Who: Thorin and the Idiot Two

When: Post-event
What: Thorin was an idiot and got hurt. Fili and Kili are worried.

They wouldn't let Kili back to see Thorin until they checked his hand out (fine, like he thought, just needed bandages and disinfecting which they did at the house so why they made him wait he has no idea) so he's coming in a bit after Fili's already made himself at home in their uncle's room. He waves with the injured hand, smiling a bit.

"Hey."

Thorin is alright. He's awake and healing well. But Fili is still stressed and anxious. He's still pacing back and forth, Dagny the Luxio watching him move from a chair.

If only he'd been out there to help, maybe Thorin wouldn't have gotten hurt. If Fili had done something different, come to Union sooner...surely there was something he could have done to prevent this.

He doesn't even acknowledge Kili's presence, still pacing.

"Fee bonded with a Teddiursa that's vicious and evil." He grabs Fili with his good hand as he paces, forcing him to stop. "Don't pet her."

[darer]

"Note taken." He nods, taking the information with a grain of salt.

Fili stops pacing when Kili grabs him, finally stilling a bit.

"She isn't evil. Kili scared her, that's all." Fili huffs, folding his arms.

[youngestone]

"I reached out, with a smile, with her looking at me and she mauled my hand!" Why won't anyone believe him? He flops down in one of the chairs, sulking. "How's your head, uncle?"

[darer]

"Not much change from the last time you asked." Still throbbed when he turned it, or stood up, or- well, did much of anything. Not that he mentioned that.

"But very grateful I don't need to worry about the workshop." Looking at you, Fili.

Dagny takes that opportunity to use Kili as a pillow. She's not exactly small enough to fit comfortably in a lap anymore, but she can sprawl out and rest her head on his lap.

Fili smiles at Thorin's comment and dips his head briefly. "You just focus on healing, Uncle. We'll take care of everything."

Kili idly scritches behind Dagny's ears as Murdel climbs off the arm of the chair he'd been occupying and moves to Kili's shoulder. Lazy bum of a Bellsprout.

"Yeah, though, uh, can we arrange something for food? I don't wanna be poisoned by Fee's attempts at cooking and we all know I burn soup."

[darer]

Kiltal pads around the bed and looks at both of the boys. Feeling a bit left out in the scritching department, here!

"Taki and Hayato should be well enough to be home and cook, as I recall. No need for you to starve. And it isn't as if we lack the funds for take-out."

[bornofstone]

Fili smiles slightly at the Arcanine and sits down on the ground to pet him, careful to avoid the bandages. "My cooking isn't that bad, but I would certainly prefer someone else cook."

"Look, the only time I've ever had food poisoning was after you cooked. Better safe than sorry." He sighs and looks at his uncle. "Are you sure you're okay? You don't look okay."

[darer]

Kiltal is very happy with the attention, leaning into Fili's hand and wagging her fluffy tail, which makes the occasional encounter with the side of the bed, but she doesn't seem to mind.

Thorin gives a slightly exasperated sigh. "I'm fine. Time will mend the rest."

So cute. Fili smiles, scratching gently behind her ears. HE does glance over at Thorin to look at him critically.

"You're not to leave that bed, you know that, right?"

[youngestone]

"Mother will kill us if we let you move," Kili agrees. "I've got rope at the house, I'll bring it to tie you down if we have to."

[darer]

Thorin raises his eyebrows at both of them. They're hell to argue with. Kiltal barks in what is clearly agreement.

"Next you'll be threatening to sit on me if I don't stay put."
