[With the earthquake having shook the foundations of the city, there had been much cause for panic. And in the case of the Old City, it seemed that it meant to flee in droves. Flynn was unfortunately caught in the stampede going on in the streets and was currently trying to get out of the way of the fleeing Pokemon. Oberon, who had recently evolved into Beautifly, was flying above him and helping him maneuver his way out of the wave.

Any chatter that might have been going on from the wild Pokemon blended together and became muddled together, making him unable to pick out anything coherent. At the moment though, getting to a place where he was less likely to be trampled was his current priority.]

But if we get trampled over then we won't be able to do anything about it then either.

[...In the next moment, Lucas's body is glowing like a lantern in the middle of the street. His own personal abilities had never been strong enough to do more than communicate emotion, but...

There comes an empathic broadcast of calm. Perhaps Flynn might feel it, too. He takes his own energy and releases it outwards, as he does while healing, but directing it into the mental realm rather than the physical.

[It does seem that a few Pokemon were affected, but the majority of them just kept on running. Flynn gets in front of Lucas to guard him from an off-shoot of the main group. Oberon flew overhead, loosing several string shots to pin some of the Pokemon down so they could calm down, even as they struggled.]

[After a few minutes of this, the light show ends and Lucas slumps back a little bit. He'll glance about, a bit dazed, to assess the situation.]
