[It's funny that it's early Spring and he's finding he wishes he had a jacket to shrug into, but he never did bother to ask anybody what the weather in Union was gonna be like. A new face wanders into town and, pushing his sunglasses up onto the crown of his head, sets his hands on his hips and surveys the area. Beside and behind him, a Rhyhorn and a Scyther settle close but not too-close, and he looks between them with a smile.]

Union, eh? Our first time here. [He tosses his head toward the Rhyhorn with that comment, looking at the Scyther. Aforementioned Bug Type seems uninterested and idly slides its bladed arms together, looking the other direction. Taki just laughs, and pulls up his Warp Band, switching what side of his mouth an unlit cigarette sits in.]

Helloooo Union! Tell me somethin', where's a guy gotta look for someplace to stay for a while?

[Seeing as he has no concept of understanding Pokemon, he just stands there, likely doesn't flinch when he's smacked, and aims to pick him up by the scruff of his neck.]

Pokemon around here are rude, I tell you something.

Bu-bunnel! [~What are y--put be down this instant!~ Okay, evil plan #159 has been officially derailed as of this moment. Especially since this human's apparently unaffected by his attack. The Bunnelby struggles to hit Taki again in the hopes that if he hits hard enough--]

Lu... [~Yami...~ The sudden growl makes the Bunnelby freeze, then wince as he tries to look over at the Riolu standing at the nearby corner. The latter Pokemon is clearly staring judgmentally at the former, arms crossed and right foot tapping displeasingly.]

[What even are these Pokemon. Taki is mostly just making an exasperated face at Yami, and then looks past him to the Riolu. For a moment, he's not sure if the bipedal Pokemon is judging the Bunnelby or him, so he gives Yami one last frown and then sets him down.]

Scoot, little guy. I don't think I have anything you'd want, anyway, it's a lotta boring paperwork.

[lunchleader]

[The Bunnelby does hop a few feet away from Taki and his Pokemon, but looks over his shoulder. While Taki may not understand what exactly Yami is saying, the tone of voice is very "you bastard, I'll get you yet!"...and punctuated with laughter fitting for a mad scientist.

Said laughter, however, is immediately cut off as soon as the Riolu decks Yami with his own Quick Attack. The fighting Pokemon then looks up at Taki and bows apologetically.]

[This sure was some kind of welcome. Taki bows in response to the Riolu, chuckling, and scratches at the back of his neck.]

[lunchleader]

[And just a few moments later, a human male voice calls out down the street.] Yami~! Softy~!

Rio~! [~Over here, Right! The Riolu howled in response over his shoulder.]

[And within seconds, Right comes running up, carrying a Togepi in his arms while a Herdier and a Deerling trots along after him.] There you are! Where have you two--Ah! [He stops, however, upon spotting the three newcomers.] Oh, uh, sorry if either of them's been causing any of you trouble.

[That sure is a lot of Pokemon for one teenager. Taki's eyebrows raise again and he grins, shaking his head.]

Keeps me on my toes, yanno?

[He dusts off his hands on his hips and takes a few steps forward, offering his hand to Right.]

Kazuya Taki.

[lunchleader]

[Right grins in relief as he shakes the offered hand. Yay, no harm, no fowl!] Right Suzuki. This here's Tamago, that's Wagon and Kisetsu, though I call him Kise for short... [He points to each Pokemon as he introduces them.] ...and you've already met Yami and Softy--Soft Steel.

[All the Pokemon greeted Taki in their own manner...except Yami, who just huffs and turns his back on the whole lot, front legs crossed in front of his chest.]

[Right Suzuki. He tries to follow each name to its Pokemon counterpart and mostly succeeds, but that is still a lot of 'mon for one kid. He nods, and reclaims his hand.]

That's a lot to remember. Hands full, eh?

[lunchleader]

Eheheh...only a couple, like Yami here. Most of them are pretty easy to get along with, actually - especially Wagon and Softy.

Ter-ter! [~Right is just an intensely wonderful friend to have!~ Wagon wags her tail in agreement, shaking her face so as to show off her newly braided mustache. Look at her pretty bows, handsome human man!]

[Taki hasn't the foggiest of an idea of what that little creature is trying to convey to him, but he smiles and waves his fingers at her with a smile.]

Hah, yeah. He'd have been disappointed going through my stuff though, it's nothin' but paperwork and clothes.

[lunchleader]

Di~! [~Iyaan! You noticed!~ Wagon circles around Taki's feet with joy.]

Yeah, I guess he--What?!

Lu-ri. [~He was trying to steal from this group.~ Soft Steel calmly explained.]

Steal from him?! [Right glares at the Bunnelby, kneeling down towards him.] Yami, I thought we talked about this! No more thievery - remember?

By-by Bun. [~Technically it's not theft if I just happen to Pick Up something.~ Yami doesn't sound very repentant.]

[Taki just aims to stand as still as he possibly can while Wagon circles around him to avoid stepping on her, and then waves a hand dismissively when Right fusses.]

It's no problem, though you might wanna try an' break him of that habit. I'm not here to police critters and it's not my city to do so anyhow.

[lunchleader]

[Wagon, thankfully, goes back to sitting besides Right after a couple of circles around Taki.]

Oh, I will...later. Right now, though, he's gonna go sleep in the Habitat until he's ready to apologize for what he's done.

[Yami looks startled at that - He's banishing him from their home?! But it's too late to try and appeal the decision. Right's already sending the Bunnelby away to the mentioned place thanks to the Warp Band.

Once that's done, Right sighs as he gets to his feet.] Sorry you had to see that.

[Taki shrugs, reaching out and patting him on the shoulder.]

Don't take it so hard, they're like kids. They'll do what they want.

[lunchleader]

Heh-heh...yeah, I guess... [Right rubs the back of his head as Tamago pats the lad's arm.

...and then his stomach growls.] Ahhh...all that running has made me hungry.

[Recoiling, Taki settles his hands on his hips and quirks his mouth to the side, tilting his head.]

Got any favorite spots in the area?

[lunchleader]

Plenty! I think there's about six or seven nearby that I can name off the top of my head. Let's see...

[As Right starts listing them off, Soft Steel sighs and shakes his head...but there's a smile on his face. There goes Right again - he's always like this whenever someone asks to eat out with him.]
