[The video popped on and Duo peered at the camera for a moment.]

Oh, there we go. [The image shifted and there was a quick sweep of what looks like a cluttered workshop. In the background, Duo muttered something about picking up a used warp band and fixing it before speaking directly to everyone again as he came back into the visible frame.]

Hey, everyone. Duo Maxwell here. Just got this thing back up and running. Pretty good, if I do say so myself, and that's why I'm here. Me an' the Sweepers have been digging up some old tech in Old City over time, and we're looking to expand into repairs.

Well, I am. Don't tell the Old Man in charge, okay? [He winked, seemingly oblivious of the sudden appearance of a creepy Duskull behind him. It hovered, staring, and then drifted off again as Duo continued speaking.]

Anyway, we're not just good at finding stuff, we're good at fixing it, too, so stop by if you need anything fixed that got broken.

[After his announcement, Duo would be found at his workshop for most of the day, but he headed out at lunch and then closed up around dinner time. He could be caught after the day was over, wandering around the city with no real apparent goal in mind and looking to just pass the time.]

[He folds an arm behind his head, smiling broadly in response]

So you're one of the guys we can go to if we find something old that could be fixed up then?

Yup. I'm pretty good at it, too, if I do say so myself. [He chuckled.] I'll probably have some stuff, too, 'cuz we fix stuff we find, too. Like me and the guys in my group found a couple of crystals a few weeks ago and made some evolution stones out of 'em.

Evolution stones...

[He glances off screen, and there was a distinctive bark of a Growlithe - which he kneels to pick up, bring it within view as a Dratini slithers over his shoulders]

So I should keep you guys in mind then when Furfur's ready to evolve, I take it?

Oh, yeah. That's a Fire Stone, right? I know where I can get Fire Crystal to make one, too. Let me know when you're ready, and I'll be glad to help out.

[As Quatre stared at the person on the other side a little closer, he could have sworn he heard that name before. Although, the problem was where. When he placed his hand on his chin, he pondered a little bit.

And then it suddenly hit him! It couldn't be...!]

Duo? Is that really you?

Eh?

[Duo stared back.]

Hey, you're kinda familiar.

[The Houndour in the background barked, wagging the stump of a tail. He recognized Quatre.]

We met before?

[Meanwhile, somewhere in the background, there was a Ralt that kept pointing to the screen. It was almost as if he recognized him too!]

Hey, hey, Sandrock, I know, I told you about him before! [He mumbled a little before speaking up]

But yes, I believe we have! Does the name Quatre sound familiar to you?

Mm... yeah. From a long time ago.

[Duo's tone changed a little, and he narrowed his eyes a bit, like he was thinking back on things that he wasn't sure he wanted to remember.]

Winner, right? Golden Boy Winner?

Like, what kind of stuff can you fix?

[It'd be cheaper to get broken adventuring supplies fixed than replaced, right...?]

Like all kindsa stuff. I've fixed bikes, old TMs we found down in Old City, fishin' poles... just about anything.

Is there something you're asking about?

[He shrugs, with a faint little smile.]

Not right now? A bunch of my stuff gets pretty beat up out in the field, though, so it's probably a matter of time until I need something patched up.

Oh, sure. No problem. [Duo smiled.] I can understand that. I'm always fixing stuff up like that with the guys on my team. Poking around in ruins and old places can be hard on equipment.

Do a lot of exploring?

[He grinned again.]

Oh, yeah. [He laughed a little, grinning in return.] Kinda part of the job, yanno?

It's been getting that way for more and more people, I think. What do you do?
