[Taki's not the sort that really mingles well. He tends to keep to himself, even if he's amicable and friendly when he is around others. It's not that he doesn't like people, it's that he's in a constant state of keeping himself at arm's length, and others at two. Which is my explanation for not making a second post with him since APRIL.]

[Late evening, his Warp Band feed pops on and Mari, his Skitty, makes a startled noise and it clatters to the side, showing a clearing of trees near the Dwarfhouse. Anyone paying enough attention to the feed would notice a periodic flash of sparking yellow light that would illuminate the form of the aforementioned Battalion agent, punching at trees like a boxer.]

[It's a few minutes of this before he notices the light from the band and swears under his breath.]

Mari, don't play with that--

[His hand comes into view and the feed shuts off.]

[For those so inclined, a short time after the feed shuts off Taki will be stalking out of the woods behind the Dwarfhouse, knuckles slightly bloodied and a frustrated look on his face, but a very happy Skitty perched on his head.]

[Yeah, sorry about that. Have a camera flash from behind.]

[Well Hayato might be the last person he wanted to see right now. He stops, stiffly, inhales, removes Mari from his head and gives her a gentle push toward the house, then turns around.]

Hayato what are you doing.

[He lowers his camera a bit to fiddle with it, not exactly looking at him. He's looking much better than when he was dragged out of the caves. Lucas did good work even if it felt like if anyone poked him, he'd bruise. It's an odd feeling.]

[He sighs, and it sounds a bit more like something slowly losing air. He's in better shape than Hayato, but not by enough of a margin for it to not be bothersome. He's wearing a high-necked shirt, despite the heat, and a scarf tied around his neck to boot. He didn't bother to cover the rest of the bruises, because they were less severe and alarming to look at since none of them were hand-shaped.]

[He turns back toward the house.]

You should leave the wildlife be.

[He didn't really get it, though he knew Taki could be a little funny sometimes. He was the one sulking but Hayato was the one who'd given him those bruises. Unless he was actually that upset about what he'd dobe. Not that he could blame him. Getting strangled by someone you call s friend would put a damper on any friendship.]

[Still, he had a feeling that wasn't the issue.]

Don't worry. I'm not here to disturb anything. Just wanted to get a quick shot before it vanished again.

[A beat.]

If vanishing is what it really wanted, then I could probably take a hint eventually.

[Waver tuned in on the feed in a half asleep state. It was late, and he was under orders to sleep eight hours a night...although he had things to do, and he wanted to get them done quickly.

a little delay can't hurt.]

...Just be glad she's not pushing over every glass on the table, [He murmured, blinking owlishly at the camera.

Ignore the Vulpix poking at his face. She's just doing her job.]

[Waver's voice startles him, but he's quick to settle, running a hand through his hair.]

Yeah. Skitties are sort of a pain.

[A beat, and he gestures to the Vulpix.]

Looks like you're having a time, yourself.

Helen's just telling me to go to bed. I think.

[He caught the paw as it made to bat at his cheek again, and glanced off camera at the little Vulpix.]

--Stop that. I'll be going soon.

[Back to Taki:] She's nothing compared to Baccus. I'm not sure what to do with him.

[He paused for a beat, brows furrowed as he studied Taki more closely than he had before-- something in the back of his mind was saying that there as something about his face that was familiar. Then, it clicked.]

...You look different when you're not trying to pass for a rainbow.

[He quirks his mouth funny at the name Helen for a Vulpix-- he's not sure why but it's amusing to him.]

[It takes him a few startled seconds after Waver's recognition to put two and two together, himself.]

Oh! Shit, you're that kid from the Day of Fire. How's Union treating you?

[Meanwhile, as Fuuka wandering around and attempting to find some more Pokemon, her eye couldn't help but look toward a frustrated Taki. Not to mention a very happy Skitty was on top of him too...]

Um...is everything okay, sir?

[He blinks, turning to her, and loosens some of the tenseness in his shoulders. He offers a tired smile.]

Training. And this little shit is smug because she got to ride on my head. It's her favorite thing.

[And that got Fuuka to giggle a little as horrible as it might be.]

Well, it certainly sounds you had quite the training. I didn't expect it to be so rigorous with the way you look!

[Gives himself a briefly self-conscious once-over.]

Ah, I guess that's probably a generally safe assumption.

[ Ah yup uhm. When Taki gets back there's supplies set on the kitchen counter to take care of scrapes and smaller cuts. Thorin is around, busying himself with food, and the whole area is beginning to smell like curry despite the open window.

There's also an arcanine sprawled on the hallway floor being generally underfoot. That would be Kiltal. ]

[He usually made a pretty strong effort to not be noticed when he slipped back into the house after these episodes. This time, however, it seemed sort of inevitable, what with Kiltal nearly tripping him and knocking him on his ass and the first aid stuff all over the counter.]

[He knew when to concede to being caught, and pulled up a seat at the counter to work on cleaning up his fists, ruffling Kiltal's mane of fur gently.]

[He hears Thorin more than sees him, and lifts his head to speak loudly enough that he should hear.]

Whatever you're making smells outstanding.

[darer]

[ Kiltal certainly enjoys the skritches, rolling to her feet and following Taki to the counter, where she sits down next to his seat like she's hoping there's more where that came from. ]

Thank you. There ought to be enough for everyone. [ That would be Thorin, who a few moments later decides to leave the food to simmer a while and emerges into view. He isn't sure where to start with this mess. But he's glad Taki's still here, and actually cleaning up his hands. ]

[He angles himself sideways to try and continue scritching the Arcanine, but it's challenging when you're tall, seated, and trying to clean and bandage your hands.]

[He has the grace to look chastised when Thorin wanders into view, pausing in cleaning off one set of knuckles. He quirks his mouth, picking up the hand being cleaned and nodding toward him.]

...thanks. For this.

[Naomi peers at her watch band, ears twitching as she cringes. It really looked painful.]

[He starts, and then sighs, dusting off his bloodied knuckles.]

[The first being to appear on Right's end of the feed is not Right. Instead, it's his recently-evolved Vigoroth, who hoots and hollers Taki on and to take down that terrible tree--

Until rather grumpy-looking Right shoves him out of the way.] Hayai, cut it out! Just get some sleep already! [He sighs...and then sleepily blinks at the person on the other end of the feed.] Eh, isn't that...?

[Having zero ability to understand the Vigoroth, Taki just glances sidelong at the Warp Band until Right swims into the feed, grumpy and sleep-deprived. He inhales slowly and raises a hand to wave.]

Not sure if that means he was rooting for me or the tree.
