Anyone who can understand Pokéspeak is subjected to one excited and proud Roselia, going on and on and on about her baby hatched and look at how handsome he is and how he's going to be a Important and he's so smart already and Martin had to send Tiria to the shops and get maps for him because her baby Boldred wants maps.]

It's not even nine o'clock in the morning. Most people are still asleep.

[They shouldn't be.]

Yes, dear. [He laughs and brings the Warp Band to focus on him] Sorry about that. Yuuna, the Egg has hatched. And while I have a video for it, should anyone be looking for me I've been in the medical center for the last day or two will be here for the next few days. I wasn't hurt or anything, but the pressure of the spirits in the Old City caused me to pass out. It's just precautionary. --Laterose!

I am apparently his hero, which is admittedly a little awkward since...well, you know me. But he's a good kid. He'll go far.

Unerring, from what we can tell. He gets left and right confused but he understand east and west just fine.

Well he's still a baby, and he doesn't have arms yet.

[Speaking of arms, a Budew nub starts rubbing against her cheek. Hello, mom! Who are you talking to?]

This one is...about as touchy-feely as Laterose, honestly.

[He laughs]

Laterose is just pushy. Does he like to ride on shoulders?

[She nods.]

Mine and Hiroshi's. Mostly Hiroshi's.

Laterose loves doing that, especially before she evolved. She also likes to poison people who annoy her, so watch out for that.

Well good thing Hiroshi is difficult to poison. But she's done nothing of the sort with me so far. If anything she's spent more time cuddling with most of my Pokemon.

That's good. What have you named her?

Barako. [Yuuna smiles faintly.] Rose-Child in an old language.

Bara, for short, though.

That's a pretty name. It fits.

I thought so. I'm actually interested to see if she can evolve further than Laterose. Most of the Pokemon from the forest, the grass types at least, seem to be able to. Oddish to Vileplume, Bellsprout to Victreebell and all, but I don't think I've seen Budew do that.

Laterose says she knew a...Roserade? Back in the forest. But she has no idea if they're even of the same family, let alone how to evolve into one.

Roserade, huh? I haven't seen one. So, I'll see how it goes. If it's possible for it to evolve, I'll manage it. [Complete confidence there.] That is, after all, my gift.

I'll keep a look out for anything that might be an evolution of Roselia as well. Maybe they need stones.

Given the general way those lines work? Yes, it's probably that. Oddish, Bellsprout, and Seedot do, anyway.

We've time to figure it out.

Yep. I'll probably be by later today, to check up on you and let the kids get acquainted. I'm pretty much taking the next two weeks off after that mess in the swamp. The fight may have been over in one punch, but man that Gino guy is a piece of work.
