[ So Salvation has come and gone, she's had her time with her sister, things have moved on - but Melaka, who has gotten in the habit of checking Union's TM slot now and again after she realized that as a Ranger / as a trainer she gets free access to it... found a new one she didn't recognize there. She taught it to one of hers (specifically, she taught it to her creepy Drowzee, Guide) and she went around experimenting with this new Secret Power. And lo and behold, as she did, she found that it could make pocket spaces in rocks. And trees.

Secret Bases.

Not sure what to make of this, Melaka now is going around the city seeing if she can figure out the rules for it (it does seem she can only make one at a time) and seeing if she can find some one with a particularly cool interior. But the result is that Melaka and an collection of Pokémon (her old tried and true Toxicroak, Lurks, as well as a somewhat anxious looking Druddigon and the ever floating Guide) are testing out new locations!

Is it in this tree next to your house? This rock on the corner? She'll try out of the city eventually too, but for right now, this is kind of fun. So if you saw her appearing into a hole in a tree or something after the Drowzee's eyes flashed, that's why.

Miss Melaka?

[There is probably a perfectly good reason why there's suddenly a giant hole in the middle of a tree on his way between home and the Medical Center, right.]

[ and a good reason a giant dragon's head is poking out of it even though he shouldn't be able to fit in it ]

Testing out a new move! You saw Salvation brought us a new TM, right?

Is it... the Giant Hole Creator move?

Actually no. It kinda makes a flash of light and can do some other stuff but- No, this is spinned out, come on!

[ And she makes to grab Lucas by the ear or the hair or whatever works best to get him up to the door of the hole here, to peek his head in to the much larger space inside ]

Oh - ow.

[Lucas does not protest too much and duly allows himself to be dragged into the hole created by the Giant Hole Creator m -- ]

W-What...?!

[He pulls his head back and stares at the tree for a moment.]

How is that possible?!

How should I know? [ But it's cool, right? As she got him in there, Marina the Druddigon backed in herself, so there's a full size dragon who seems to be surveying the space as an art studio. And there's plenty of space besides...

Okay it's not huge, but it is bigger than Melaka's current apartment. She leans against the wall (which seems to be made of wood and leaves ] Maybe it's a dream world.

I'm pretty sure I'm still awake.

[He'll just prod himself a few times to make sure of this.]

...Gosh. This is really something. Can I look around?

[It feels weird to be asking permission to walk around the inside of a tree, but...]

[ She herself adjusts her jacket and decides to keep herself in step behind him. She meant the Dream World, but she doesn't explain that. At least not yet ]

Pokemon sure are amazing.

There's no way to explain something like this, is there? I mean... what sort of science is involved to make something bigger on the inside than the outside?

I've been opening up a lot all over town, but I guess Guide can only keep one at a time.

Great. Oh, actually, you could use it to set up a field base outside the city too, couldn't you? There's a lot of possibility here, and she looks pensive for a moment as she thinks on it ]

There are some bigger trees out in the forest if you don't mind being out away from Union.

That's an idea, actually. Could make some base camp out for a Ranging mission.

Ooh, right! Or maybe somewhere close to a place where you like to visit a lot so you have somewhere to go to if you need a rest.

[Though it may be hard to drag furniture there...]

I wonder how safe these places are? Can wild Pokemon get in when you're inside?

No idea. Wonder if I can have Guide try and shut you out of it.

[And being the polite and gracious person he is, Lucas will boot himself out of Melaka's Secret Base.]

[ And with that, Melaka and her pokémon, including the floating Drowzee hang out here inside. And with a nod to the psychic type, the tapir looking thing tries to shut the secret base out to Lucas. But will it work?! ~~idk what even are the mechanics there~~ ]

And try as he might, Lucas finds himself facing nothing but a normal tree with nothing terribly interesting about it. After a walk around, he even half-forgets where the hole was in the first place.]

[Unless, of course, someone wants to do a thread with invading Pokemon in which case it is fine.]

[ And after, oh, three minutes, Melaka decides that She will just try to walk out herself. So she goes to the door, and she peeks her head out to check on Lucas. You there? Is the hole back? ]

[Of course, he had been expecting it, but it's still very strange to see a floating head sticking out of a tree.]

...It works. Blocking off the entrance. It probably wouldn't be very useful otherwise, what with wild Pokemon moving in.

Oh, cool. So can you see in?

[ She take this moment to step outside herself, see if she can see in now that she's so longer inside. Let's assess ]

[So long as her Pokemon is intent on keeping it closed, Lucas won't see much of anything. Melaka might, though, given that it's hers.]
