[ meet Teasel, everyone - the new addition to the Baggins household, and a right royal pest. first it was Bilbo's spoons. then anything else in the house that was shiny and not nailed down. by this point, she's built a nice little overly shiny nest for herself, and you'd think that would be a good place to stop, locked in an eternal tug-of-war with her Trainer of put those back right now and finding new and more out-of-reach places to construct her nest of bling.

except no, instead she's taken to places further afield for feeding her shiny addiction. "places further afield" being "anywhere and everywhere in Union, nevermind whether or not the shiny things are junk or if they actually belong to someone else."

she's trying to be stealthy about it, for the most part. she doesn't want her fussy Trainer catching on to what she's up to, after all. but some of those shiny things are just too good to resist even if it means thieving a little bit more... well, publicly.

Union, you may or may not find items of yours suddenly missing, or catch a Murkrow shamelessly fleeing the scene of the crime! what do. ]

[ if Bilbo looks stressed in the warp band feed, that might be because he is. his face is in a deep-set frown, and he gives a deep sigh right before he starts speaking. ]

I think I owe quite a few people an apology for a certain somebody's antics over the past few days. [ he glares at something or someone off-screen before adjusting the warp band to reveal... well, a sizeable collection of shiny odds and ends piled on his kitchen table. ] Listen, I - I honestly have no idea who all of these things belong to, let alone how I'm supposed to return them, but if you do recognise anything, please, please let me know so I can get it back to its rightful owner. Again, I'm dreadfully sorry about all this. Won't happen again if I can help it.

[ at that, there's a sullen and only very slightly repentant cawing from off-screen... followed by the sound of breaking pottery, and the continued sound of squawking as Bilbo whirls around in its direction that almost sounds... melodic????. ]

[ while Teasel was also appreciating the warmer weather - it was good to feel some warmth on her feathers! - she was also using her perch in one of the trees as a strategic lookout point. the sun being out meant that shiny things were easier to spot, after all!

not that the sun needed to be out to spot this one. she'd never seen a shiny person before. could she...?

well, she loved a challenge. had any Murkrow in the forest ever stolen a shiny person before? she would bet not!

she takes off as quietly as possible before swooping down, trying to catch at the back of Lux's clothes with her claws. MINE. ]

[ Stopping to sleepily stretch her arms over her head, the blond became something of an easy target. Teasel might have to do some maneuvering to get around her hair--there was so much of it--but the Murkrow managed to hook something.

Feeling something land on her back and in her hair, the teenager screamed, flailing about and trying to reach for whatever it was, likely making even more of a mess of the whole situation. ]

[ more of a mess is right! Teasel squawks indignantly, already feeling like she's horribly misjudged this, but far too stubborn and persistent to give up so easily. she clings on to whatever she's managed to catch hold of - which probably does include some of Lux's hair - for deal life, flapping her wings and flailing about just as much as the teenager she's attached herself to. ]

J-just calm down for a second!

[ Says the girl who continues to carry on as if the sky is falling. Swinging her hand around her back, she tries to grab the bird and at least hold it still for just one second. You're going to knot her hair, then they would really have a problem. ]

[ surprisingly enough, this doesn't do much to make Teasel calm. she lets out another indignant squawk when Lux finally manages to grab ahold of her, one wing still flapping half-heartedly in an attempt to follow through with her badly-thought-through heist. ]

[ Okay you seriously need to stop, you're going to hurt yourself and pull out her hair. Neither of these things sound particularly appealing.

Bringing her arms behind her as best as she can, she tries to get Teasel to at least stop flapping around like a damned idiot. What are you even trying to do? ]

Oww! Really now! Cut it out, you're going to hurt yourself!

[ the flapping finally subsides, Teasel sullenly complying with what she's being told. darn it, and she was so sure she'd be able to pull this off too! why, oh why. note to self: shiny people are far too much trouble to be worth stealing. ]
