Estelle + Xiu: Unexpected Adventure!

[Estelle told Xiu that if she ever wanted to go some place dangerous, she would tag along! She knows, on some level, that she's now a tough and more experienced Enlightened than many. She likes that part of it; helping and protecting people close to her is great. It's like going into ruins and seeing the world.]

[She hasn't been to the tropical island before. It's nice to see it, and as she walks down the beach, she takes a look around, before stretching her arms. Then she looks over her shoulder, back at Xiu.]

It's nice and warm here! Want to look around the beach or the jungle area?

[Reminds her of home, at least in that way. It's completely different in others. She flashes Xiu a grin; it's actually nice having her along for reasons besides finding exploring fun. After the incident with the gods, she'd been out of sorts, but Xiu -- even if she didn't know it, even if she didn't intend to -- helped her get a sense of peace again. Estelle owes her for that.]

[There's both a sense of relief and accomplishment from Xiu when their plan seems to work smoothly. She's pretty glad no one got injured during that exchange. After letting out a sigh, she floats on over to her travel buddy.

...why is she still on fire? Xiu sniffs. Nothing smells like its burning. That's good.]

Estelle...? Why're you on fire? [She could make some terrible jokes here, but she's more curious right now.]

I--I don't know.

[She holds her hand up, staring at it, then at Xiu. Her face screws up before she looks back down at her hand and coughs. She focuses and it switches over.]

I-I think I evolved there!

[echoingmelody]

[It's kind of cool, but unsettling at the same time.]

Really? That's pretty sweet if you did. That means you're a lot stronger now, right?

[brandnewshoes]

I think so! I kinda felt like I got a lot stronger, when I was pushing the Wailmer back...

[She focuses -- and turns the fire back on. It lights up over her hand.]

Hey, check it out!

[echoingmelody]

Oooooh, that's so cool!

[It really is kinda neat. Although this would be so much more awesome if Xiu had some marshmallows.]

I know, right?

[She grins, then turns off her hand's fire one more time. Her smile softens; that got pretty crazy.]

You okay?

[echoingmelody]

[Xiu plops right down on the ground with a brief laugh.]

Yeah, just slightly tired from all the running. What about you?

[brandnewshoes]

[She gives Xiu a thumbs-up, then leans back.]

Yeah, same here... winds up evolving takes a lot out of you. I didn't think we'd really get a bunch of wild Pokemon after us.

I didn't think so either.

[It looks like she was wrong about the island just being a nice, easy place to kick back and relax. It's a good thing Estelle was with her!]

Maybe we can relax now, huh?

[brandnewshoes]

Yeah! Bout time. Wanna relax here or the beach?

[She glances warily down the trail they came. So warily.]

Hm....I kinda want to go back to the beach.

[There's a pause as she thinks it over, though.]

Think there's another path we could use?

[brandnewshoes]

Hrm...

[Estelle looks around, then she spots another trail; it's a bit down the way. It certainly won't, in ten minutes, lead to something crazier. Certainly!]

Let's try that way?
