Trading Pokémon's a thing, right? Other trainers do it? [ She thinks. She's heard of it happening, anyway ] 'Cus I got a Pokémon I accidentally bonded with back during that earthquake, and neither of us get along that great with each other. So I'd like to give that trading thing a go.
[ Or she can keep trying to work things out with it but honestly... it's not been going well thus far. This week is a training week for her - making her own muscles work to their utmost and also trying to get a feel for what the other members of her... team... fight like. She's bonded with more Pokémon than she ever expected to, so she's trying to figure out how to work with them. Mostly this has involved having them fight with her and amongst each other in little spars towards the edge of the walls. So you might witness her or any of her team up to that. She considered going out but... well, she isn't confident some of these guys *cough Slugger and Tiny cough* could handle themselves outside the walls, yet.
Alternatively, when she goes to rest, she rests up in the Outpost and hang out there. Looking at the other Rangers gearing up and generally admiring them. She might be there with one or two of her Pokémon as well. Alternatively, you might encounter her going to the Pokémon Habitat to see where her bonded ... team ... go when they aren't with her.
Action her up at any of those places or respond to voice ]

And wonders if maybe they should go somewhere more private? Eh, who cares. It's not like a pokemon has anything to be personal about. Or at least, this one doesn't.
As for the Magnemite, it's unfortunately a Quiet nature, which means it talks less than a normal metal eyeball. Still, it is polite. ... Not really. But it does answer in the form of floating up and then down. Which may have been a nod... ]
[ ACTION ]
[Jinxie looks to Melaka for confirmation that she got that right, allowing her to interject if she wants before looking back to Magnemite for a response.]
[ ACTION ]
[ the Magnemite floats in place there though. Just silent. Just floating... But then as it shifts from one direction to another one, it ends up speaking finally with an oddly robotic tone to say "Frustrating"
because that describes a lot clearly. ]
[ ACTION ]
[Jinxie looks back to Magnemite.]
Frustrating how?
[ ACTION ]
[ Silence for a while. And then- "Does not rely on this one"
Which is a long sentence by it's standards, but it's sort of odd that while it probably sounds lightly frustrated, it doesn't show in it's expression ]
[ ACTION ]
[Jinxie mutters it under her breath for a moment, puzzling out what that means.]
...Oh! I understand. You want her to use you more, right?
[ ACTION ]
[ Melaka snaps this - it's possible she's assuming that the Magnemite is talking ruder than it is because she can't hear it, and even starts to stomp over towards her. Which the Magnemite floats a little back on and-
"No training" ]
[ ACTION ]
[Jinxie pauses nervously for a moment.]
...it says you haven't trained it.
[ ACTION ]
[ That's said with a huff, and she crosses her arms. She might even be coming off a little childishly because Melaka doesn't always react well to criticism despite her usually attempts to appear collected.
At this the Magnemite finally changes its expression a little, to flatten its expression on it's sole eye. And then turns in the direction of the juice stand they were just at. There's some electricity at work there, right... ]
[ ACTION ]
[Jinxie looks at each of them in turn for an answer, since clearly they have different notions of what's been happening here.]
[ ACTION ]
We've been- whoa hey.
[ and at this Melaka steps in front of it, holding out her wrist so that she can focus the warp band on it to maybe do that mental link thing again. At which point the Magnemite ships it's magnets to focus on the band and then begins to absorb the internal electricity of it. Which Melaka sorts at before ]
Will you stop it with these things. You live in the lightning habitat - [ And she bonks it on the head, with enough force for it to shift away with a blank look ] You get enough to eat.
[ And the Magnemite now turns with a blank expression to Jinxie. See what it contends with it won't even let her eat everyone when it's in a city full of things to eat. So mean ]
[ ACTION ]
[Now she's just trying to play peacemaker here.]
[ ACTION ]
[ "No training" ] I've been trying to work with this pokemon for a while now, and despite showing me up when I first met it it hasn't been sparing or focusing at all.
[ ACTION ]
[Jinxie blinks, looking back at the Magnemite.]
...Do you mean you don't want to train?
[ ACTION ]
"It's hard" and "boring" ]
Does it admit it?
[ ACTION ]
[Just repeating that one verbatim.]
[ ACTION ]
Another head bonk on the top of it. ]
What's hard about it?
[ ACTION ]
[Just gonna wait for it to speak its piece.]
[ ACTION ]
is all that it says ]
[ ACTION ]
[ ACTION ]
Okay, ignoring that they are in a public location she locks eyes (well, eye) with the Magnemite, throws down her bag as well as setting down the bottle she had her juice in, and raises her fists ]
Alright, then prove it. No more training if you can beat me.
[ It's clear she's trying to be controlled, but also losing her temper. The Magnemite looks blankly at her for a moment, but then points out "Bested before" Before floating closer to her, flattening it's eye in a sign of challenge! ]
[ ACTION ]
[ ACTION ]
[ Or at least how she does. People who train with her, got to keep up with her. She regularly spars with all her Pokemon. Except for this clowning knob. So she waves for it to attack, and it responds by hitting her in the face with a thunder wave.
... This may or may not start to draw a crowd ]
[ ACTION ]
[If this is going to help them to understand each other, Jinxie isn't about to stand between their attacks.]
