[ As she often does, Melaka is in the Habitat, holding her and hers with training - specifically, today, it's a single elimination tournament with all of them. The babies, of course, are going to lose, but as long as they do their best, that's all she can hope for. So you might come across some duels of Melaka and/or any of her pokémon getting into some battles with each other! This might not be strictly organized and devolve into playing around and/or exhibition matches.

This will go on most of the day, and it'll be a sweat-making thing that anyone could walk in on, popcorn about, whatever. And it's later in the day when Melaka is on the warp band to, sweating something fierce, ]

Hey. Remember when there was that tournament when Team Evolution showed up the first time? What if we did something like that again?

[ She doesn't have the means to organize it, but there's a lot of rich people here, maybe they could. Or she can find some other people who really want to be made stronger. ]

They had a tournament here? I figured Union was too happy-go-lucky-friends-time with their Pokémon to do something organized like that.

Yeah, back when the Evo's the first other humans we encountered, they wanted to show their strength and we had to match it. Big tournament to find our best reps, and my man Feliks was the guy who aced it. Exhibition fight with Rory and everything.

Interesting. I guess those guys being so gung-ho about Battling inspired the locals to step up.

I'd be up for a tourney myself. I've been working on strategy a bit since we fought.

Had to do it myself to her before too. What was goin' on that day is I was making sure all mine got a bout in one of the matches that day, and I'm usually a straight shooting gal - get in and hit hard, take harder hits. The ones I tapped for you aren't like that though.

That's more of my style, with maybe some poison thrown in for flair. That, and hitting weaknesses the other guys didn't know they had.

Get enough people interested, find someone willing to judge, find money, rent out a space. Could do it out the Wall, but that might attract wild ones.

Ok I guess the first thing we would need is the interest. I guess contacting everyone else in Union might be a good way of starting. We could ask people individually if they would like to participate in any way, right? And for money... a fundraiser? I don't really know how they work but I've read about them before.

Or a sponsor. Get one noble who has access to the bank in on the project, bam, we've got our funding. Could go through the council or get some other Organization to do it, but I'm no public face here. Other than that, yeah, it's getting word around.

We could ask the nobles what they think of it. You could make it some kind of show for them or something.

[Well that question could mean a lot of things. For some kind of prize? For fun? What would the prize be? Or what's the point of having one? Or what kind of tournament??
