[ Hello, Union! It's just another cold winter day here. Nothing out of the ordinary.... and suddenly, there's a blip on the network and on the other end happens to be one Usagi Tsukino. She looks rather relieved, despite the fact that she has mud and leaves in her hair. ]

Oh thank goodness! It's fixed-- ah! Hey!

[ The camera then fumbles, catching a glimpse of full of a baby Rhyhorn sniffing at the camera and opening its mouth to give the warp band a big huge lick. It doesn't get to though, as Usagi snatches up the warp band and she looks like she's about to put it on her wrist, but once glance behind her has her rethinking a new course of action. ]

No, Skittles. The last time you did anything to my warp band, you broke it!

Fairy.

[ It's then that Pinky, Usagi's loyal and fantastic Clefairy, takes hold of the warp band and makes sure to angle it so that it's Usagi's upper body that's shown. .... although, wait. There seems to be someone right next to Usagi? But the video feed is angled enough that only a little part of the profile is scene ~~although let's be real here. What little profile that's in the shot can give anyone who has eyeballs can tell it's Haruka Tenoh.~~ ]

Ah, thanks, Pinky. So, um, hi guys! I.. uh... have a quick question. Has anyone.. uh... ever had a pokemon that refused to let go of something? Like, refused to the point of not caring if it gets hurt as long as it stays attached?

Any help would be really really really great. [ Pause. That might be a tiny look of desperation on her face. ] Thanks!

I only got that for her on New Year's. I already need to replace it.

Where'd you get it? I might have to buy some for my pokemon!

I found it at a shop near the Habitat. It wasn't a very popular one, according to the clerk, but Sunflash loved it.

Really? That's awesome! I didn't even know that there was a shop that close by. Maybe getting a plush will help with my problem....

[Izanagi nosed the band as well. Isn't this the girl who doesn't know Stranger Danger?]

[ A familiar face! Oh, and hi Izanagi! The two of you get a wave from Usagi before she glances to her side hesitantly. ]

I, uh... well, you see..... it's kind of embarassing to say...

[ So, instead of saying anything, Usagi just motions to Pinky and the Clefairy moves the warp band feed to show a Goomy that has attached itself to Usagi and Haruka's wrist. ]

[Oh...they're a clinger huh.]

Is it okay to talk to them?

Sure! ... Maybe you'll have more luck than we have.

[ Usagi takes the warp band with her free hand and places it close to the Goomy who just wiggles its feelers in greeting. ]

[So it was this little guy causing an issue. Best to be gentle with it as he speaks to the Goomy.]

Hey there, what's the matter?

It wasn't my fault this time, I swear! .... I mean sure, I accidentally ended up in the north part of swampy wet place while coming home, but other wise I wasn't trying to provoke anyone or anything!

[ She.... doesn't really have to do anything to attract bad things to her. It hasn't really sunk in yet. ]

I'm sure you weren't. But I would still like to know what happened... and why Haruka-san is there? [As the Analyst of the group, Haruka's presence did not go unseen.]

Ah, well... I was heading home from the Citadel cause my warp band broke and I met a new pokemon friend on the way down...

[ Usagi looks just a trite hesitant to go on because of who she's with, but, Ami did ask... ]

Then Haruka-san showed up out of nowhere and found me! But, then she started scolding me and then the next thing I knew, this little guy down here [ Cue the Goomy being shown on the warp band. ] had wrapped itself around our wrists and now it won't let go...

How interesting... perhaps the Goomy felt that the scolding implied something else and is endeavoring to smooth things between the two of you.

That said, I've never heard of a Goomy doing such a thing. Perhaps it is expecting Haruka-san to apologize since it may have misconstrued the situation to be a volatile and unfriendly one.

Refused to let go? For... what?

[ Pinky is an excellent cameramon. The moment Minako asks, she tilts the camera forward just enough to show the Goomy wrapped ever so perfectly around Haruka and Usagi's wrists. ]

This pokemon won't let go of us...

[ Any other day, Usagi might gloat because she's with Haruka, but today has just been problem after problem.... ]

[Minako's eyes got wide.]

Oh no! Why is it doing that?

Usagi-chan? Haruka-san...?

[What. The. Fuck.]

[ OH BEST FRIEND. YOU ARE A SIGHT FOR SORE EYES. Behold! As your leader starts wibbling in an attempt to... well... vent.

It's been a very long day for her on all sorts of stress levels. ]

[Rei blinks at the video feed, completely at a loss now.]

You...have a Goomy. And you have a Goomy that's stuck to your hand. And Haruka-san's hand?

We've been stuck like this for hours! He's really stubborn!

[ omg best friend please help. ]

Can you let me talk to him?

[Rei is very, very, confused. Usagi why do you have a Goomy. And why is it stuck to Haruka?]

Yeah, of course!

[ Anything for Rei. Because, if there's anyone she knows that could possibly help, it's the priestess. So, Pinky relinquishes the warp band to Usagi as she places it near the Goomy. ]

Goomy, why are you not letting go of Usagi-chan? It's not very nice, you know.

