Hello, everyone! Now that things are starting to calm down again, I've got a favor to ask of anyone willing to help me out.

You see, I've got a couple of Pokémon that only evolve via trading, and until now, I've been too busy to see to that myself. So, now that I have some free time, I'd like some help in evolving these Pokémon. In exchange...well, just let me know if there's anything I can do for you. If not, I'd be happy to pay you for your time.

That's all for now. Enjoy some rest -- you all have earned it.

Well, I'm looking for someone to help put together some protective gear. Are you any good with that sort of stuff? Not...armor, technically, but tougher clothing?

Oh, certainly. I'll need some time to work on it, but that's well within my capability to do. I'll just need a couple of weeks to get it done.

[Jayce gives her his address, then bids farewell to the conversation and starts tinkering away at stuff for an hour.]

[And an hour or so later there's a knock on the door.]

[Jayce opens the door with a smile on his face.]

Welcome. Come on in. Tea?

[Once Yuuna is inside, Jayce closes the door. They're in a very cushy living room right now, with top-of-the-line furniture.]

Um. Alright.

[She steps in, an Eevee and Gallade trailing behind her.]

Nice place. You must have a fancy government contract.

Not so much. Most of my money these days is royalties from patents.

[He walks into the kitchen, then out two minutes later with two mugs of fresh tea.]

Need cream and sugar?

Nah, thanks though.

[She shrugs and takes the cup.]

Sorry you spent the effort to make those gizmos, though. I probably should make myself available for trading more often.

[Jayce takes his own mug and adds a bit of cream and sugar to his. He's used to drinking coffee, so it's a habit.]

Ah, no big deal. One of them is a Metal Coat, so I can still use that outside of evolution. And I've got plenty of Steel-type Pokémon already.

Fair enough. Whenever you're ready to get started, I've got a willing subject.

[The Eevee purrs happily, walking right up to Jayce and looking up at him with those baby doll eyes of hers.]

[Jayce slowly reaches down to gently pet the Eevee's head.]

All right. I've got the first candidate right here.

[Jayce's Warp Band releases a flash of light. When it dies down, a Porygon can be sitting on the coffee table.]

Now, if I'm not mistaken, Porygon can evolve twice. Can you prompt both of those?

[She looks at the Pokemon with an odd expression.]

Twice? I didn't know that. But I guess I probably can? I don't know, though. I didn't know it evolved more than once. I've got the disc for mine to upgrade itself, but I'm not letting it just yet. I'm saving that for a rainy day.

The blueprints I've seen of devices retrieved from Old City as well as some of the technology we've obtained from elsewhere indicate that it can. The second evolution requires an item called a Dubious Disc. Porygon has fascinated me for quite some time, so I'd love to see the extent to which it's capable of growing.

Then let's give it a try. If yours is ready for that, then we'll see how things go.

All right. Got your Warp Band ready?

[Jayce lifts his own and gets it ready for a trade.]

[She raises her wrist and flips it over to go.]

Then let's make progress!

[Jayce inputs the trade commands. Once Yuuna accepts, she'll be receiving Baer, Jayce's Porygon.]

Yep.

[She taps the button and swaps Baer for Teki. The Eevee seems alright with this, knowing it's temporary, after all...]

[And Jayce confirms the swap. There's a notification on Yuuna's Warp Band that Baer is evolving, and then the screen changes to show Baer evolving into a Porygon2.]

Did it work?

[She looks at the Porygon2 and nods.]

I'd say so. He looks...different.

Great! Sounds like it worked. Now, how does your ability work? Can you use it right here and now?

Trade me again. If he wants to evolve, he will.
