[ early on Sunday morning, a message goes out across the Warp Band network:

PARTY TODAY @ THE PARK

- come hang out with everyone and relax - it's going all day + into the evening, turn up whenever - try to bring something! food is always good but otherwise you can just bring a picnic blanket + napkins and stuff like that - totsuka's doing music things, music people should bring instruments - fireworks at night!!!!! - ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY, I WILL FIND YOU - see you there, have fun :)

attached is a picture of the particular park that the party is taking place at, as well as a general description of where it's located. ]

[Fuuka was never one for parties but that didn't mean she couldn't attempt to go out and have fun right? While her Pokemon was having a better time than she was, the young woman simply just stared at everyone around her and giggling along with everyone else.

When the fireworks went off though, that's when she finally started to have a good time. As she heard the roar of applause from people, she started clapping along with them. However, that didn't stop her from staring at a man that was...certainly have the time of his life over there...]

[One firework failed to go off at the proper time, so Gil went out to check on it, waving off a nervous looking technical assistant.]

Oh quit fidgeting like that. I'm almost positive it won't explode. The fuse probably just got disconnected; I made these things in a hurry after all.

[And just like that, Fuuka overheard him as he went talking to his assistant. She wasn't sure what was going on but whatever it was? It seemed serious. While it was rude to listen to someone else's conversation, she had to raise an eyebrow at how nervous the other person looked]

Um, excuse me? I don't mean to be rude but...is everything okay?

Yes yes. It'll be fine if I just...What the heck?

[Gil peered closer, then leaned way back and covered his eyes.]

Eyes.

Eyes?

[She said as she mimicked his actions and leaned way back]

...What eyes? I don't think I see anything?

I mean-

[Bang! There's a flash of light that would have left them both seeing spots all night if they hadn't covered their eyes. Gil ended up covered in soot.]

...that you should cover your eyes. Damn thing.

[And of course, her Pokemon didn't do that in time. Instead, she just saw spots in her eyes and immediately fell to the ground. As she began rubbing her eyes, her trainer did the same thing.]

Then perhaps you s-should have told me earlier? I wasn't aware of what was going on...?

[Oh dear, that didn't sound too rude did it?]

Neither was I until a second ago.

[Dusting soot off.]

Should be safe now, though.

[Even though she kept rubbing her eyes, she couldn't help but smile hearing the fireworks going off]

But it seems like you were able to fix that problem really easily, sir! !'m impressed, how did you do it?

It was obvious. Just some misaligned charges and powder imbalance. Honestly the confusing part to me is how other people don't see it.

Well, I suppose not a lot of people are aware of what it might be?

[Hmm...]

And sometimes, the obvious can be the last thing you will see since people tend to look at the smaller details sometimes!

Stand back, I'm going to try firing this one again.

But please do be careful! I don't want them to hurt your eyes when they blast off!

Nonsense! The theory is perfectly sound! Launching in three...two...one...

[Fwoosh! The firework shoots off into the sky before exploding into what appears to be a...green charizard? It's hard to tell. The explosives didn't go off right at all, after Gil's haphazard repair job. It's still reasonably pretty at least.]

[And unlike the last time, Fuuka did cover her eyes the moment it launched off! Of course, it was pretty to see and yet...something felt different about this one from the others]

Um, was...was that suppose to be a pokemon?

It was. I'm not sure how I got green, though.

Hmmm...

Perhaps it has something to do with the chemicals? I do know that one substance can tend to produce a certain color more so than the others!
