1st Dia: An Auspicious Beginning? [Video/Action]
Video
[Amid all the Salvation Day preparations and wellwishes, there's always bound to be a little bit of normalcy, people just going on about their business. And there's also bound to be a people using the period to spring into new things and make resolutions and find inspiration to change their situation in the story of the Savior. Sometimes it might not seem like much, but to those people, like the young woman who's now addressing the Warp Band? It's a huge deal.
She looks a little nervous and uncomfortable sitting outside under a gazebo, but seems to be managing to smile. It's not forced, but it's a little uncertain, like she's not sure what exactly she's supposed to be doing]
Good...Good afternoon, whoever's paying attention to this thing. I know everyone's probably getting ready for the holiday, but I just got the video function upgrade for my Warp Band and I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Yukiko Amagi. [Her head dips in greeting.] I look forward to...um...talking to you guys with this. I...uh, well...I guess that's about it.
[Yukiko waves a little awkwardly and finishes with:]
Uh...Happy Salvation Day.
[She's about to reach down and close the feed when something green hops up into her lap before shoving it's eye right in the camera. Hope you don't mind a Bulbasaur staring right at you.]
Jiraiya! Cut that out!
[The Pokemon turns around to look at her, not even considering what might be revealed for all to see when he does so. There's a yelp and the feed clicks off, but not before Union gets a pleasant view of a Bulbasaur butt being lifted away from the camera, and a very, very red-faced Yukiko.]
Action
[For anyone that prefers to face to face instead of video to moon meetings, Yukiko's heading out of one of Union's many parks, walking briskly to keep warm in the snow. Jiraiya is prancing around on one of the paths at her feet, hopping up and down excitedly as he dashes towards one of the southern gates in spite of the weather. It may be a bit cold for a first day, but...well, no point in saying you're going to do something if you don't actually do it. There's an air of nervousness to her, as if she's expecting someone to jump out and stop her at any point, but once she reaches the gates and heads outside she seems to relax a bit. Of course, if you actually want to make her jump, it'd be incredibly easy...]

[It hadn't felt like it...]
I...probably didn't notice. We got really busy when Caldera came into the picture and I just stopped remembering faces, honestly. Uh...no offense or anything.
Video
The video upgrade on these things is great for staying connected, though, so it'll be easier to keep up now, even if I am still out ruining my skin exploring instead of coming to your family's place.
Video
[Starting to come back to her...]
And you know, my father always says that a little bit of sun and weather is as good for the skin as a treatment. It's just not good to overexpose, I guess. Though...I guess I'll find out for myself soon enough.
Video
[She looks around, conspiratorially, despite the fact that she's apparently in her apartment.]
Actually, don't spread this around, but with all the other girls who've been showing up wanting to be professional singers, I've been thinking about getting back into it.
Video
[She really isn't worried about that. She can't remember a time she was ever actually cold]
And are you now? I...guess I haven't noticed anything like that, but then...if they don't come on the radio I probably would've missed them. But if there's competition, it might be the best time. I'd come cheer for you, at least...
Video
How about you, anything bit happening in the hospitality industry?
Video
I...well, with all the newcomers from Caldera, Citadel, and now Refuge? We've...hired a lot of new staff and expanded a bit.
[And then she gets a big quieter, almost a mumble.]
And...I think I'm...probably...quitting?
Private Video
Wait, really?
[Said with no judgment, just the intense curiosity of the truly sympathetic.]
What's going on? If you need any advice, I'm an expert at quitting well-paying jobs and family businesses.
Private Video
I just...don't think I want to work for my family anymore? I mean...I have a gift. [She holds up her hand, calling up a small ball of light to show. A miniature sun, as much as a ball of fire.]
But...they want me to keep working there. And I just...well...Rise, I think it's a waste. I should be helping people, working with Pokemon and training myself. I bonded Jiraiya a while ago, and my parents had agreed to let me start doing that. But then Caldera...and...we got busy.
[She seems to firm up though, holding onto Jiraiya tightly.]
But I think I can do more good for more people by becoming a trainer. My father doesn't agree, but I made the choice.
Private Video
It kinda sucks that I think you're older than me, or I'd say you sound like a younger me. That's just how I felt a year ago after that earthquake thing, when I realized I could talk to people in my head and see Pokémon types.
Plus I was sick of weird fans and public appearances, but the point is, do what you think's right.
Private Video
[She has no idea how old Rise is though, she'd guess younger.]
And that's sort of what I'm doing. I'm going out today. I'm making it happen. We had an argument, I don't know how it'll go when I get back, but Jiraiya and I are going to do this. Because you're right. And I think it's right.

[She probably won't act on it immediately, though. At least, outside of questions]
And...actually maybe you can help me with something. Are there any areas you know of that are particularly dangerous this time of year? I sorta figured the mountains, but anything else?

Honestly, the best advice I can give you is to stay in the Forest until you're sure you know what you're doing. Going to Caldera and just hanging around the city's probably safe too, plus it's warmer there.

[Bulba-butt seems pretty pleased by the idea anyway.]
Thank you, Rise. Let me know if that comeback happens too, okay?

[And before she closes it all out.]
Thanks, by the way. And Happy Salvation.
