Who: Luke and Everyone
Where: Around Union
When: 12/31 and Ongoing
What: Action + Video Post
[Action]
[It's been a few weeks since Luke's been home, and he's only now felt the urge to leave. For the most part, he and his brother have been patched up and regained their strength from their time out in the wastes, so Luke is itching to leave the manor. Maybe not the city, not yet (or ever, as far as his parents are concerned,) but the manor had always been stifling to the younger twin. After growing up so sheltered, he didn't want to stay there and be treated sickly. Already knowing the guard's shifts made it easy to slip out of the gate and into the bustling city. His Pokemon form made it even easier to be left alone in the city (though the tufts of hair in his ears were much longer than a normal Braixen's.) Most people knew the Fabres by their bright red hair and his long mane made him an easy find. So, while wandering around town for the time being, Luke looks way cuter than normal.]
[When he wasn't exhausted, it was easy to change back and forth (most of the time,) so he wasn't worried about getting back home. Eventually, after buying himself a box of box of New Year's treats (things were way easier as a Pokemon that could stand up and carry things like money, even if he couldn't talk to most people,) Luke finds himself at the park. Between eating his sweets and collecting some nice, quality branches he finds laying beneath trees to stick in his tail, he almost feels wistful. His parents had been so worried about them he wasn't sure how to feel about it. Even his father had been emotional at their return. It made him wonder if he should try and be less... reckless. He'd even admit it had been his fault, not Asch's. Not this time.]
It's... my fault. I should tell Asch I'm sorry but... That feels dumb to say out loud. Everyone would just think I was being stupid. Him especially.
[Luke's not quite aware his Psychic powers have gotten stronger due to his evolution. Humans and Pokemon alike may be able to hear his thoughts, he's not being very wary about keeping them to himself. The Braixen chews through another sweet, and looks around at the snow. Finding a bench covered in drifts, he brushes it away with his warm paws (without setting anything on fire this time,) and sits down. At least fur kept him warm, that was nice.]
[Much later, after Luke's gone home for the day. He's shifted back to human form and Mieu, his Flareon, is just out of frame on Luke's lap, making excited yipping noises. Someone's still so excited that master is home.]

Hey, how do I know if people can hear psychic thoughts? Can I test it out on somebody? I dunno if it'll work over the Warp Band, but I gotta figure this out.

Hey, how do I know if people can hear psychic thoughts? Can I test it out on somebody? I dunno if it'll work over the Warp Band, but I gotta figure this out.
no subject
{I guess.}
[He knows she can't understand his yipping but it comes out anyway. He moves his sticks to one side and thinks of giving her one of his last candies but shoves it into his own mouth instead. Okay, he'd grown a little.]
no subject
Cordelia sits, and, seeming to see the line of logic there, chuckles. Some things never change.]
Do you come out here often like this? I imagine you've grown more used to this form.
[Oh, she knew she wouldn't be able to understand him much, if at all, but she would still try to hold as much of a conversation with him as she could.]
no subject
[He puts his wallet back and finishes off his candy. Looking at one of the sticks a moment, he gets an idea and lights the tip on fire but only a little and only for a minute. Using the burnt tip, he wrote onto the surface of the wooden picnic table.]
I haven't snuck out until today!
[As usual, his handwriting is horrible, but Cordelia has always been able to read it.]
no subject
That smile turned into a bit more of a teasing smirk.]
So you did sneak out, then?
no subject
[Now he's wondering if he should have shared his candies. He could keep her quiet then... or not. Probably not. For all he knew, Cordelia was here to look after him because everyone already knew he'd snuck out.]
Don't tell!
no subject
Perhaps you should have thought of that before forgetting to leave me a piece.
[She wouldn't tell, but it was a bit fun to tease every once in a while.]
no subject
Don't tell mom!!! She thinks I'm studying!
[That's probably the most unbelievable thing about this conversation, really.]
no subject
I won't tell your mother, so long as you get home before she notices that you are gone. If not, then I can't be held accountable.
no subject
[Usually, the Fabres didn't make much time to eat together, but after being so long away from home their mother demanded it. Even Crimson had complied. He looks muddled for a moment, before taking notice of something shiny on her hand. A... ring? Wait a minute. He puts his paw up, trying to look more closely, probably getting charcoal on her sleeves.]
no subject
[ She already assumed that Guy either saw him leave or would catch him on his way back, although the blond likely would keep it to himself.
Noting the gesture and his grabbing her arm, Cordelia looks a little confused. ]
Luke, you're getting my coat dirty!
no subject
Braaaaaiii!!
[If he wasn't shifting, the scream would have been louder. He gives her a look like, "is this what I think it is?!" his mouth hanging open in surprise.]
no subject
Please don't shout like that. People will hear you.
[ But she does calm down a bit, managing a bit of an embarrassed smile. ]
I wanted to tell you right away, but mother insisted we wait until the formal announcement.
no subject
You did it while we were gone?!
no subject
It was a bit of an accident, all told! Besides, we had no idea that you and Asch would return. All of us hoped that one day you would, but...
[ Cordelia paused, a pang of guilt catching in her throat. ]
I had nearly given up hope...
