Mission 007 | Action

[Estelle Bright made an important decision: she wants to learn to race Pokemon. Ah, but she doesn't know how to do that, really. Should that matter, though? Most things in life can be learned with a little elbow grease, a little determination, and jumping right in! She decided this was true of racing.]

[Nevermind that she has been in this situation before. She will master this situation!]

[And thus she's on the back of Karna, her new Skiddo, as it charges down the streets of Union! It bolts down a busy one, a hairpin turn executed, and she grabs for dear life. She's not steering as much as just holding on, and occasionally yanking it in a direction with its horns.]

Look out, look out--sorry! Coming through!

[And she's loving it.]

WOOOOOOOOOOOOO~HOOOOOOOOOOOO!

[He nods, grabbing at his hair to keep it from smacking or Estelle in the face as he takes a breath]

Maybe I could see why?

[Sinbad suggested - wincing at an uncomfortably tight turn]

Hey! Karna, right?
conquerorofwaves: (you didn't think your cunning plan throu)

[He nods - okay, where to start, first off - someplace where they're not going to knock over more expensive things to get stuck on Estelle's tab. He shoots her a 'trust me' look]

Looks like you're handling the market just fine, but don't you think it's a little too easy? If you really want to be a champion racer, you gotta do more then just run around like a maniac and tire yourself out.

[Let's see - headstrong, likes to race and headbutt, Karna's likely a prideful one]

Racing's about speed and stamina. Jump the gates or pull out ahead too quickly and the other 'mons are going to outpace you when you start to feel weary, and the last thing you want is to be choking on a ponyta's smoke, right?

[He shifts, considering what he's gonna say next]

So you pace yourself, pull them into a false sense of security and then tear out ahead at the last stretch. And your human's going to help with that - you can focus on keep the pace and keeping the pokemon from pinning you, and she can see what's up ahead and let you know when to give it your all.
