Wave 5: Dream Pool Party! [Dream]

[The sun shines brightly against the bright blue sky of Nami's dream while a cool breeze drifts in. Waves tumble against the white sand as many Milotic come to shore. Some of them even carry Feebas on their backs. Nami, in her human form, is there to greet them all.]

You're all fin-ally here! The surface world isn't so bad once you get the hang of it. And to welcome you all here, POOL PARTY!

[Nami steps to the side like a someone ready to present a huge prize. Sure enough there's a bunch of large swimming pools to accommodate even the biggest of pokemon. There's tons of those floating rings, beach balls and other pool toys for others to use. Lili the Dragonair and Squirt the Poliwhirl chill in one of the pools while Swift the Murkrow sunbathes on one of the coconut trees that dot the beach. A small Pumpkaboo by the name of Gordy floats around while humming some tune it only knows. Anyone who comes to Nami's dream are dressed in appropriate pool party clothes because why the shell not. If there's a frown in the crowd, Nami will be there to splash water them.]

[A startled shriek. Normally, she would be delighted by the display--it's a cultural lesson AND it's a pool party! But instead, she's too busy fretting about the change of attire. Good Gods why. She did not need the world to see her world.

But okay, focus Lux. It's okay. Other people are probably dressed about the same way hopefully, which is honestly kind of embarrassing, but also a little liberating. She should try to have fun at least, right?]

[And here we have a Lux, completely unaware of the pair of eyes watching her. Gordy in the mean time floats by her and hums a rather ominous tune. In the pool behind Lux, the water ripples as something swims closer to the edge. In a second, there's a huge splash as something jumps out and hugs Lux from behind. Gordy flys away to avoid getting soaked.

Wait, why does it feel like something very squishy hit her? The voice shorely would be familiar though.]

[Ezreal, on the other hand, looks quite appreciative. He leans over to Lux and whispers in her ear]

Lux! They're BIGGER!

[ Shyvana is also in swimwear, but she seems less bothered about that than the floating rings, which look like a barrel of fun. And Lux is a familiar face, so she'll excitedly go up to you (not unlike a puppy) and point at the rings. ]

Lux! Are those for anyone to play with?

[DREAM WORLD WHY... It's not that she's extremely uncomfortable, but it's not her usual attire which the change catch her off guard. At least the pro of having wing arms is hiding most of it via folding her arms.

Still, her Pokémon aren't with her and she's defenseless and what if this turns into a nightmare later? If the Dream World taught her anything, it's to always be on guard for anything. She's just going to sit at the edge of a pool, contemplating if she should swim or not.]

[She is so jealous of the wing arms right now, you don't even know. But they're here, so they should probably enjoy themselves.]

Quinn? Quinn!

[She raises an arm and waves.]

[There's a certain amount of jealousy to be had here, but Garen shrugs it off and sidles over awkwardly. He knew he wasn't going to go unnoticed in the end. So it was time to use those social skills.]

I'm glad one of us is managing decency. How are you handling this dream business?

[Though this was turning into more of a nightmare than dream he decided finally, picking up a towel and draping it over his shoulders...only for it to fade away after a few seconds of cover. He counted his blessings that he was at least wearing something.]

[That's right, there is a girl jumping into the pool right as she got here. To make this worse (or fun), there's a Blastoise joining in for the cannonball.

You might want to move to the edge quickly or face the wrath of getting splashed if you are in it, but they did pick a fairly empty and one of the quite large pools.]

[Hanayo shields her face with an arm as the resulting wave of water comes washing over her, laughing as she starts to splash back. Yup, bestie is here too, Rin.]

[Can you get a tan in dream worlds? Well, Nozomi is certainly going to try. It was a lot more fun watching people splash around, and somehow she's even managed to get herself a drink with a cute umbrella and a small mago berry curled around the rim. At any given time, she can be found lounging around the side of one of the pools, or dipping her feet in.]

Hey, where'd you get the drink?

