[ For someone who seemed positively tickled at the idea of investigating the strange things going on, Lux doesn't look particularly happy once the search parties make their way back to Union. ]

I hope everyone got back safely. Things--ah--got a bit intense while we were down there, and I don't think I really understand what happened. We all saw some things, things that some of us weren't prepared for.

[ That was an understatement, considering her tone of voice. ]

The Gods were testing us. They wanted us to see those things. Past humanity's hubris. They wanted to see how we would react.

I don't--

[ She paused for a moment, then smiled a bit hesitantly. ]

We should remember this, and how we reacted. Whether or not we thought it was the right thing to do in hindsight, this is the impression we've left, for better or for worse.

I hope we did the right thing.

That explains a lot! Sinbad overheard something about... creations? It was creepy. I didn't catch it--uh, there was artillery distracting me.

[She frowns.]

But... that could mean they made Pokemon.

Made..?

[ Lux goes a bit pale at the prospect. That wasn't possible, was it? ]

That... that can't be right.

[Estelle's speaking, but she doesn't sound exactly convinced of what she says.]

Maybe... they meant metaphorically. Like they made them what they are.

[ Lux is silent for a moment. Estelle didn't see Mewtwo in the state they had. ]

What do you think, after speaking with him?

[She hesitates when she thinks about that.]

...He was angry. Really angry. The kind of angry where you lead an army of Pokemon and they bring out five huge cannons, a ton of people, and make special devices to seal you up, because you're going to break them if they don't.

[She lets out a long, ragged breath.]

I don't know for sure. If I was a betting woman, I'd put my money on them making him, though.

[ Lux pauses before speaking. Her tone is very measured, detached even. ]

When we found Mewtwo, he was in some kind of entrapment. There were wires attached to it, attached to him. He seemed confused when he woke up, he asked us who he was. He was disoriented, unsure of where or who he was, and the only thing he seemed to feel was pain.

I don't want to think you're right. I don't think I'm prepared to think about what that would imply if you are. But I'm not sure what else would explain who or what we saw.

...yeah. It adds up, even if I wish it didn't.

[She swallows. There's something else; she hesitates to say it, but... she knows it's important, too.]

He knew we were from Union. He said... he said that he should come see it some day. I don't think he meant it in a bad way.

He what?! But how?! If he came from the past, how could he know about Union, about us?

I don't know. Maybe they wanted us to see it, maybe...

[She isn't sure. Maybe time does work the same way for the gods. That's not a comforting thought.]

...but he definitely knew about us.
