[A new face appears over the Warp Bands. Mami, being a ridiculous Valkyrie who treats the law of gravity more like a loose guideline for other people, is just casually standing atop one of the towers while she sends a broadcast out. There is some wind as a result.]

Good morning, Union. Your city is quite impressive. As are these Warp Bands. I'd heard of them, but... never seen the like before.

[She is honestly relieved that they have tall towers here.]

I'm one of the people who assisted in that unfortunate business in Sanctuary. Mami Tomoe, a Valkyrie of Citadel, at your service. I hope everyone is well after everything that happened.

[The bright smile she flashes is perfectly polite and practiced, but a little sad. Yeah, that... entailed some discoveries that she isn't pleased with.]

[Action, Later in the Entertainment District]

[Mami doesn't spend the entirety of her first day in Union flying from rooftop to rooftop. It wouldn't be a very efficient way to see and experience the city, would it? No, instead, she is walking along the streets. She's presently in the entertainment district -- and gawking (or something more muted, but still utterly surprised), because Citadel has nothing like this. It's outside of the Pocket Stadium that she stops, staring at a flyer pressed into her hand.]

[She wrinkles her nose, trying to make sense of it.]

Bullet... Ball? [She's asking everyone and no one at the same time.] Is this like Sky Hockey? A Unioner sport, perhaps?

[Is Unioner the right word? She doesn't know.]

Yeah. I...guess that's probably true. I mean, I should learn. I've evolved twice now.

[And she's never had to use her powers to defend herself. Which is odd, but she thinks she's lucky.]

There's a few schools, but...I don't really know where to begin with that. But I should start, huh? With as crazy as everything's been lately.

[Mami considers for a moment. She hasn't evolved twice -- only the once -- but she has plenty of experience in fighting. Her finger tugs a little harder on the curl of hair.]

What types do you have?

[Yukiko's smile is faint, but proud.]

[Different enough than her own, but there's a lot about fighting that doesn't depend on type. There's a lot that is simply best practice. Mami thinks about it, then nods.]

If you want, I could teach you. I've learned a thing or two.

You could?

[She perks up at that, raising an eyebrow even as her voice goes up an octave.]

I could and I will, if you would like. It's a very useful skill for a Windblessed to have.

Um...well, yes, that would be nice! What kind of fighting though? All I really know how to do is throw fire around.

[wishingalone]

I can teach you the basics of stances and aiming. I use firearms -- after a fashion, at least...

[Technically, she uses her power as an Enlightened to create a spiritual replica of a firearm that fires a projection of force. But. Splitting hairs.]

And I can create ribbons as binds. That may tie closer to your grass powers. While our abilities vary, there are things I can certainly teach.

That would be useful. It'd certainly help me aim my beams, of nothing else.

[Because while she doesn't know a thing about guns, she's had no problems shooting rays of light or fire.]

And...that would be appreciated as well. Um...but in return, is there something I can offer?

[She's about to politely say it's not necessary, buuuuuuuuuuuuut]

A few free spa sessions?

Well that's no problem at all.

[She beams right back. She thought it might sound selfish, but... Mami loves her some spa time.]

Wonderful! Then we have an arrangement. We can begin as soon as you would like.

It sounds splendid. I'm still new to the city. Could you suggest a place to train?

There's a dojo there. Some people use it to train their bodies, and I help there sometimes teaching Pokemon moves.

[wishingalone]

Ah, then that would be perfect. They'll be well equipped for our needs, I suspect.

[frozenflame]

Probably. I mean, it works for teaching Pokemon, so why not people?

[wishingalone]

Precisely. We use many of the same capabilities.