[Thanks Pinky. You're a bro. So what do you have to say for yourself, Goomy?]

[ Haruka doesn't understand. How could this happen to her? She's made her mistakes, got nowhere to run. The night goes on and she's fading away.

...Okay, things aren't quite that bad, but her brain is still having trouble processing reality. Reality is just too ~~goomy~~ goofy for that.

She's walking briskly down the street, Goomyed to Usagi's wrist and, depending on Usagi's pace, basically dragging the girl behind her. ] Don't slack off.

[ If they get to the Habitat, there will be lots of other Pokémon (in a controlled environment - heading back to Union only sounded like a good idea because she and Usagi would be sitting ducks in the wild). Maybe something there can talk or scare Goomy off her wrist. ]

[ Why yes, Usagi's practically been dragged around the majority of the hike back to Union. Whether it was because Haruka has a larger stride, or because she was a flying type, Usagi couldn't very well keep up and really the only reason she's able to is because the Goomy is so intent on keeping them together that she has no choice. ]

I-I'm not slacking off!

[ She's not even given a chance to do that. ]

But, can't we slow down? We're not out in the forest anymore! Where are we going in such a rush?!

Save your breath. [ One woman's rush is another woman's Mission Walk, apparently.

Haruka sighs. This is ridiculous. If this is the kind of thing she can expect from Usagi, she was an idiot to think this girl could ever be a leader. There must be some sort of mistake. She won't accept it. She can save the world even without the others' help. That's right. As long as she has Michiru....no, even if she had to stand up to the gods alone....Haruka will protect humanity....

God, short people are slow. She yanks on the poor Goomy. What is your deal, little buddy. Jeez. ] We can't save the world like this....

[ The yank pulls both her and the Goomy forward. Usagi manages to keep herself from tripping over her face, but, it seems that this is really the final straw that breaks the Camerupt's back. ]

Wait...

[ And with a deep breath, Usagi finally places all her weight on her front foot and yanks with as much strength as she can muster on both the Goomy and Haruka's wrist. ]

I said WAIT!

[ That works. Haruka waits.

Or more, she stops moving, blinks, and then turns around to look at Usagi, her expression blank but expectant. Okay, she waited. Now what? ]

What isn't it letting go...?

A person! ... well, people. Okay, not just any people but...

[ Have a nice little camera tilt where the goomy is perfectly situated around Usagi and Haruka's wrists. ]

This little guy won't let us go...

I see...

And nothing has worked?

Outside of actually hurting the poor thing, it hasn't budged at all.

Have you tried... scaring it, just a bit?

[Have one thoughtful looking pink-haired ~~brat~~ child answering

I don't think I've ever had something like that happen...

[The thoughtful look changes to an unsure smile]

I haven't either! I'm kind of glad it's not my writing hand but still....

[ Wait, this little ~~spore~~ kid knew her name? For now, the slimy situation she's in takes a back seat and Usagi just stares back at the little girl. ]

Yeah! That's me. Usagi Tsukino! [ Who was this? Why did they look familiar? ] Do I know you? You look familiar...

That's cause we're cousins! I've been out for ages and ages with Mama and Papa, so you probably don't remember me. But Mama says she wants to visit with your family while we're here.

[Have a semi-concerned Makoto, Usagi.]

Usagi-chan? Is that...Haruka-san with you? What's happened?

[ Usagi looks so elated that Makoto is back from ... whatever it is she had been doing. She's about to open her mouth to ask how she's been and ~~when her next meal is going to be~~ what she's been doing, but the inquiry about her current status with Haruka is brought back to the fore front. ]

Nothing really bad! I promise! We're kind of in a little bit of a pinch here...

[ Slowly, Pinky shows off the Goomy that refuses to let go of Haruka and Usagi's wrist. Usagi reaches over to play with one of the head tendrils that seems to wobble happily at getting positive attention. ]

Nothing we do seems to work on getting him off, but I don't want to hurt or upset him!

[Makoto is really glad to be back, okay? ~~And feedings will begin once she figures out what it is that you've done while she was busy, Usagi-chan.~~

She takes a good look at the situation and frowns.]

Oh, yeah, that seems pretty...sticky there. Razor Leaf would help, and Usato would be good for that, but it'd probably hurt that Goomy.

I don't want to hurt him! I mean, it's not like he's trying to hurt us or anything, so I don't think that'd be fair to use that to try and get him to come off.

[ Typical Usagi, trying to be fair and not resort to violence when she can. ]

... wait, who's Usato? Did you make a new friend too?!

[ ... oh, she's getting distracted. Also a typical Usagi move. ]

Well, I don't want to hurt him either, but you and Haruka-san can't stay stuck together, can you?

[Michiru would probably get a little jealous.]

Usato's my new Chikorita.

[At the sound of his name, Usato comes up and puts his little face in view of the Warp Band.] Riiiiii!

Rei-chan helped me get him.

[....ah.]
