[After the expedition to the mountain, things had seemed to settle... at least for a moment. Levi had taken the time to come home, have a couple drinks and relax on his weekend off..... Wait a minute, of course he didn't get to do any of those things. That meant people didn't bother him or that people treated him like a normal person. Neither of those things ever happened.]

[Saturday A - Eren]

[Since their meeting during the Iron Mines debacle, Levi had begrudgingly found Eren in close proximity to him for some reason? They were assigned the same clean up duty, or the same post handing out blankets to civilians who had to evacuate their houses. For one reason or another, they had been close to each other and sad to say even started talking to one another. Not that Levi liked it or anything, baka. It had just been something to do, so he only felt it fair that once their hard week was over he go do something with the brat. Or whatever. Levi was pained to say it had been his idea that led them to end up on a roof of a building near the Pokemon Habitat with his Venipede, Bug, nearby on a lower ledge. After learning that Eren wasn't able to fly yet made it easier to admit he couldn't do it either.]

[So here they were. He's already transformed, all pink and grumpy and Murkrow-y.]

You gonna chicken out or what?

[Saturday B - Erwin]

[After his ordeal with Eren, he heads home to the small apartment he shared with the Commanding Officer of the Scouting Legion Ranger Division, Erwin Smith, and their Pokemon. Big titles, not that Levi gave a shit. After being arrested in his thug days, Erwin had been the one to help him out and take him in under his wing, so to speak. They'd lived together since Levi had been released into the Guard's care. He comes in through the door, a bag from a nearby shop in one hand and Bug at his heels, narrowly missing him when he kicks the door shut and slides the bolt closed.]

Erwin?

[He comes into the little kitchen, spotless of course, and sets down his bag.]

Eeeerwiiiiin... I brought shit for dinner, you here?


[Sunday C - Everyone]

[It seems Levi has finally gotten some peace and quiet. He's in a park near the Pokemon Habitat again, but this time he's alone. He's lounging back on a tree swing put in by the recreations office and hogging the whole thing to himself. He may or may not have dozed off while trying to read the newspaper, which is fallen down against his legs. Bug is resting on his chest, cleaning him a little but only managing to get a gooey bug spot on his friend's nice shirt. Levi's free to talk to, if you dare wake him up....]

He chews on it and accidentally ingests the bits. "Eats" implies a level of deliberate action that I don't think Gunsmoke is capable of.

[Gunsmoke hears his name and waddles into the kitchen, gazing hungrily -- not at the fish, but at Bug -- and drooling. With two Pokemon, Levi and Erwin's hulking broad-shouldered form, there's barely enough room to move in the tiny kitchen.]

Requisition forms, mostly. I'm planning a small team expedition to the shore.

[Bug glares down at Gunsmoke from where he's settled on the table, making a nice buggy smear on the nice checkered table cloth Erwin insisted on buying because he's old and probably senile. Levi hands Erwin the spatula despite his early onset Dementia.]

Here, we can't move around so you finish it.

[And he promptly shifts into his pink birdy form and perches on Erwin's stupid broad shoulder to dictate how to properly cook the food.]

[Gunsmoke is so happii Bug is acknowledge! Bug is fri...endsfood??/ fOOD?1! NO BUG IS tabbelcloss nomnoMNOMNom. Gunsmoke is a special special Pokemon.

Erwin looks at the spatula with mild alarm, as his manly hands were made for saving lives and catching swooning babes, not domesticity, what. But Heikrow is here to guide him, so he'll absently poke at the fish.]

We could move. Get a bigger house at the top of a tower...but I know you just got the carpet worn in how you like it.

[springcleaning]

[In a daring move... Bug will jump down onto Gunsmoke's back for a ride!]

Like shit I wanna live with all those nasty rich people. Can you imagine?

[He flaps his wings irritably, preening a little right next to Erwin's ear before going back to watching him cook.]

[Gunsmoke basically does this. Sorry, Bug.

Erwin just steps over his catatonic Pokemon, reaching for the pepper. He likes spicy food.] I could, actually, but it's not a very flattering mental image.

[springcleaning]

[Bug flails and smacks into the front of the stove between Erwin's legs. He's fine though, he's pretty squishy. He scuttles over to Gunsmoke in rage, crawling on top of his limp body.]

[Levi snorts.]

You use that much pepper we're gonna have flaming shits for weeks.

[Gunsmoke is not here, Gunsmoke has left the building, Gunsmoke is in his happy place. Gunsmoke is also drooling all over the floor.]

