[Is that Ami in a medic coat? Why yes, yes it is. Guess who is a brand new medic in Union? But the girl genius is currently being cuddled by a Lapras and smiles, trying to gently nudge the Lapras away though honestly not trying too hard.]
I hope any of the students I tutor had a wonderful Salvation day and winter holidays. We'll have to discuss new tutoring schedules as my own has become very busy of late. [Being a medic will do that.]
I also want to thank everyone who was more than willing to help me before and let you know that the distraction that I provided myself was a success in keeping me completely engaged.
I wish everyone returning to class the very best in your studies and would also like to offer my tutoring services at this time as well.

I'm not as good as you, but I do try. [Most of the time.] Some things are just easier than others.

You don't have to be as good as me, Makoto-chan, you just have to do your best. Your best is all anyone can ask for, and if you do that, than there is no sense in worrying. I merely provide you the tools and means that allow you to do that. After all, at the end of the day, it's you taking the test, not me.
And that applies to everyone and everything, Makoto-chan. I could never achieve the delicacies you are able to create. I could follow a recipe, certainly, but it takes true skill and talent to make it delicious with an incredible presentation. Please do not think that simply because I do well in school that you lack incredible talents.

Yeah, I know I'm the one who has to take the test. I kinda wish you'd take one for me, but I guess that wouldn't do me any good in the long run, right?
[A grade higher than a 80 would be nice though.]
But cooking's fun, so I don't really think about what I'm doing. My hands just sorta already know.

That won't do you much good. Besides, you're very smart, Makoto-chan. [Actually.... hmmm....]
Just think of each fact as a part of a recipe. Take, for example, a math equation: The end result, or product is like the finished product of a cake. The steps leading up to the result is how you solve or cook it and the numbers are your ingredients.
[She had to wonder if this would work, but hey, if it did, then she would adjust her tutoring as needed.]

But, that makes some sort of sense to her, the whole recipe analogy.]
Hm, and I guess those ones you have to find the mystery number's value is like a recipe with an ingredient left out.
[Tricksty little friend.]

It helps when you eventually get to calculus.
