Plot Description: SCIENCE OF COURSE! AT HIGH SPEEDS! That is to say: Creating Rotomcycles, testing them out, and all that sort of stuff.

The young scientist flashed a grin, the light catching her classes in an almost menacing fashion. "Have I? You ain't seen anything yet. Take off the parking brake, Taki. Then shift gears and get it a go."

The same light that glinted off her glasses glinted off his teeth when he grinned again, and turned his attention to the rotomcycle.

"Gladly."

And he's off.

Lucca stepped back, laughing brightly as Taki put Swinedimple to the test. She'd taken to calling her bikes by the names of the Rotoms that inhabited them, and thus...Swinedimple had been born.

"How is it?" she asked into a radio she's wired into his helmet's headset. "Feel sturdy? stable? Any weird noises besides Swiney?"

Swinedimple certainly was a name, that was for damn sure, but he'd known Lucca long enough to not question her quirky nature (and the quirky names she gave to things and Pokemon alike). And regardless of name, Swinedimple was a glorious life added to a machine. He took one hand off the handles of the bike to tap the underside of his helmet to respond.

"Shakes a little at higher speeds like the one Haruka rode," he explained. "But I'm pretty sure that's an alignment issue more than it is instability or structural. It feels solid."

It's good that Taki isn't thinking too hard about Lucca's eccentricities. She's an odd ducklett, but that's just a fact of life. and she's insecure enough that calling her on it might just be more drama than it's worth. She likes machines, and she's bad at People...but with Pokemon at least she can get by.

"Good. And can you kick it up into full gear? Swinedimple will know what to do! I just wanna see how it goes..."

It's stress testing.

He would never, apart from possibly some lighthearted fun-making that he would assure her he didn't mean negatively. He appreciated Lucca, and her oddities were a lot of, if not the entirety, of who she was. He tapped the helmet again.

"Roger that," and he did as he was told, putting both hands back on the handles.

Swinedimple gets the message, and the engine roars even louder, tires squealing as they gathered speed. Oh, get ready, Taki. You're gonna love this.

"Now let go of the brake and hold onto your butt. Swiney is ready to go!"

He considered telling her that simultaneously letting go of the brake and holding his butt was a very silly order to give and would prove challenging, but he opted to do as he was told instead.

And momentarily, he was startled enough to yell, because dang this little guy could zoom.

Lucca laughs as she hears the yelling over the headset, watching Swinedimple really take off. The little Rotom was super excited, that was for sure!

"Perfection! It works! Now...try the brakes!"