I like my food to actually taste of something. [But he'll hold back on the pepper, free hand absently coming up to pet at Levi's feathers. He knows he's risking a bitten finger, but so soft.]

[springcleaning]

[Why did they both pick Pokemon that ooze. Bug settles in for his own nap, because Gunsmoke is warm fluffy Fire Pokemon, his own (mostly harmless) toxic goop drooling from his stingers.]

[Erwin is lucky today, and Levi lets him pet his soft down feathers. But only because he's cooking dinner, it's a thank you. Feel grateful, old man.]

[Because Erwin has two soft squishy spots: one for Levi (and his butt lbr) and one for his gross gooey special Gunsmoke. And he'll take advantage of this momentous occasion to pay more attention to petting soft fluffy Heikrow feathers than to cooking.]

I have a couple off-days coming up. I was thinking we could take a trip, to the shore, stock up on free fish. [Because they are most romantic ones.]

[springcleaning]

Fishing?

[Heikrow feathers are top of the line. Levi keeps himself so clean his feathers are always soft and smooth. He does peck Erwin in the ear when the fish starts smoking.]

You're ruinin' it, asshole!

Mmm-hm. Fishing...and investigation. Our knowledge of the coastline is still woefully inadequate, so a trip would kill two bir-- erm. It would serve a dual purpose.

[Erwin hisses softly in pain, but he does return his attention to the fish, flipping it just in time.] A simple "mind the food" would suffice.

[springcleaning]

[His talons grip a little tighter at Erwin's shoulder, but he doesn't use the idiom so he relents. Just a little.]

Fine, but you can't sit around mapping all day that's boring.

[So difficult to keep from using bird-related cliches. Levi gave him the cold shoulder for a week when he caught Erwin singing the "four and twenty Pidgey's, baked in a pie" song.]

When do I do things like that? I'm plenty exciting.

[springcleaning]

[Bird related things are delicate. Levi adjusts himself on Erwin's shoulder, careful not to poke holes in his good shirt.]

If my exciting you mean sittin' in your dumb office drawing pictures and putting stamps on things.

They aren't pictures, they are diagrams.

[Erwin pokes at the fish, skewering a tiny piece and offering it to Levi, since his own tastebuds are pretty much dead and everything tastes the same to him.]

They're dumb.

[He snaps up the bite of food with his beak, not really able to chew like this. The flavor tastes good on his tongue though, before he... Rocks his head back and jerks his beak around until the meat slides down his gullet with a loud gulping slimy noise.]

Tastes done to me.

Mmmm, yes, yes.

[Erwin is distracted by his cooking triumph -- he made a food!! -- and only spares Levi a weary "why must you?" sort of look as he transfers the fish to a platter.] Make sure Gunsmoke isn't on the table, will you?

[Spoiler alert: he is.]

[Levi flutters off his shoulder to the older side of the table, where he transforms back to human and promptly takes a hold of the tablecloth and lifts it up until Gunsmoke rolls off of it onto the floor. Then he smooths it out neatly once again.]

Ready and waiting, boss.

[Excuse you, Levi, you know what the B word does to Erwin. It makes him feel all commander-ly and manly and there is fish to eat and it's almost bedtime, so don't be so distracting. He'll obligingly set down the platter of fish and a couple plates and forks, then attempt to squish Levi in a totally-platonic-roommate-y embrace.

Also he needs a shower, so enjoy his fishy man smell.]

[springcleaning]

[GROSS. Levi will push against his weight stubbornly, grumbling as he pulls his plate away from Bug, who attempts to gnaw on it. The plate, not the fish. Bugs don't eat fish.]

You fuckin' stink. Get off.

[Nooooo, kissu~ Erwin groans, all petulance -- he has worked hard, Levi, and he just wants to grab ur butt rn -- but he pulls away and sits down with a thunk.]

Bug, no. [There's absolutely no conviction in it, because Erwin is the ultimate softie when it comes to their Pokemon roommates.]

[springcleaning]

[Bug is also petulant, and scuttles over to chew Erwin's plate instead.]

Don't whine, you sound like a baby.

I was sighing.

[Bug gets petted and allowed to plate-nom. Take that, Levi. Humanity's most passive-aggressive.] How's the fish?

[springcleaning]

I like it. S'good with a little char.

[Levi sees his passive aggressiveness and raises him one whole chair scoot away from Erwin's.]

Always tastes better fresh though.

[Why are you afraid of love, Levi? Erwin's going to nom in silence for a moment, then stretch out a foot and nudge Levi's chair, just enough to make it rock a little.]
