Who: Pamela and Feliks

Where: Starting at Feliks’ place and then the habitat

When: May 14th, afternoon

What: Pamela is worried about Feliks and decides he needs an intervention and some TLC

Pamela was worried about Feliks. It was natural to be worried about Fai and Yuui - she was too. But ever since she’d found him in such a fragile state after he’d searched for so long in the wilderness, she’d kept a watchful eye from a distance. Her friend was stubborn enough that pushing him too much would do more harm than good. The last thing she wanted to do was make him even more upset and prompt him to do something rash out of despair.

She’d been careful about not being overly naggy, and only checked up on him with the same frequency that she normally did as a friend despite the temptation to mother-hen him. However, enough was enough. It was a time for an intervention. When she showed up at his home, Pamela didn’t ask him if he wanted to do anything. She announced what they would be doing together that day.

“Get all of the Pokemon you have here and any treats you want to bring,” she told him at his door. “We’re going to the habitat.” Patting a large picnic basket tucked under her arm, she added, “I’ve brought enough berries for everyone.”

"She's babysitting there, yeah," he joked -- though he had the three youngest Pokemon with him. He usually had more around, but he'd felt like a quiet morning before heading out on his search again.

"Have I met Lily? No, right?"

"No, I don't think so," said Pamela. "She's a Gardevoir, now, but I bonded with her as a Ralts in the Dream World."

Lily was a sweet little thing, but odd. She spent much of her time staring at the stars at night...but then that very act made her fearful. From what Pamela understood, it was because Lily thought the end of the world was coming soon. She hoped that being around Jadwiga would help to calm her down.

"There's a few of mine that you haven't met yet." Pausing, she added, "Which reminds me. I apologize in advance for Crocus."

"Oh, you can't just give me a lead-in like that and not tell me what's up with Crocus..."

Sounded either terrifying or hilarious.

"I haven't really been bonding with a ton of Pokemon lately, so like, there's not really anybody too new for you to meet..."

"He's a Haunter who's possessive of me because I'm his Mommy. I got him as an egg in Ninetails Vale." She winced a bit. "It's a very good thing I'm completely immune to poison, because he surrounds me with his gaseous form to drive away anyone who might get too close. I've been working on it with him, but."

She still hadn't weaned him completely of the habit, so it was best that she warned Feliks about it ahead of time.

"Poison-type? For real?"

There's a sort of childish little groan in Feliks's voice. How totally unfair is that? He doesn't have many real type weaknesses, but poison is never good news for him.

"Well, I guess I won't be getting too grabby, then. No loss there, right?" As if there had been a risk of that in the first place.

"Ghost/Poison, and thankfully he's improved. He used to do it a lot more frequently."

She looked amused at Feliks' comment. If Feliks had shown even the slightest interest in girls that way, she was fairly certain he'd have already been married off to one. Possibly even her.

"I was never too concerned about you being too grabby. I'll be sure to hold off from giving you a hug until after we're not around Crocus, though.'

Feliks gave her a little wink, as they approached the Habitat. He'd never had any genuine interest in girls, no, but he did like joking with them in a way that just bordered on flirtatious, now and again.

"I guess I'll have to settle for that! You're breaking my heart here, babe."

"Somehow, I think you'll survive," Pamela said with a little laugh.

She opened the door to the Habitat. It was a good place to have for the Pokemon who were bonded with trainers. Out in the wild could be a little unsafe for the Pokemon who were accustomed to living with humans, but it was still important that they have time to play with other Pokemon than just the others bonded with their trainer. It was also best that they spend that time in a semi-natural environment.

Then there was the fact that the more Pokemon one bonded with, the more challenging it was to keep them all at home. Her roster had gotten rather large in the past year, and some Pokemon could get quite large as they evolved.

"Nope, I'm totally done for," he insisted, with a joking mimicry of earnestness in his tone. He even sparkled a bit as he laughed -- a sight that used to be a whole lot more common, a few months ago.

"I'll just, like, pine away because I'm never gonna get with you. It's gonna be the worst, swear to the Savior."

And then, cheerful as anything, without missing a beat: "So, what section are we gonna hang out in?"

It was nice that Feliks was able to laugh and sparkle - a sign that at least a little of his cheer was sincere rather than put on for her benefit.

"I usually like to spend time with my team over in that area." Pamela pointed to one of the greener areas of the habitat, filled with shrubs and trees. It probably came as no surprise whatsoever that it was the area with plenty of healthy plants that attracted her attention.

"Although if you have another preference, we can go there instead."

"Nah, there's good!" Feliks wandered over towards the area Pamela had indicated. Flopping down comfortably in the grass, he picked up his Eevee and kissed the tip of her nose.

"Hey, you and your sister wanna go round up the others and bring them back here?"

She squealed out an excited reply, and disappeared with Huzar, scampering off to find out where their friends were. When they were gone, Feliks lifted his Togepi into his lap and smiled up at Pamela. "Mine kind of hang out all over the place, so that's probably the easiest way to find them."
