giving the pokemon a small poke.]

You're it! Now you've gotta chase us.

[And she bounces up to her feet, hopping around Shelgon and heading to the tree.]

[ That was a tap? It's hard to feel it under all this shell. But Shelgon isn't the argumentative sort. If it's her turn to chase, she will chase!

At roughly the same pace as before, though she seems to be trying harder now. Her little legs are moving with much more vigor. ] Gonnnnn!!

[Naomi giggles, stopping under the tree and sticking her tongue out at Shelgon, teasingly.]

Nyah! Can't catch me!

Shelll!!! [ Catching the spirit of the game, Shelgon paws the grass with one leg the way she's seen Rhyhorn do when preparing to run. She's coming, she's coming, she's coming -

She's going to crash right into that tree at this rate. ]