[ Melaka for her part says this as she swims up to the edge of the pool. Enjoying that dream water is less potentially fatal than real water, and she can swim better here despite just being a visitor. It's nice. But she's a bit winded and could use a drink of not weird tasting water, and whatever that drink is she can even smell it a little ]

[Estelle's proud yell fills the air as the girl runs and jumps, leaping into a pool. Nevermind that she has a top and shorts which may not be the best for swimming. She can't turn down getting into the water.]

[Which is when Adol the Eevee washes up on the side of a pool, because some jokes don't die. He sighs.]

This is awesome! You should get in here, people!

[Well. This looks nice, as long as it doesn't turn into a nightmare. After some of the stuff he's been through already in the Dream World, Asemu could use a break. The white swimming trunks didn't leave him embarrassed, either -- they looked good, and he had confidence in the way he looked without a shirt.

He comes to rest on the side of a pool, legs dangling in the water, as he leans back and puts his hands behind his head. Time to relax.]

[ Metalhawk, in a simple pair of golden swimming trunks, eyes the water with deep suspicion. It's not that he expects anything to leap out at him...it's just—]

[ Can't is more like it, but that's neither here nor there. ]

Goten pops up from underneath the water, close to the edge so that he can greet Metalhawk.] Hi mister!

[Rise is feeling surprisingly okay with this, even if it's not her normal swimwear.]

You know, melodramatic nightmares aside, I'm kind of okay with this dream world stuff...

[Did he need this? No. Not in the slightest. Sure the swimwear was trendy and hip, but he felt exposed without his armor or at least a sword unless it was on his own terms and he didn't see a swordbelt on his person either to hold one. Not to mention this was a pretty indecent amount of skin to flash to perfect strangers. Garen supposed this was his fate for avoiding everyone under the sun, but that didn't mean he had to be social. He was just going to tip-toe to one of those big pools over there and maybe make it without being noticed...]

...didn't expect to see him around here. She's not even looking even kind of professional! At least he isn't either. ]

[A little Pumpkaboo floats on by as he passes Garen, happily humming a rather ominous tune. In one of big pools, Nami quietly swims up to the surface up until the last second with a large splash and a laugh. She goes ahead and sits on the pool ledge. Where legs should be, there's a shiny Milotic tail in their place. And of course in pool party tradition, she's wearing a simple blue string bikini top.]

Hey there! I don't think I've seen your face before. What's your name?

[ If Katarina is surprised by her sudden shift in attire, she certainly doesn't show it. The black bikini is rather stringy and nondescript, and while it leaves little to the imagination, Katarina never had issues when it came to showing a bit of skin.

While her Litwick isn't anywhere to be seen, Katarina can't say she minds. Sinistra likely wouldn't fare well in a setting that was so... well, wet. Provided that this dream didn't turn into some sort of nightmare, it was probably fine.

The ranger finds a relatively empty pool and sits at its far end, dipping her legs into the water, watching the festivities from a distance. She has no desire to get properly wet just yet, and the expression on her face adequately reflects the sentiment. ]

[In his travels so far today in the dream, Garen has made the firm affirmation that this is actually just a nightmare with a few pleasant elements rolled in. He was under-dressed, and all of these other pool goers were Rangers, that certainly had something to say to him. When he finally passes the redhead, he thought momentarily that it was one of the many he actually knew.

Coming around beside her, he pauses as it turns out this isn't the case. He knew of her at least so that made it less awkward. At least only so much as she was yet another Ranger.]

Du Couteau, isn't it?

[He certainly can't just walk off now that he did stop so perhaps something light until trouble comes up.]

[ Melaka is not super fond of her own swimsuit. Oh sure, the top is fine. A little small, a little tight for her liking, but it's really not bad all things considered. Now, the bottom of it...

Why couldn't they give her some shorts?

Dammit. But, while she is not comfortable 100%, she is enjoying what special thing which comes with this pool party: while in reality she is only barely able to swim (and is a bit of a rock what with not mastering treading water and having so much muscle), in this dream, perhaps because it's just meant to be happy, she can masterfully swim. So you know what she's going for? She and her Toxicroak (Lurks) are just going to be racing around a lap lane. They might be being a little bit hardcore about this, and winded by the end of several races ]
