[Action - The Verdant Forest]

[On your way to/from Caldera for the festivities? Wandering out in search of Pokémon? Fleeing from a flock of Spearow? Odds are that you might run into a Honedge wandering the woods. They're not completely uncommon in Union, but finding them in the wild outside of ruins is almost unheard of. Too bad it's not Shiny...]

[It's definitely behaving oddly, though. Rather than going for the immediate attack, as many Wild Pokémon do, it's...lurking. Observing, actually. It's too honorable to lurk. But it seems to be hesitating about approaching for a little bit.]

[At this point, you can choose your path, almost like it's some sort of visual representation of a novel with multiple options given to the reader:]

[Approach the Honedge with Pokémon ready to attack, or with a Warp Band as if you're about to try to bond it (she, actually), and she'll unsheathe herself, ready for a fight.]

[Start speaking plainly, or wait long enough for the Honedge to get comfortable, and the Honedge Shifts into the form of a young lady in an old-fashioned dress, who immediately bows in greeting.]

Greetings. I ask of you - do you know the way to a place called "Union City"?

[ Lux isn't the most observant girl out there, but when something is following you that closely, it's hard not to take notice. The blond will often sneak a peek behind her, trying to catch a glimpse of what is observing her, before giving up and continuing on her way.

Around dinner time, however, she pulls out a bit of food, before calling, a bit loudly (and over-dramatically.) ]

Wow, I'm not sure how I'll be able to eat all this food by myself. I wonder if there is someone around who is hungry enough to help me eat all this food.

[ Acting has never been her strong suit. ]

[The Honedge floats slowly up. This person definitely wasn't going to attack, but...what's this she's calling food? It's unfamiliar.]

[ A Honedge, out here? She hadn't realized that they existed out in the wild! Maybe it was part of colony that left Union? How lucky! She could get some new data! ]

I was wondering how long it would take you to come out.

[ She smiled, still not making direct eye contact. It seems she has experience dealing with wild pokemon. Instead, she pulls out somewhat fancy embroidered handkerchief from her pack. Taking a few pieces of bread and cheese, she wrapped them inside, then set it down a little bit away from her. ]

I have more if you're still hungry after that. It's not often I get to share a meal with a sword.

[The Honedge eyes the food questioningly (and singly) for a moment, then floats forward. She considers the bread and cheese for a bit before shifting into the form of a young woman.]

[Look, eating Berries with no mouth is hard enough.]

Ah...this is for me?

[ Oh, a shifter! Lux blinks a few times, surprise crossing her face before she smiles it away. That makes a bit more sense. ]

I can't say this is anything I've tried before, but some variety from the occassional Berry might be nice...

[She cautiously kneels down and picks up a piece of cheese, looking at it curiously before popping it into her mouth.]

Really?

[ She looks surprised. Was this woman not from around here? ]

You'll have to tell me what you think, then. I have plenty more too, if you're still hungry.

[Saber chews thoughtfully for a long moment...]

[...then a light seems to go on in her eyes and she very quickly finishes the rest of the cheese before kneeling down and getting to work on the bread.]

[ Lux knows that look, smiling brightly at the other woman before grabbing her pack and pulling out a metal thermos and two mugs. ]

I have some cucumber sandwiches if you want to try those too. The crops are grown in Union, and were just harvested. They'll go nicely with the tea I have here.

[Munch munch munch.]

[She sits down expectantly. If this was an actual Wild Pokémon thread you would be getting her level right now.]

[ Lux happily pours the both of them tea, and after a little teatime interlude, she smiles a bit. ]

I take it you're not from Union, then? If you've never had cheese and bread before.

Honedge, as a rule, don't require much food, and what I needed I got from berries.

[She's just...going to appreciate the scent of the tea for a bit, then drinks it. Amazing. All the subtlety to the flavor of something she's pretty sure is boiled leaves.]

Having the same thing every time you eat is...tiresome. Especially pecha berries.

[ Lux nods, taking a sip of her tea. ]

There are a lot of interesting foods in Union, and the other settlements around here. You could probably eat something different every day and never have to look at another pecha berry.
