ACTION/MINGLE

[After being silent for a few weeks, Kaido, Mari and Atsuro's place has been suddenly bustling with activity.

At first it was just moving and cleaning and pokemon occasionally running around, but today there's the sound of hammering and a lot of voices...

... and halfway through the afternoon, when people are starting to get out of jobs/school and into the streets, a makeshift wooden stand is erected outside the building, with a big sign on it that reads:

WELCOME BACK! FREE LEMONADE FOR ALL!

(And under it, in smaller letters that from the scratchy handwriting are probably Kaido's:

Until we run out, anyway)

Mari, Kaido and Atsuro are taking care of the stand, looking much tanner than you'd usually see them. Ask them for a glass? Mingle? Trip on one of the pokemon running underfoot? The possibilities are endless]

[She's looking far more relaxed than she'd been for weeks leading up to her trip, as her fellow workers at the medical center would have noticed. And keeping an eye out for anyone who might be in need of a refill.]

Atsuro

[Despite looking different, with tanned skin and longer hair and even an additional new inch of height, Atsuro acts the same - the same ever-present smile, turning into light-hearted snickering every time he catches a glimpse of Kaido's adddendum to the sign, the same chattiness and the same tendency to do several things at the same time. In this particular case, he's attempting to mix lemonade, explain something to Mari, gesturing excitedly, and trying to balance his Budew on the bend of his elbow. Feel free to approach him though, he's still got enough brain capacity and energy to add yet another activity to his ever-growing list]

Laugh all you want, but I'm not going shopping for more fruit if we run out.

[Yeah that's his best attempt at being grumpy. But he has to be prepared, Atsuro]

Sorry I just disappeared at one point, I just... I finally found a lead and I couldn't concentrate on anything else, and since we've kept contact until then I thought you'd know I'd be fine.

[He's trying his best not to have his tone be guilt-inducing. He knows it was important for you, and holding it against you now accomplishes nothing and would be petty]

[Mari is listening very intently to him, nodding every couple of seconds and smiling fondly. It is certainly much easier to appreciate what he's learned from traveling now that he's actually back.]

You wouldn't believe it! So he shoots straight for my head - I thought the little guy was gonna attack me, I know Taillow aren't all that dangerous, but I still didn't want to fight him - and then all he does is grab my hat and try to hide in it! Like he thought it was a nest. These guys are supposed to be really fierce, but I think that one was still a new hatchling and still scared of all the things around him. I helped him find his way back to his real nest later, but he ate almost half of my Pokemon food supplies on the way.

[He chuckles a little - it's pretty pleasant to talk about the small, silly things that happened to him on his journey outside Union. There have been its bad moments, but he doesn't want to think about that right now - he's back and that's all that matters.]

Anyway, how have you been doing here without me? I hope Tadashi behaved okay?

[Oooooo, sugary goodness~! Creeper the Caterpie can just smell the sugar used in the lemonade all the way down on the ground, and is currently trying to figure out the best way to get said goodness. Should he use his String Shot to swing up for a taste? Or should he try and find anyone that doesn't like bugs and give them a surprise hello in the hopes that they will drop a cup that he can drink from?

Clearly, the way he's deep in thought shows that he wants to be bothered, then.]

Ca? [Creeper jumps a little, but then turns up the polite face to 11.

Yes, hello! Is there something tasty up there on that table?]

[We have lemonade!]

[Lemonade? That sounds delicious. Do you think they'll let one of us have a cup?

Creeper has never tasted such a thing before, but if it smells sweet, then it must be good, right? Right.]

[Lemonade is delicious!

...as long as you don't hate sweet or sour flavours, anyway.

She'll go ask for a cup if you want :3 ]

[Oh, no, not at all! As long as there's enough sweet to balanced out the sour...

Creeper happily nods at the offer. Though, if they actually said no, he's got a couple of back-up plans in that insect brain of his. Not that he's gonna let her know, either way.]

[She flies off and asks what looks like a pretty grumpy human, then comes back with... a Scraggy in tow, carrying a glass.

It was too big for her to carry alone :( ]

It's okay! And pretend that I was listing Creeper as "she" instead of "he" all along (orz)

[It's perfectly okay! Big things require big beings to carry, after all! Creeper's just happy that she gets to have a nice big cup of sugary liquid without having to scare someone to drop it first.

Not only does she get tasty stuff, but it's also in a way that'll make her human happy with her!]

[Nope! Not weird at all; this is no different than lunchtime back home.

Time to dive in and drink up~! Enjoy watching a Caterpie sticking her head into the cup and slurping on this delicious lemonade.]

[Wow, how do you do that? That's kind of impressive!]

[lunchleader]

[Creeper giggles a little as she comes up for air. She stands on her back legs to show how much taller she is than the cup. It's a simple matter of using one's brain, in this case!

...but as she goes back to drinking it, she's slowly shoving more and more of herself into the cup in order to get at the ever-decreasing level of lemonade in said cup. Which in turn is starting to put pressure on one side of the cup.

...she may not have fully thought this through...]
