[After an interesting conversation a while back, Fuuka couldn't help but wonder a few things. While she was new at being a trainer, she didn't want to seem like a heavy to her fellow friends. Sure, she was still getting use to making and creating new things but the fact was? It was going to take her some time.

As Fuuka was wandering around the city, she simply stared at the pieces of chicken she created. While she knew better than to cook anything, if she wanted to get any better, she had to listen to other people. Even if those harsh words were going to hurt her.

With a heavy gulp in her throat, she gave a nervous chuckle as she prepared herself for the worst]

U-Um...excuse me, do you think you can try this? I want to hear what you think about it?

Is it really that bad?

N-No but I'm afraid it might...?

I've had some pretty weird stuff. I doubt one badly cooked meal is gonna bother me too badly.

[He took a bite anyway.]

B-But I'm serious, it might be really b-

[Of course, she didn't get a chance to finish her words. As he took a bite, all she could do was just stare. Suddenly, she found herself taking a small step back as she braced herself for what was to come.]

[He chewed. And chewed. And chewed.

Then swallowed... grimacing a little.]

It's kind of... okay. I guess? Maybe... unevenly cooked.

[Lucky for her, his stomach could handle a lot. He'd eaten weirder things before.]

[And that was all the more reason why she just stared at him having no idea how to process what just happened. Even her Espurr just stared in awe at how Duo managed to survive her cooking!]

Um...but you are okay right? You're not feeling ill or...having anything happen to you?

[After her little fiasco with Yosuke, she had to be sure!!]

Oh, yeah... I mean, I'll probably feel this later, but I've definitely had worse.

[She probably didn't want to know how much worse, but being something of a street rat could force someone to eat some less than desirable things.]

[And of course, being the engineer that she was? She just had to ask!]

...And mind if I ask exactly just how much worse would that be...? From the way you're saying it sounds like it is much worse!

Well... you've gotta eat a lotta weird things when you live alone as a kid. [He shrugged.] So, I've got an iron stomach.

[With that, Fuuka immediately frowned]

O-Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't...I didn't mean to sound like that. I didn't realise that you lived alone as a child. I apologise if I sounded rude...

Nah... you didn't know. It's not like I talk about it all the time. No biggie.

Well if you say so...

[Mumble mumble] But I guess that does explain how you were able to eat my food. At least now I can officially say there are a few people who can handle it?

At least that's something right...?

[Ahahaha...ha...ha....]

Better than no one being able to handle it, though, right?

[He shrugged a little.]

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'm sure you'll get better eventually.

I suppose so.

[She chuckled a little] Well, I hope so because I don't want to feel like I can't do anything here. Or if any at all...

Well, there's gotta be something you're good at, right? If not cooking, what about another skill?

Well, I am an Engineer so...I can focus more on technology but I still want to improve my cooking somehow as well though...

You're an Engineer? [Duo looked interested now.] Me, too!

[Blink blink]

O-Oh goodness, I didn't know that! I suppose that makes things better don't it? Not that it was great that you had to eat my food but...

[Mumble mumble]

To know that there are other Engineers out other! Mind if I ask what you have done so far? I'm really excited to hear what you've done!

Eh... [He shrugged.] Not much. Mostly repair work. I haven't invented anything, yet, but that's okay. My boss over at the Sweepers is always sayin' I'm lazy. [He laughed.

He could be lazy sometimes, but that's because he mostly worked at his own pace. And repair and salvage was kind of boring.]

Have you tried making anything, yet?

That's okay though right? Even if it is just repair work, it's still something! I wouldn't call that lazy!

[If it were, then she would be in that same category anyway!]

But yes I have! I made something out of a sun stone before but...I wouldn't call it anything great? It was something I made for a friend of mine so I don't know if you would call that an invention or something.

What did you make?

[Duo was curious.]

Oh! A sun stone since Yukiko wanted to see how it worked!

[A pause] Although, I don't know what she did with it afterwards...

What would you do with a sun stone?

A Sun Stone? You use them to evolve Pokémon. The Pokémon takes it, and evolves, and then the Sun Stone disappears. There's a few of 'em like that. Stones... Pokémon... evolving.

I suppose but I still wonder if she had done anything with it yet. I'll just have to go ask her!

But outside of that, I'm afraid I haven't made a whole lot...

That's okay. I haven't, yet, either. At least, nothing super new. Just repairs and stuff. Let me know what your friend does with that Sun Stone.
