Studying old records has led me to believe there are some untouched pockets of old tech in the Old City that have been allowed to go unexplored because of large numbers of hostile pokemon hanging around them. I wouldn't be surprised if there was something in the old caches that was CAUSING them to be more hostile, but there's no way to find out without looking for ourselves.

Unfortunately, I'm not a delver, and I can't levitate with my mind or shoot fireballs from my eyes like some enlightened can. I want to get down there, though, so I'm proposing mounting an expedition. What one man cannot do on his own, many others working together will have no difficulty with.

[He brings out a map of the Old City and points to three red circles in a relatively small area of it.]

The caches are here, here, and here. I'd want some other engineers and probably a few delvers, plus anyone who can fight or carry heavy things around. Who's interested in advancing the cause of SCIENCE!?

I graduated early, at the top of my class, and have been working with the Seekers since their offices opened in Union. And before that, I was going along with Ezreal on various expeditions, so I have a bit of experience.

Not a Delver, but I've been down there a few times before. Wouldn't mind heading down again, especially if there's likely to be something especially interesting to find.

Delvers go down there all the time anyway. What would you bring to the table, then?

Another set of eyes that can tell if the tech we found is more likely to be a data storage device or a novelty toaster. Got some useful Pokémon and I can get into anything metal easily. And there's a good chance that if something goes horribly wrong I can survive to tell people of your brave final stand.

The whole point of this endeavor is to get people who don't have field experience a chance to get a first hand look at the more dangerous parts of the Old City.

It's been a long time since I've been down into the Old City. I think it's time I pay the ruins a visit again.

Hmm, yes that would be a risk in an unstable environment like that. Maybe if I made some kind of automated structural support reinforcement system...

And how would you set it up in the entirety of Old City? Even we don't know how deep it gets.

Not if I made it a mobile and deployable system! Yes, it's hard to imagine how ANYONE would dare go through such unstable locations without some kind of portable support system!
