[The video is kind of hazy at first. Likely because who ever is handling the warp band is not accustomed to such devices. Also, they appear to be very close to the ground. After a moment it focuses on a young man, sitting on the edge of a fountain near one of the more busiest areas of Union.]

--getting here was the hard part. I need work but I don't have any of my gear on me. Not that I could set up a darkroom in the park or anything. We definitely need somewhere to sleep tonight.

[A loud frustrated sigh.]

Goro, what do you th-- [And that's when he realizes his pokemon friend is up to no good. His eyes go wide and his face goes pale.]

[Anyone understanding Pokespeak will hear a Cubone who doesn't sound even a little bit sorry. You wanted help, so I helped! Now a lot of people will know you're looking for work! You should be thanking me!.]

[Hayato is not gifted in understanding Pokemon so he just gives him a flat look, probably guessing what he was probably saying and then reaching for the warp band. Goro drops it and scurries away. He'll appear proper on the warp band now with a slight twitch.]

...That was not the introduction I wanted to make to Union, but someone took it upon themselves to do it anyway. Ah- sorry anyone who was watching that. Since I'm already here, I'll just say it.

[He puts on a friendly smile this time.] My name's Hayato and I just came to town. I'm looking for work and maybe a place to sleep. I'm a photographer by trade but right now all I need is something to get by until I can buy new equipment.

I usually publish under my last name so if you've seen my work it would have been under 'Ichimonji'. I admit that I didn't get a lot submitted before my equipment got destroyed, but I know at least a few got published. [He hopes anyway. He doesn't know, he's been gone this whole time.]

[But if Yuuna is a follower of Calderan photography, then she might know Ichimonji as that one photojournalist who's pictures are used in several police cases.]

[It's a passing interest, but the name rings a vague bell.]

I've heard the name a bit, but admittedly I'm an amateur. I've only had one photoset published, and that was back in July.

July, huh? I haven't been home in a long time so I might have missed it. I'd be interested in seeing it if you have it, though! [He just unabashedly loves photography, ok. He likes to see people get into it.]

Yeah. Some of them are still circulating. I was the one who got the photographs of the Fire God that attacked Citadel. Before he...uh...tried to set me on fire.

[She rubs the back of her head and reaches off screen to find one of the photos.]

[He can't help but laugh.]

No one ever said a photographer's job was easy! Sometimes you just have to almost get incinerated by angry gods.

[Okay, but it sure sounds like he missed a whole lot while Gigas had him. He was going to have to look into this.]

[He's totally peering forward in case she finds those photos, though.]

[She chuckles, but it's weak. That's almost uncomfortably close to the truth, let's be honest.]

Yeah, sometimes. Hopefully we don't have that problem repeat, though.

[And then she makes a sound of triumph, and the video is replaced by a photo of Heatran in all his 20 foot long glory. It's not super close up, but it's obvious the thing is huge.]

[He understands. This is the guy stepped out into a battlefield against Gigas. It didn't go entirely well for him either.]

[He leans so really all you can see is like his eye and nostril.]

Wow!! That's incredible! I hope you're really proud of that, because it looks like one in a million. [He's being completely genuine.]

... So tell me about this incident.

[Yuuna laughs when she sees that nostril and slowly lowers the photo, wondering if his eyes will track it.]

I am, it's still making the rounds with some of the newspapers. There are a few more shots, you should be able to find them in the library.

But you didn't hear about this at all? [Man, you must have been on the far side of the world] Have you heard about Citadel at all, yet, then?

[They do. Then he leans back finally.]

I'll keep that in mind.

[He pauses. Ah, he hasn't actually. The name isn't familiar.]

My last job put me out of commission for a while, so I've missed a lot of things.

[Maybe that was vague enough that she might not ask questions.]

[She'll make it a point to send him a copy then.]

Citadel, and Refuge then. They're other civilizations aside from Gigas and Caldera. Refuge is underground, to the southwest, and Citadel is to the northeast, across the Rolling Plains.

[A pause.]

It's basically a large tree with a collection of villages and tribes around the area. They're a matriarchy, and they were being attacked by this fire god. We're not sure exactly why, but he was just marching towards the great tree.

Huh. So what happened? Is Citadel still there or did the god call off its attack?

[How do you even fight a god is what he wants to know.]

We...mostly folks from Union and Caldera, drove it off.

[Stood in the path of a rampaging god and didn't flinch. Much. She made it flinch once though.]

It was Fire and Steel typed, and just like any Pokemon, it was definitely fightable.

[He grins.]

Impressive! Not many people can say they fought a god.

Yeah, well...I can't say I did it alone. Couple of friends were with me. And there were other groups too. It was a mess, really.

But the important thing is that he's gone and we're all alive.

It's not like anyone has a set way for you to confront gods. [Unless you're the Savior, he guesses.]

That's good.

Well anyway, what brings you to Union? Looking for new subjects?

You could say that. After being out of commission for so long, it felt only right to maybe see someplace new. Get a change of pace, if you would.

It looks like Union's already proved to surpass my expectations. It's a very interesting place.

I definitely understand that.

[She grins.]

Are you a trainer?

I don't know if I'd call myself a trainer, exactly, but-

[That's Hayato getting bonked in the head with Goro's bone.]

I seem to have acquired something on my way here.

[Wow, that's rude, Hayato. You should be happy he decided to follow your helpless butt!!!]

[She grins.]

Seems like someone's fond of you at least. Cubone are really, really loyal, too.

[Tapping her head she looks at the Pokemon.]

Take care of him, yeah?

[He and Goro spend a moment scrunching their faces at each other before Hayato looks back at the band.]
