Exhibition Day

[Action the first]
Shortly before the liberation of Sanctuary, Morgiana had agreed to take lessons in actual fighting techniques at the dojo Yuuna went to. Though various things had kept her from being able to devote a huge amount of time to it, she had not given up and had picked up a small amount of skill. Enough that the three of them (Yuuna, Morgiana, and Master Yashio himself) had decided that combined with her skills as a God of War, she would make a fine opponent for the dojo Master in an exhibition match! There hadn't been very many students about lately anyways, so it would probably do them some good.
And so, one windy September day, Morgiana and Yashio (who happened to be a Mienshao shifter.) stood on a cleared out space in the street outside the dojo. Above the door, behind them, was a sign declaring that the school was now accepting new students. They bowed to each other, then began.
Morgiana was fast, as always, and hit like a speeding bus. But somehow, despite her acrobatic leaps and dashes, she never was quite able to land a blow. The old man, without any apparent sense of urgency, effortlessly deflected and redirected Morgiana's attacks, casually flipped her through the air to land flat on her back, and generally just kicked her ass without trying. They would do a round, then stop for a few minutes to answer questions and catch their breath, then do another. Morgiana had an impressive amount of stamina, and Yashio just wasn't using a lot of energy, so there was no reason not to go on most of the day.
[Action the second]
Hanging along the sides of the crowd, a towering figure vaguely sulked. His partner was busy right now, which once he would have used to his advantage to get into all kinds of trouble. Gultas, the shiny pangoro, had once upon a time been tiny and adorable. Girls had let him get away with lots of things because he looked like a little teddy bear. Now, he was a towering seven feet tall, and found that people tended to find him intimidating more than cute.
He reached over to a box next to him, pulled out an apple, and bit it in half as he watched Morgiana fight.
