[ A rare sight, Cordelia could be found around the Swords headquarters instead of her usual haunts. Acting as an observer, the lady knight stayed on the sidelines, watching new recruits--or, if approached, answer questions from the new recruits. It wasn't her place to guide anyone here, but her reputation proceeded her, even after being away for quite some time.

Any training that she might do would be left for later in the evening, once most of the Swords had finished for the day. Her spear was as sharp as ever, movements swift, straight-forward and true, as she went to town. But, more than that, there was a certain desperation that hadn't been there until just recently; something had changed in the last few weeks. ]

[VOICE]

This is Cordelia. In light of recent events, I am offering my services as a former Sword of the Savior to anyone who feels they may need it. My expertise is with a spear, however I should be able to assist in other areas of combat as well. While we may have been able to solve the Enhanced issue peacefully, we can not assume that every situation will prove nearly as successful.

[VOICE; TO KUZURYUU]

[ All the more tempting. Still, she had her figure to think about. Cordelia took one, taking a bite and blinking a few times. ]

These are delicious. Where did you get them?

A small bakery that happened to catch my eye on the way here. A family business unless I miss my mark.

[ She hesitated, her tone sounding a bit wistful. ]

I'll admit, I have missed it here.

[ A nod. ]

Do I detect a twinge of regret, dear heart?

[ She hesitates. ]

...Perhaps. I am not sure that I could allow myself to return, however.

And why's that?

I am not sure that I have proven myself yet, especially after the situation in the Mountains. Fuyuhiko could have very easily died, and I was powerless to stop it. I was willing to let the Enhanced girl die, if it would guarantee our safety.

Is that not the duty of a leader, though, to make those hard decisions? That is the charge of any Sword.

[ Cordelia looks surprised, then, all at once, smiles at him warmly. ]

I don't deserve such kind words. Even still...

[ She looks out toward the yard. ]

Perhaps it is time I stop living in the past.

As one who remembers nothing of his own past I'm not in a particularly strong position to offer advice, but being shackled by one's past is not a life I wish for anyone, most of all you.

Work with the Rangers has been slowing down of late. Although that would mean that I would not see you nearly as often.

In truth I've been looking at doing some work for the Swords as well, so perhaps not as rarely as you might think.

[ You may have just made her day, Robin. ]

You should, I know that your help would be much appreciated, both on the training grounds as well as in battle.

I imagine the experience will be enriching. The Swords are a renowned unit and it would be an honor to work with them.
