aerial_ace[ACTION | OPEN (around Union)]
[For the last month, Cordelia had been scarce. The addition of a temporary roommate made it easier for her to go on longer exertions without worrying that something would happen in her absence. Which is exactly what she had done, but not for the reason that one might think. She wasn't out exploring; no, she had far different things on her mind.
It had been three years since that incident, and still she hadn't grown stronger, hadn't learned anything. Hadn't felt like she had atoned for her mistakes. That needed to change.
She returned midday, and looked a bit different. A bit leaner--perhaps from being out for so long--and a bit more tired looking than before. Despite this, she could be seen flitting about Union, doing her best to try to get things done that she had neglected over the past month.
A trip to the forgery to talk to a smith about a new spear. Something with a bit more range. Checking in with the Rangers, Guards and Swords of the Savior for various reasons (although there seemed to be something about putting in a "good word for a friend"). Visiting the habitat to check on her Hoothoot. Getting groceries, as her apartment was likely bare by this point--after all, her temporary roommate had moved out a few weeks ago.
All throughout her errands, she seems to be a bit off, as if something else is going on in her mind. She appears distracted, and is likely easy to sneak up on. Approach?]
[ACTION | CLOSED (Cordelia's apartment)]
[Her body felt strange. It had for the last few days, but she continued to push through it. A little pain never stopped her, and it probably had something to do with sleeping on the ground for the better part of a month.
Unlocking the door to her apartment, she let it close behind her, a somewhat worried Houndoom trailing behind her. Cordelia didn't seem to notice. She was home. It was good to be home. And yet, something about that seemed to sap that last little bit of energy from her, and, a few steps into the living room, the world shifted at a 45 degree angle suddenly.
She didn't remember what happened next, only that the room became very bright, and she could hear Houndoom barking in the distance. Her muscles and head ached terribly, and she was on the floor. And somehow, even though she couldn't quite place it, she felt different.]
