2nd Melody [Action//Audio]

[Within Union tonight, a certain musician is seated, playing her instruments, including a new one she'd found laying around in the old city. Nothing fancy, but it added to the feel of her music. Her music isn't loud enough to rouse anyone from their slumber. Quite the opposite, really. As always her music is soothing and relaxing.

As she picks up the tempo, Xiu begins to glow, her entire body and instruments shimmering with an eerie, yet beautiful light.

...and then she disappears.

A few seconds pass, leaving an odd silence, until the musician slowly fades back into view, her instruments resuming playing as if nothing happened. However, anyone watching can see a strange, almost indescribably aura as Xiu basks in the moonlight, and those who happen to be passing by might feel an urge to come closer and listen.

Her song also plays through the network via her warp band.]

If I was better at writing lyrics, it would be nice to try singing along.

Would lyrics really fit to it though?

[And just like magic, she begins playing the exact same melody again, although she's humming along with it softly.]

[Hanayo just listens through, closing her eyes and taking in the music, trying to think of what sort of lyrics would sound nice with it.]

[Xiu just continues playing, looking very relaxed. Even if Hanayo were unable to come up with something, she was content with this.]

[Coming up with words on the spot proves to be too hard for Hanayo, but she does start in with generic 'la la la' type stuff at some point. Even with just that, though, she manages to strike a wonderful harmony with Xiu's own voice and music.]

[Xiu doesn't mind. She enjoys herself nonetheless, continuing on until her melody is done.]

Hm...that was pretty nice, wasn't it?

Yeah! We sounded really pretty together!

[Hanayo smiles, big and bright.]

We should do it again sometime, hm?

We definitely should. Let's plan for it next time, though.

[No more invisible surprises.]

That'd be a little easier, wouldn't it?

[Xiu may be able to improvise her music on the spot, but coming up with lyrics is a little more difficult.]

Well... I look forward to working together, then!

[Hanayo politely bows her head.]

Same here. I'm usually right around the city, but if you can't hear me, just give me a call on the band thing.
