[ It's been a long day for Bart. He's finally managed to get to Union City! He had seen the Pokemon Habitat, and procured a Warp Band (though he didn't stick around long enough for an explanation of what is does). All he wants to do now is get home and rest. The only problem with that is... Where exactly is home? He knows Fei came to the city, and that he's TOTALLY going to let Bart stay with him. But, beyond that, he has no real facts.

So, rather than using his Warp Band, he is wandering the residential area, harassing everyone he meets. If you're out and about, you're getting stopped by this hurried young man and the seemingly hyperactive Zigzagoon that's darting around his feet. You'll also get this wonderfully helpful description of the man he's looking for. ]

Hey've you seen a guy with a long ponytail, and this kind of face? [ It's really hard to discern what he's going for here. It looks like an expression that's somehow sullen, angry, and nauseated. That's his impression of Fei's "concentrating" face. ] His name's Fei. He's a pretty strong guy. I know he's here somewhere!

[Vanitas had been walking around, with a Woobat comfortably perched on his shoulder, when the guy approaches him. He takes a step back and stares up at the man and frowns]

I have no idea who he is or where

[the Woobat woops and moves his little wings, as if wary of the stranger]

[ A step back? Weird. Bart will take a step closer while his pokemon prances around Vanitas's feet happily. ]

Huh, really? I thought he'd make some friends by now. Oh well... I mean, you sure? I could draw you a picture or something, that'd help, right?

[Vanitas looks down at the pokemon and smiles, it looks cute even though it'll make walking a bit difficult. He looks up to see the guy standing a bit closer and grimaces, only to put on a smile a moment later. He feels like this guy is too close to him, but oh well]

Probably? I don't know many people and Union is big, so maybe a drawing will work, I might have seen your friend here somewhere

Yeah! Okay!

[ Once he rummages through his bag, all he manages to come up with are a single piece of paper, and something that looks like a tiny piece of charcoal. And after what seems like way too long, he presents the drawing he's scratched out. ]



How 'bout now?

[Vanitas stares at the drawing for a bit, tilting his head in hopes it would be better but nothing. He shakes his head, and shrugs]

Sorry but he doesn't seem familiar at all. Maybe take your drawing to the Rangers? They're all over the place and might know him

Fei? You mean Fei Fong Wong?

[ you would be too if you were lost in the woods for six days OKAY this is what he's talking about! A pretty girl who-- Oh wait, she knows Fei. That's right, that's why he's here.

Then again... He's gone this long without his friend. Maybe they need some time apart. That's good for friends, right? He nudges his possibly psychotic Zigzagoon out of the way, and moves forward to take Elly's hand gently. ]

That's exactly who. He's my dear friend, but you probably already know that. I bet he's told you all about me, Bart. And you are...?

[wow tmi what the hell bart Okay, this? What is this? Elly pulls her hand away with a smile that says if you try that again, she's going to start breaking off fingers. Who the hell are you even]

Never heard of you.

[ ALRIGHT, he'll just pull his hand back too and casually run it through his hair as he laughs it off YES LAUGH AWAY THE PAIN BART. ]

He musta been distracted. But hey, you know where he is? It'd really help me out if you could show me where he's at! I could make it up to you sometime!

[ LIKE WITH DINNER, or coffee, or ice cream, or... ]

He's probably at the dojo, if he isn't at home. [Should she really be telling this guy this.] Why are you looking for him, if he's your friend you should know where he is.

[ He cuts off before he has a chance to get too defensive, and instead raises his hand in what he thinks is a cool half wave. ]

Hey, Fei! I just got here. I was telling your friend here that I was looking for you.

[ OKAY BYE ELLY, he's going to move right over to Fei, and lean in close. ]

What's her deal? You're not dating her or something, right?

[ AND in true Bart fashion, that was probably loud enough for her to hear. ]

[So they did know each other, and Fei didn't seem remotely bothered by this guy. She could accept that.

BUT COULD YOU LEARN HOW TO WHISPER PROPERLY?]

[Fei clears his throat meaningfully]

Anyway, what brings you here in the first place? You could have sent word ahead, you know.

[ Metalhawk, sporting wiry golden dreads and an overall steely appearance, scowls. It's not an angry scowl, but stands as his default expression so often that a crease has permanently etched itself in his brow. ]

Me! Oh uh-- Name's Bart.

[ He throws out a hand for a proper handshake. ]

I'm an old friend of Fei's. You know him?

[ Metalhawk grasps Bart's hand with his own. His grip is firm. ]

[ He looks Bart over and rests his gaze on the vibrating Zigzagoon at their feet. ]
